Dying
Raker opened her eyes again. She saw a Skywing standing over her. He was a very familiar Skywing. She realized the blind eye and the dark ash gray scales around his eyes and going down his snout. It was Ash. She still felt stabbing pain in her chest. She breathed and gasped for air. Blood came out of her mouth and down the sides of her bottom jaw. "A-Ash..." She tried to speak. "Wake up Raker." She heard him say. "W-what?" She choked out. "I said wake up." He said again. "Wake up Raker! Don't die!" He yelled. He started spinning in circles in her head, and then it changed out to be DeadWings standing over her. The blurriness was wiping away from her eyes. "Don't die Raker!" She yelled. "W-what? I'm not dead.. Am I?" Raker's eyes flew open and she immediately sat up, panting. DeadWings was just Ash. Maybe she was hallucinating. She put her talons on her head and curled into a ball. The pain in her chest hurt her even more now. She saw Tsunami next to her and put a wing around her. "Sit down. You need to rest. You were stabbed and you have lost a lot of blood." Tsunami said. Raker realized she was light headed and weak. She looked at her arms and tail, she was pale! "What happened? It all happened so quick. DeadWings, you were Ash." Raker said weakly. She saw StarFlight come to her with big leaves. He had bandages over his eyes. She heard he became blind whenever the volcano at the abandoned nightwing kingdom exploded. She felt slight sympathy for him. He kneeled next to her and DeadWings backed out of his way, looking at Raker sadly. He put the bandage tightly over Raker's wound. She roared loudly in pain. She squirmed underneath him. He had put some kind of medicine on it. "Calm down. Sit still." Tsunami said pinned her down as StarFlight continued to put the leaves on. "It hurts because it's killing germs." He said in a calm, low voice. Raker reached her talons out to DeadWings. DeadWings walked over to her, StarFlight moved out of her way once she let him know she was coming by brushing his wing. "If I die.. Promise me something." Raker choked out. Tears swelled in DeadWings eyes, and so did Raker's. "Tell Ash-" she was cut off. "No, your not dying. I won't let you die." She heard DeadWings say. "Tell Ash.. I love him. If I die, please stop him, stop the monster Scarlet has put in him. You must receive the chain around his neck, and destroy it." Raker said as her head rested on the floor. "She might not make it." Tsunami said sadly. Raker closed her eyes once more. She heard roars of agony and loss. She knew it was DeadWings. Was she dying? "No! Raker!!" She heard the echoes of DeadWings roaring once she shut her eyes. The grip Raker had on DeadWings talons loosened and her talons dropped to the floor with no emotion except death. She heard crying from DeadWings next to her. Raker was standing in complete darkness. The only thing she felt was cold stone underneath her talons. Was she dead? She walked around in the blackness. She still heard echoes of crying and roaring and loss. She tried to make it stop by putting her talons over her head and squeezing her head and closing her eyes shut, trying to block out the voices that echoed and whispered in her head. She saw DeadWings and heard the word "Burn..." So simply. "DeadWings.. Don't listen to them." But DeadWings didn't notice her. DeadWings just continued to sit in the blackness with Raker. Then DeadWings started to fade, blood was coming from her scales and eyes and mouth. She started to fade away, her face drenched with horror. Once she was gone, Raker was left alone in the darkness and solitude. Her chest was completely fine. Please don't be dead. I hope I'm just in a coma. Please don't be dead. She thought to herself as she stood in the darkness, the words echoing in her head. He fell to the hard and cold stone underneath her, even though she couldn't see it. She laid in the ground as if she were dead and started to cry. Her wings were covering her body.
