After that little expenditure, I did nothing for about a week and just maintained cover because of Faba's memory gap worrying him half to death. Security had subsequently increased and Ms. Aether (Lillie) hadn't shown up again, though I do wonder what she was doing here in the first place.

At the orphanage, I was doing quite well, no problems had come up and I just kept acting like a normal kid. Although the girl in the black dress did intrigue me somewhat, I paid it no mind as she didn't do anything worth noting. 

I've been here for a month now and the info I have gathered, while vague, still revealed that they were up to something here. Something that had to be hidden if those relics were any indication, on the other hand, I had also seen on t.v about the recent pokemon leagues, wherein only one case, a new champion was crowned. The new champion of the Galar region, Hop, who was the previous regional champions brother.

This was inconsequential to me, by my standards, his brother proved far more of a threat. I was, however, bored out of my mind. With no mission to go do and no training or education on par with what was back at base, this had to be the single most boring and exciting mission at the same time.

I have decided to get more info, I'm so bored that I could kill myself now, so I will now speed up the mission considerably.

That evening I went back to Aether, and this time I had 2 goals: retrieve the entire database and get out of here.

So I did just that, quickly weaving in and out of sight as I made my way into the main building and then heading towards the lab. I had to move pretty quickly as to not raise suspicion from the cameras but I made it in one piece and what they were testing was blowing my mind.

They had people here with these amber orbs in their shoes or gloves or even in their weapons, and these orbs were allowing them to -at least in my eyes- slow down and speed up the elements or something like it. I saw what seemed to be a holographic display just appear in front of them (which had writing I didn't recognize) every time they did whatever they were doing. The one with the orbs in his boots could manipulate wind, as far as I could tell he was slowing down the wind in front of him, then speeding it back up, somehow creating a wind blade. 

The girl who had one in her katana was able to manipulate water, with her blade literally being made of hardened water. She could manipulate this water and when the floor was wet it looked as if she was doing the same thing as the guy with the wind, except on a larger scale for she had hundreds of tiny water daggers that could stab into a slab of steel and leave a considerable mark.

Then there was the one with the gauntlets/gloves, he could create fire somehow and launch it at incredible speed or slow it down into a ticking bomb, the flames were hot enough to melt the steel wall in a matter of 30 seconds of continuous flame. 

This was pretty intriguing as I nor Riolu sensed any aura coming from them but rather it was all coming from those orange orbs. After that little demonstration, I went straight to the main computer room. I had acquired a device that allowed me to get into the computer and download the entire database.

Since it was so dark I easily slipped into the chair without the guards noticing because of my short stature, I plugged in the device and it immediately started copying the database. I was on high alert since there were guards with rifles, and quite a few, numbering about 15. However, it looks like luck was not on my side as Lusamine Aether walked in while I was downloading and I was forced to abandon and retreat back to the vents. 

I watched as Lusamine looked around like she had seen a ghost before going to work on the computer. After watching her for 5 minutes I went back to the labs however as soon as I got to the went opening I was greeted by a blast of fire.

I was sent spiraling backward and I quickly recovered and sprinted backward, the vents immediately shut down and gas-filled them. I was without my pokemon since I had to let them rest, and so I was promptly knocked out.

I awoke with a dizzying headache and couldn't get ahold of myself until minutes later, I was in an immaculately white room and chained down to a bed.

I didn't know how long I was out for but judging from my hunger and thirst I would say at least 2 days. Then a scientist walked in, I couldn't make out any details because of my blurry vision, and my words came out slurred and undecipherable even to me.

He came over and replaced my empty I.V bag with another, however, this liquid woke me up instantly. My headache weakened and my vision was no longer blurry, I took the glass of water he handed me and drank it to relieve my throat. He then went out of the room and 6 others walked in, the labels on their uniforms read: A.R.C. I didn't recognize what the initials stood for but my mind was still hazy.

They unchained me and my first thought was to use my aura to break out of here but I didn't because I didn't know where I was and had no info on anything else. They carried me down a series of hallways and into another room clearly meant for interrogation.

They chained my feet to the floor and hands to the desk and then left, I waited for about 5 minutes before another person came in the room. 

It was a guy, about 6ft, decently muscular, black hair, blue eyes, and a clean shave. He sat down opposite me and opened a file, which I knew had nothing in it because they didn't have any info on me.

Then he finally spoke.

"So, how is it that we can't find any information on you? We even ran your D.N.A and it seems you don't even exist. So who are you? A corporate spy? Terrorist?" He spoke in a demanding voice. I stayed silent, only looking him the eye with a look that said: 'I'm not telling'

"I see how this is, your apart of some mercenary group or something like that, a bunch of thieves and liars trying to get our info and sell it on the black market. You must be one of those child soldiers that I've heard about." He ranted and I just listened on looked at him.

"If you don't want to talk that's fine, but just know that you aren't getting out of here alive!" He roared at me before attempting to stab my hand. Normally the hit would've landed but I was an aura user and my aura blocked the hit.

He seemed very surprised and then stood up and drew his gun and put it in my face, I hardened my features and gave him a bored look. He instantly pulled the trigger and killed himself because of my aura's reflection.

6 guards came in and started beating me, my aura kept taking damage but it could only take so much. Not to mention that I was also using it to scan my surroundings, the nearest way out of pretty far and even then the chances of escape were slim due to my means of escape and their means of catching me. 

So I weighed my options and decided to make a run for it, however, it looks like luck really isn't on my side today...
