Chapter Sixteen

It was nearly Midnight when they returned home, exhausted and ready to collapse. Dylan slid the crystals, under his small mattress on the floor. And Asher dragged some under the blankets he curled up in. As he was about to fall into a peaceful rest, he remembered a time where he once slept out in the chilling forest, fearing the ghouls and Ultra-terrestrials; now he sleeps peacefully in the comfort of their lighthouse.
‘’Goodnight, be sure to remember your dreams when you wake up.’’ … ‘’Goodnight Asher.’’ Dylan blocked his vision with his arms, not wanted to see the shining lights on the water.

The second Asher closed his eyes, he dreamt of ramage and riot; Ultra-terrestrails invading Desmount, but luckily by the rule of King’s there could never be another alien invasion; even Beltros himself despised those blue aliens.
Then everything faded to darkness, he heard three voices speak at once, Blaze, Regan, Deaser, even his aunt Roxanna. They all told him the same thing, to beware of someone you think you know. Then those visions and voices faded. Asher then saw Toni, she was as gorgeous as the day she met him.
‘’Asher!’’ She called. ‘’Some say beware of me, but i could not do anything wrong.’’ … ‘’Exactly.’’ … ‘’That’s right.’’ The vision of her faded, and Asher saw a much more terrible one…

He was on a field of grass standing mighty and confident. But suddenly a sword pierced though his heart, and he fell to the ground dead.

While Asher was dreaming this, Dylan had a much more confusing dream… One moment he was standing, looking down at Asher and talking to him. When he stepped back Desmount swayed under his feet, he fell into a dark abyss. Darkness swallowed him, as if he were a butterfly in the paws of a Boltcat. ‘’Help! Help!’’ He called out, pleading for someone to help him. He could barely see the light, as if he were about to reach the bottom. His own pleas for help echoed across the walls, and his body slammed against the dirt below him. Looking up there was a circle of light, and Asher was staring back at him. ‘’Help me!’’ He pleaded. Asher could not reply.
A feeling in Dylan’s stomach told him the abyss was not good; it was controlled by an evil force. New emotions overcame him, he remembered all the bad things he did in his life; all the minor ones too; everything from lying to his parents, to making a deal with someone he shouldn't have. The light shining in from where he fell, began to open up. The last thing he saw was Toni and Asher; but it was different, Toni looked at Asher with different intentions in her eyes.

Dylan and Asher now woke up…
‘’So in the dark pit you saw me and Toni?” Asher tilted his head thinking. ‘’Beware of someone you think you know.’’ Dylan repeated Asher’s prophecy.

‘’In our prophecies, we both saw Toni; it has to be something about her.’’
