The Sudden Visitor
"Don't worry NorthLight, we are here for you." Raker said with a sliver of a smile at the usually grumpy dragon. But this time, she wasn't grumpy at all. She sighed. The sun was starting to set. "I'm gonna go to bed. We have a big day tomorrow." NorthLight said with a sigh of sadness as she walked over to a nearby stream and jumped in. Raker knew since she was part Seawing she was going to sleep in the calm River. "We can travel to Possibility tomorrow." Raker said. "What's 'Possibility'.?" DeadWings asked as confusion splashed on her face. "It's a town in the desert where dragons from all tribes live there. They have festivals and lots of food. I heard it was a great place." Raker said, moving the burning logs in the fire with her talon. The fire sparked and embers came out, floating into the sky. "How do you know about it?" DeadWings asked. "Oh, I heard some Sandwings talking about it back at the arena. They said something about trading a dragonflame cactus to a nightwing. But it's not a big deal, they can't trade it unless they break out of the prison." DeadWings nodded with no emotion as she stares into the fire. Raker suddenly felt sympathy for her. She saw longing and great sadness in her eyes. Raker tried her best to not read her mind. She didn't want to invade her personal space. But she edged closer to DeadWings and brushed her wing against hers. "Don't worry, if anyone touches you or hurts you, I'll make sure they pay. And they will pay in a horrible way." Raker said, looking to her side at DeadWings with great kindness in her eyes. DeadWings looked at her and smiled. Raker hugged her in a comforting way and then backed away. "Your my friend. And that's all that matters to me. Also, if your safe and happy." Raker said, knowing the happy part might not go out as planned. She made sure DeadWings was asleep next to the fire. Raker decided to stay up and keep watch for any enemies that might come their way.
After what seemed like hours, Raker's eyes began to droop. She heard odd splashing sounds from the river. She just guessed it was NorthLight. The splashing came so loud, it sounded as if a dragon jumped out of the water. In which case, a dragon did. And it wasn't NorthLight. Brute force knocked the breath out of Raker and pinned her to the ground. She saw DeadWings was sound asleep, but her forehead crinkled and she shifted around a bit. She looked up and saw a dragon with a dark hood over its head. She saw glowing spots underneath where the eyes should be and knew it was a Seawing. The Seawing was wearing a long black cape. It was almost like this dragon was trying to hide their identity. With anger that this dragon was attacking them, Raker shoved to Seawing off of her as hard as she could. The Seawing landed back- first into the campfire. Flames went everywhere. The dragon roared in anger and quickly leaped out of the fire. The dragon's hood came off and saw that this dragon was a female Seawing. It was Tsunami! "Tsunami of the seawings?!" Raker yelled with excitement. She saw DeadWings was now awake and so was NorthLight. They both squinted their eyes in sleepiness. Their eyes immediately widened once they saw the Seawing. They too thought it was Tsunami. "Tsunami? What? I'm not Tsunami!" The Seawing spat. She opened her wings to look at the black burn marks the fire made on her back. Raker and the others saw that there were odd glowing markings underneath her wings. That was very odd. Raker turned from amazed, to angry. "Well whoever you are, what's your problem?! We didn't do anything to you!" Raker roared. Raker now realized that this Seawing was smaller then Tsunami. She was about the size of Raker. "I thought you were someone else okay?! I'm being hunted down by certain seawings." The Seawing admitted. "What's your name?" DeadWings asked as if she were demanding it like she was a queen. "My name.. My name is Glow." The Seawing replied.
