Leaving for Auradon

As everyone raced to hide from Maleficent, the five teens stayed put though not without a hint of caution. Mal put on a smile as she went over to her mother, waving the lollipop she stole from the baby. Maleficent stood in her leather and cloth, purple and black draped gown and leather horns adorning her head, mapping out her square jaw and sunken cheek bones.

"That's my nasty little girl," she praised, snatching the candy from Mal. Everyone shifted uneasily as it wasn't common for Maleficent to give praise to her daughter.

"Oliver!" A voice called out, causing the boy in question to tense drastically. Peering up, his green eyes met those of his mother as stood in front of him. Her sharp jaw was clenched tightly with annoyance, and her jet black hair with blue undertones had specks of grey that showed her age, along with the wrinkles on her face.

Before the villains were booted off to Auradon, Gothel had escaped her prison after miraculously surviving the fall off of the tower when being tripped by Pascal, Rapunzel's chameleon. She had enough strength to find Maleficent and ask her to help restore her youth, which the dark fairy did, but the spell only worked with the green emerald ring on her finger kept shining. The emerald ring matched the one Oliver wore, as to keep Gothel in her youth for more years to come, she needed another life force to connect it too.

Oliver was raised by Gothel when she found him in an alleyway as a baby. Taking him in, she raised him and took 'care' of him. No one knew how the magic survived on the Isle, but no one dared to ask.

"Mo-Mother," Oliver stuttered, smiling weakly as she moved closer. Her dark maroon colored dress swayed behind her, picking up dust from the street floor.

Gothel wore a heavy frown as she stared at her son. "Oliver, what did I say about leaving the cottage? Especially without telling me where you were going."

"Not too." Oliver swallowed quickly, sensing his mother's irritation. Reaching in to his pocket he pulled out a silver beauty mirror and held it out to her. "But I was looking for a gift to give you. For Mother's Day. You always said that you wanted a mirror small enough to carry in your pocket."

Gothel hummed as she took the mirror, opening it and checking her reflection. Everyone watched tentatively as she studied it for a few minutes, before closing it and turning her attention back to Oliver. "Good boy, always so considerate. Even on Mother's Day."

"How could I forget? It's everyday of the year." Oliver muttered under his breath before silencing himself as Gothel nodded to Maleficent. "Now listen up, we've got some news."

Maleficent snapped her fingers and turned back to the children. "You four have been chosen to go to a different school. In Auradon."

Instantly, Jay, Carlos, and Evie tried to run away but only to be stopped by Maleficent's henchmen as they wrestled them back to the ground.

Mal scoffed in outraged, giving her mother an incredulous look. "What? I'm not going to some boarding school with zome prissy pink princesses-"

"And perfect princes." Evie swooned, moving to stand next to Mal as she thought of finding her Prince Charming. When she noticed the look Mal shot her, she quickly moved back.

Hearing a snap, Oliver turned to his mother as she waved him over with urgency. "Oliver, we will continue talking about this at Bargain Castle."

Oliver went to follow after his mother, only to stop when he noticed someone wasn't standing beside him. "Wait, where's Issa?" He asked, looking around for the raven haired girl.

"I've sent teo Knuckles to retrieve her. She has to hear the news as well. Now lets go." Maleficent answered.

Issa hissed at the henchmen as they tried to shove her forward, daring them to touch her. They'll end up with missing fingers before they ever get a chance. Rolling her eyes, she threw open the door to Bargain Castle and jogged up the stairs to where she heard bickering.

Upon turning the corner, she huffed when she heard her mother muttering about her never being on time. "I only learn from the best, Ma."

Queen Narcissa gave her a look before narrowing her eyes at her. Her black robes hugged her figure, and her red hair simpler to Issa's was drawn back by a leather headband around her hairline. "Where were you? The Knuckleheads took forever to find you."

"They should've checked the house then," Issa stated, crossing her arms. "Anyway, what was so urgent that I had to be here? No offense, auntie." She gave Maleficent a fake smile.

"Auradon." Her mother said simply.

Issa narrowed her eyes in confusion. "What?"

Maleficent waved her over from where she sat on her throne. "Come, come, come," Issa walked over and stood beside Oliver, sending him a small smile. She was closest with him and Evie and Carlos, than Jay and Mal. "You will go, you will find the Fairy Godmother, and you will bring me her wand." Maleficent paused and blew away the dust that collected on her nails. "Easy peasy."

"So let me get this straight, you want us to go a school filles with stuck up royals to retrieve a wand?" Issa crossed her arms. "I don't see the need too."

Mal nodded in agreement. "Yeah, mom, I'm not going to be hanging around some dumb royals."

Maleficent tossed the nail file over her shoulder and stood up from her throne, waving Mal over with a finger. "It's all about me and you, baby. Do you enjoy watching people suffer?"

Mal snorted as if it were the most obvious question. "Well, yeah. I mean who doesn't."

"Well then get me the wand," Maleficent snapped, her voice rising slightly, causing Evie and Carlos to jump, moving closer to Issa. "And you and I can have that, and so much more. And with that wand and my scepter, I will be able to bend both good and evil to my will!"

From the table in the center, the Evil Queen, lowered her mirror taking a break from staring at her reflection. "Our will," she corrected, earning nods in regards from Cruella di Vil and Jafar.

Maleficent waved it off. "Yes, yes, our will. And if you refuse, you'll be grounded for the rest of your life missy."

Mal gasped in outrage. "Mom-!" Before she could finish, Maleficent snapped her fingers in front of Mal's face, lowering so that they were eye level, her eyes glowing a bright green. Mal growled in frustration as her eyes did the same, trying to test her abilities against her mother's.

Everyone, however, knew that Mal didn't stand a chance as Maleficent always won and made it know to rub it in her daughter's face.

"I win!" Maleficent cried boastfully.

Mal stomped her foot in frustration. Issa and Oliver gave her a comforting smile, even though they sometimes didn't get along, didn't mean they didn't care for each other. "You'll get her next time."

"Evie, my little evilette in training," the Evil Queen called, causing Evie to run over and sitting in the seat across from her. "You just find yourself a prince with a big castle and a mother-in-law wing," she instructed before squealing along with her daughter. "And lots and lots of mirrors!"

Evie laughed at the possibility of finding her own prince and living in a castle, but quickly straightened up as shook her head, stopping her. "No laughing, wrinkles."

Issa walked over to her mother who moved hair out of her face, lips pursed. "Mom, I'm supposed to be seeing dad soon. How can I do that in Auradon?"

"You'll find a way, you always do. And your father is persistent in seeing you-but that one be anything for you to worry about," she grabbed her by her cheeks, leaning closer. "once you bring me that wand."

Issa casted a look Maleficent's way. "You know she's going to hog all the magic for herself. What are you going to do if that happens?"

Queen Narcissa pursed her lips and pressed a kiss in to Issa's forehead. "That's for me to know, and you to find out."

Issa smiled at that. It was rare that her mother would show her any affection other than a pinch on the cheek, if that could count. Her kissing her forehead made Issa just want to stay in this moment, her mother in close proximity and not just for scolding. She loved her mother, and would do anything to make her love her back.

"Oliver, come help mother dearest," Gothel called as she sat beside the multicolored window, combining her finger through her hair. "Mommy needs a root touch up." She fretted, poking at the strands of grey.

Oliver quickly walked over to her, grabbing a nearby can of hair spray. Standing besides her he gently glided the mist over the roots of her hair, while Gothel applied a new coat of lipstick.

"Now Oliver, you love your mother don't you?"

Oliver looked down at her in confusion. "Yeah, of course-"

"And you want her to be happy, don't you?" She asked, narrowing her eyes at her reflection to decide whether she wanted to try a different color.

"Yes."

"And do you believe that she is the most beautiful woman in the world?" Her question sounded more like a statement rather than a question, but Oliver nodded in response anyway. "Good boy. Mommy loves you with all her heart-"

"Right next to your emerald ring, and makeup." Oliver said.

"Correct. And as a Mother's Day gift, I want you to go to Auradon. The school will be good for you, and your friends will be going as well."

Oliver picked at the ring on his finger unsure. "But Mom-" he was cut off by Gothel grabbing him by the chin, lifting his head so he could look at her.

"We talked about this. No muttering, I hate it when you do that." She huffed lowly, taking a deep breath before putting on a smile. "Now, whether you like it or not you will go to Auradon. Or Mommy will be very disappointed and all that stress..." She sniffed, fanning her face. "You know it gives me wrinkles."

Sensing his mother's distress, he quickly nodded. "Don't worry, Mom. I'll go."

"Oh, well, they're not taking my Carlos because I'd miss him too much." Cruella said. Carlos looked up at her with hope in his eyes that his mother could actually cared about him.

"Really Mom?"

"Yes. Who would touch up my roots, fluff my fur, and scrape the bunions off my feet?" She asked, lifting up her leg so that Carlos was holding it.

Carlos frowned in dissapointment. "Yeah, maybe a new school wouldn't be the worst thing."

Issa shook her head, holding her tongue knowing that it would make things worse. She knew Cruella wasn't a good mother, making Carlos her personal assistent and treating him poorly. It was so bad that she made him sleep in a dog cage, in a closet, surrounded by bear traps. When they first met, she thought he was a dog. But deep down, Issa could admit that she was just as bad compared to Gothel. She saw the bruises on Oliver arms and face from her grabbing him to hard, and how he would shiver in his sleep, afraid he might not hear her call for him.

"Oh, Carlos," Cruella said in a sing-song voice, malicious intents hidden behind her tone. "they have dogs at Auradon." She stroked his cheek, smiling at his fearful expression.

Carlos shook his head. "Oh no, I'm not going."

"Well, Jay isn't either." Jafar announced. "I need him to restock the shelves in my store." He pushed Jay further back in to a corner of the room, lowering his voice. "What did you steal?" Jay smirked proudly and pulled out a lamp hidden within his clothes, causing Jafar to gasp in excitement. "A lamp?" Anxiously, he grabbed the lamp and rubbed it with anticipation.

Jay sighed, putting his hands out to stop his father. "Dad, dad, I already tried it."

Jafar grunted and threw the lamp back at Jay.

"Evie's not going anywhere until we get rid of this unibrow," the Evil Queen said, and Evie fearfully put a hand to her forehead.

Maleficent had had enough, snarling in frustration she shot up from her throne. "What is wrong with you all?! People used to cower at the mention of our names! For twenty years, I have searched for a way off this island and these people are practically giving us that, and you are just going to refuse it? They have robbed us of getting revenge and now we have the perfect opportunity to get it."

She pointed to the Evil Queen. "Revenge on Snow White and her horrible little men."

"Ow," the Evil Queen muttered in disgust.

"Revenge on Aladdin and his bloated Genie."

As Jafar let out a cry, and tried to lurch forward, Jay held him back.

"Revenge on Rapunzel and that prickly little thief of a man she calls husband. Who should be in here as well!"

Gothel growled furiously at the thought of wretched daughter, her nose flaring. Oliver glanced nervously at his mother, trying not to step back.

"Revenge on Giselle and insufferable brat of a son!"

Queen Narcissa tensed slightly at Maleficent's words, but only turned her attention outside of the window. Issa looked at her mother from the corner of her eye, but didn't say anything.

"Revenge on every sneak Dalmatian that escaped from your clutches."

Cruella went wide eyed, grabbing the stuffed dog toy on her collar. "But they didn't get the baby! They didn't get the baby!" She cackled maniacally.

Maleficent shook her head in frustration. "And I, Maleficent, the evilest of them all, I will finally have my revenge on Sleeping Beauty and her relentless little prince." She sneered at the meer thought before glancing over her shoulder. "EQ, give her the mirror."
