Chapter 5

He had a lot of fun during the week with Eevee, and although he had to adjust his schedule, he didn't mind as he got to learn more about pokemon. For the next couple of weeks, there was nothing to do, no missions, no special training, nothing. He usually wouldn't have been bothered by this since that was his first 4 years of life, but now that he had gotten a taste, he was addicted. At least that's how he could describe it based on some research and what he was feeling.

However, he had Eevee to keep him company & they both now received training with Eevee being a pretty decent fighter. With it learning Sappy Seed and Sizzly Slide fairly quickly and now working on Freezy Frost then Sparkly Swirl. Meanwhile, he was ever-improving in Assassinations and Multigroup takedowns. Lastly, his Aura training had come to a slight halt, he just didn't know how to improve, or if he was at all, he could be doing it wrong and ruining his power.

"Mother, Is there anything you could provide to help with my Aura training? I know you are aware that I have been steadily improving in everything but that." He stated bluntly while also showing respect.

"I know Son and that is why I've prepared this pokemon for you, it just hatched out of its egg about 2 weeks ago and we have been taking care of it. Seeing how you've handled Eevee at the same age so well, we have decided to give Riolu to you." She replied and took out different Pokeball, it was cream-colored on the bottom and a darker sky blue on the top. He took it with great thanks and went back to his quarters where Angel sat on the bed waiting for her Grooming and playtime.

"Angel, I have a new pokemon and it is a Riolu, It is the same age as you when I first met you so I may spend a little more time with it." He explained as he walked inside, and Angel was a little Jealous but knew it's trainer well enough to see that she wasn't being abandoned. After a short introduction to Riolu and a very interesting ability that Riolu gave Him, both pokemon enjoyed a nice grooming session. After that, Riolu asked for a name and He thought for about a minute before deciding on Ōkami, then Angel and Ōkami went to play while he tested out this Aura Link.

Apparently it was basically a telepathic link that also could be used to sense the other things in the Link and where they were, while also providing an HP bar-like feeling, he could quite describe it. He couldn't physically see an HP bar but every time Angel or Ōkami got hurt he could feel how close they were to fainting. It was was truly strange, he got the telepathy to work but only to a range of 30 meters.

He continued his schedule for about another month before being called into his mother's office to discuss some important business.

"You called for me mother?"

"Why yes indeed, I've got your last mission for the year" (It is December 28)

"You are to go and infiltrate The Aether foundation and maintain cover for a month or two, reporting as you go along about their findings."

"I assume that my ultimate goal is to see whether they will be a threat to the plan?"

"Correct, starting with this mission we will be performing reconnaissance on everyone who could be a possible threat or become one in the next 7-9 years. We must prepare for the arrival of the Gods, I have just received information that all the Legendaries have gone off the radar. This marks the rebirth, just as the prophecy says"

"This is the most excellent news mother, I will go prepare right away." He left hastily to prepare.

"Angel, Ōkami, Hime, we have been given an assignment from mother. For the next 1-2 months, we are to infiltrate The Aether Foundation. We will go in a week so let us start practicing." He announced as he stepped in his room and all 3 pokemon stood to attention before following him out to the special training room.

This room was relatively small, being 15ft(4.572 meters) by 20ft(6.096 meters). It also only contained 7 pods, this was new training technology they had developed. It didn't require physical movement but it did put a strain on your body after use. It was a simulation but a full sensory one, so one could think they were actually there. Pain, Hunger, Thirst, Stamina, those were all somehow projected into your head to electrical impulses. Making your body think that all of it is actually happening when it really isn't.

Muscle memory was the main focus of this training if he repeated actions or moves in simulation enough times he could recall it perfectly in the real world and use it almost without flaw. This was especially helpful with aura, where he could practice for hours in a simulation but in real life, only 1 hour had passed. This improved his skill leaps and bound, especially his aura since he could now practice not only more but efficiently as well. The simulation helped him get an interactable 3D view of whatever he was creating, as well as train his Aura Sense which in turn helped him avoid not only sneak attacks but become better at absorbing damage from unexpected attacks.

What felt like 1 day in simulation practice was only 12 hours in real-world time, they hoped to get it lower but this was already stretching the limits of the human mind. So every day from 6 AM to PM he would train in a bunch of different things, his instructors were now not needed most of the time and had more free time to do whatever they wanted or train others. So it really was a big win, and so in 7 days' time he was able to completely learn the inside and out of The Aether Foundation along with everything else about its facilities and systems.

Totally forgot about this until now XD. I hope you enjoyed! I had a burst of inspiration halfway through and now this is happening, also props to those who get the not subtle reference to an anime. Tell me what should happen during his stay and what are your guesses on which pokemon Hime is!
