Blood shed
No one's pov
The fighting raged on for hours. Body after body fell to the blood soaked ground, while the 13 dwarvish company stayed behind stone walls, thorin watching the carnage of his kin like it was nothing.
"Since when do we forsake our own people? Thorin, they are dying out there." Dwalin asked his old friend, hoping for a decent response to show him he was still the man he knew. "There are halls beneath halls within this mountain - places we can fortify." Thorin replied as if he weren't listening. A mixture of anger and disappointment graced dwalin's features.
"Shore up, make safe. Yes...Yes - that is it. We must move the gold further underground - to safety!" Thorin said, consumed by the sickness of the gold he behind to walk away but Dwalin angrily calls out to him. "Did you not hear me?! Dain is surrounded! I don't even know where Bilbo and ash have gone! They're being slaughtered, Thorin." He screamed. "Many die in war. Life is cheap. But a treasure such as this cannot be counted in lives lost. It is worth all the blood we can spend!" Thorin said. And with that, dwalin have up fighting.
"You sit here in these vast halls, with a crown upon your head, and yet you are lesser now than you have ever been." Dwalin commented sadly. "Do not speak to me as if I was some lowly dwarf lord..." thorin began, he slowly started sounding more and more insane as he continued. "As-As if I were still...Thorin... Oakenshield. I AM YOUR KING!" Thorin roars as he pulls out his sword; however, he is so unbalanced that he almost falls over.
"You were always my king. You used to know that once." Dwalin says as he bows his head in sorrow. "You cannot see that you have become." He finished. But thorin refuses to listen. "Go! Get out...before I kill you." Thorin days with venom and scared hesitance lacing his tone. After looking at each other for a while, Dwalin turns and leaves.
Thorin's pov
I walked through the hall in which i tried to drown Smaug; the entire floor is covered in gold a few feet deep. Voices and whispers ran through my mind, making my world sway and causing me to stumble.
You sit here...with a crown upon your head...you are lesser now than you have ever been...
...but a treasure such as this cannot be counted in lives lost...
..a sickness lies upon that treasure...
...the blind ambition of a mountain-king...
...AM I NOT THE KING...
...this gold...is ours...and ours alone...
..treasure..
..I will not part with a single coin...
...he could not see beyond his own desire...
...as if I was some lowly dwarf lord...
...Oakenshield...
...a sickness that drove your grandfather mad...
...Oakenshield...
...this is Thorin, son of Thrain, son of Thror...
...I am not my grandfather...my grandfather.
...you are the heir to the throne of Durin...
..they are dying out there.
..take back...take Erebor...
...Dain is surrounded... surrounded...is surrounded...Dain is surrounded...
...take back your homeland...
...you are changed, Thorin...
...You were born into the wrong race my friend..
...I am not my grandfather...
...is this treasure truly worth more than your honor...
...I am not my grandfather...
The voices suddenly stop, my head is swimming... I can't think straight. I look down to see the shadowy shape of Smaug sliding beneath the gold...
....this treasure will be your death...
I screams scream as the gold melts suddenly and I start to sink. I'm drowning in something I coveted for so long... I try to swim up but I'm being dragged down. I keep screaming hoping anyone will hear me but soon my exit closes and it's all dark. My eyes shoot open as I fast for air as I lean against a pillar. The gold is solid.. I throw my crown off me in disgust. I must find the others...

Just inside the gates of Erebor, the dwarves of the Company sit desolately, hearing the cries of battle outside but unable to help their kin. They rise as they see Thorin approaching from further in the mountain, sword drawn. He is no longer dressed in his royal robes and arbor, but in a simple leather outfit. Kili rises and begins shouting, anger over watching his kin be slaughtered taking over.
"I will not hide behind a wall of stone, while others fight our battles for us!" He screamed. Thorin and Kili continue to approach each other. Kili, know on the verge of tears says, almost begs "It is not in my blood, Thorin." As they stop in front of each other.
"No, it is not. We are sons of Durin. And Durin's folk do not flee from a fight." Thorin states with his old comforting smile as he lays his hand on Kili's shoulder. Kili smiles back at him through his tears. They touch foreheads showing true family affection.
Thorin then turns to the rest of the dwarves. "I have no right to ask this of any of you; but will you follow me one last time?" Thorin asks. The dwarves rise and raise their weapons, ready to follow their leader and friend again.
Meanwhile Dain and his surviving dwarves set up a desparate shield wall in front of the moat by Erebor's gates; the orcs line up by rank, ready to attack them. Azog suddenly stops the orcs with him on the hill from signalling the attack. He orders them to wait while two trolls marched to the front of ranch's. He held ash's limp body by his side, gripping her hair tightly so she wouldn't move. She couldn't. She was half conscious, and no one even know where she was.. he orders the attacks and ash watches in dismay as the trolls march forward. She closes her eyes tightly so she won't have to think about the carnage if her friends till she is forced to open them again.. but suddenly another signalling horn was heard.
it is Bombur, atop the wall. The orcs stop in confusion. The barricade of rocks in the gateway of Erebor suddenly smashes outward as it is hit from inside by a giant golden statue that the dwarves had hung up like a bell. The rocks fall forward and make a rough bridge across the moat. Thorin and his dwarves rush out and through the ranks of the Iron Hills dwarves; Azog looks on in shock. Dain begins shouting to his troops. "TO THE KING! TO THE KING!" Dain screamed as he and his men rallied to his cousin. Thorin screamed a dwarvish order as he lead the way, the dwarves forming a wedge behind him. They smash their way through the orc ranks, releasing their pent up anger and hatred.
Azog cursed the dwarvish king's name and gripped ash's hair tighter, almost ripping it from the roots. But she didn't care, they were going to win. She could feel it. She didn't even care about dying as long as her friends lived. She slowly pulled her sword back to her with her foot. It had been shattered and all that was left was half of it. It was good enough for one more attack, and she needed it. She slipped it back into her sheets and pulled her shirt over it slightly so it wasn't noticeable.
Row after row of orcs the dwarves slaughtered, claiming the victor they so sweetly deserved. On the battlefield, Thorin calls out to Dain, who is not far away. Dain does the same in response, they slowly got closer to eachother as they kept slaughtering any orc to come near them. "Hey cousin, what took you so long?!" Dain asked, almost as if they were having simple banter over a drunk. In a brief respite, they are able to meet and hug. "There's too many of these buggars, Thorin. I hope you've got a plan." Dain comments to his cousin while he swings at an orc to make it back away.
Thorin looks up and sees the hilltop on which Azog's wooden machines and signalling orders. "Aye - We're going to take out their leader!" Thorin replied, glaring daggers at it. "Azog..." Dain mutters in fear. Thorin strides forward and mounts a large battle goats that Dain's army had brought along with the pigs. "I'm gonna kill that piece of filth!" Thorin said with venom lacing his tone.
Thorin, Dwalin, Fili, and Kili, each on a goat, charge toward Azog's hill, smashing through the Orc armies in their way. Azog the defiler would be no more, and thorin wanted to be sure he wouldn't end the line of durin
