Secret Heart Pt 2

🎄🎅Merry Christmas everyone❄☃

By the next evening the discharge papers were signed and he was freed from the hospital but was asked to visit the hospital after four days to get rid of the bandages. Within a week his bandages were removed and he was perfectly fine to get back to his normal life.

It had been a week since the time he last saw sivaangi. He had missed her like anything. He tried to stay calm and ignore the pain but the more he tried, the harder it became.

All these days he never missed his work place but he missed the owner of the sweet voice and her cute antics who turned out to be a very special person in his life.

Months passed quickly and ashwin sat down at his office and started to type religiously on his system as he sipped his hot chocolate in between and recollecting the incidents one by one as he penned down feeling overwhelmed. The clock strike 10 pm alerting him to get back to home. He shut down the system and took his bag to exit the building.

Ashwin was happy that his fifth book was getting published in a week so he was busy with the arrangements but his mind was consumed with sivaangi's thoughts. Thinking about her always brought a smile. Was it her eyes or her talks? He really didn't have no clue except the fact that she was special for him.

You can't always blame gravity for falling right? It was all magic because with her everything felt different like magic.

"Aarghhh" sivaangi hissed in anger as she missed the bus and she was getting late to get back to her home after her duty hours.

The cloud bursts and the rain started to drizzle over her lemon yellow salwar. She stomped her way back to the bus stop scolding her for getting late.

"Doctor inge enna pannitirukken?" sivaangi heard a familiar voice and turned to her right side to see him coming out of his car with an umbrella.

She was frozen for a second as she saw him "Ashwin"

She simply couldn't respond to his sudden presence.

"Oh so you remember me" he asked walking more closely to her.

"Neenga inga enna pannitirukken?" she said as she still looked astonished.

"I was just going back home when I saw someone familiar struggling to get a bus. Seri poyi help pannalam nu nenachen. After all you have been a great help" he said holding the umbrella covering both of them from the rain.

She smiled and looked up "So you are here to return my help?"

"That's one reason another reason is that" he paused and looked straight into her eyes "Ippadi Doctorey thaniya vittittu poga manasu varala"

It melted her heart. She stood there rooted listening to his sincere words.

She fought with her internal thoughts. But then her rowdy instinct bloomed and she quickly covered her blush with a smirk.

"Brother next bus ippo varum. So don't worry" she uttered, smirking.

"Brother ah? Yaaru brother?"

"Neenga dhan" she pointed him.

She couldn't mask her chuckle and his eyes didn't miss that.

"Seri sis come I'll drop you," he grinned while she fixed her glare on him.

Wiggling her eyebrows she asked in fury "Hello! yaaru sis?"

"See you don't like if someone calls you sis. Same goes for me also" he said twisting his eyebrows.

"Seri ok I won't call you brother" frustrated, she replied.

"Friends?" he asked

She thought for a second and nodded her head "Friends"

"Ok then come I'll drop you" he offered

"Illa vendam"

Shifting her glance, she looked for the next bus. The rain has started pouring heavily, blurring her vision.

He sighed "See the rain is getting heavy and it's difficult to get a bus at this time. Please as a friend I insist"

Hesitantly without any other option she agreed. The car was moving smoothly. There were very few vehicles on the road. Water was running on roads, traffic hindered the speed of the vehicles.

The ride was in silence when sivaangi asked "So you help every girl like this, huh?"

How can he tell her that he purposefully stalked her and would pass by the hospital where she works just to catch a glimpse of her standing in the bus stop. It gave him immense pleasure to just watch her from a distance and owing to his job it was easy for him to get information about her workplace.

He seemed blank for a moment, there was a crimson blush creeping up his cheeks, with a stupid smile "No its just coincidence that I saw you. Athan help pannen"

She giggled "Really? So writer sir indha vazhiya venumney pogala appadi dhane?"

Ashwin gasped in surprise "Huh unakku eppadi...I mean...how?"

Sivaangi with a smile continued "I'm a big fan of your romance fictions. Annekku hospital la paakum bodhe purinjidichu neenga writer Ashwin kumar dhan nu"

He asked innocently "Approm yen ithu en kitte munnadi solla la?"

"I wanted to see whether we were meant to see each other again. In simple words, I left it in the hands of destiny"

Isn't it true that when the universe conspires, everything goes according to what you have in your mind?

Sivaangi fell in love with his words the day she read his first published book. It was like a slow and delicate process from just a fan to see him as her crush from the night she met him in person at the hospital to a ride with him in his car.

Without even her consent she had fallen for him slowly and deeply. She saw him waiting for her to leave by the bus every day made her realize that the feeling was mutual. Even after months after their meet she couldn't move on from his voice, his brownish eyes and the way he looked at her everything still had an effect on her.

She took out her favourite book of his from her bag but accidently her wallet fell down and a passport size photo fall down.

Ashwin halted his car in the corner of a street and looked into her eyes analyzing what he just saw.

"Yaaru indha kutti payyan?"

"He was my childhood crush. I used to see him play in the park but never even had a word with him. Infact enakku avanga peru koode theriyathu. The last time I saw him was when I was 5 years old when he lost this pic in the park. En nu therila ana intha pic thooki poda manasu varala" she answered sincerely with a smile caressing the pic reminiscing her childhood days.

Ashwin gave a pleased smile and said "I had lost this picture when I was nine years old."

She gasped loudly "Enna viladriya?"

Ashwin grinned as he took his phone and searched for his childhood picture and showed it to her "Proof"

The moment she placed her eyes on the picture she didn't need any further proof or explanation. The picture cleared all her doubts.

With glistened eyes without even wasting a second she confessed "Enakku indha payyan pudichirukku" she pointed him and then her "Ungallku indha ponnu pudichirukka?"

His eyes become moist. Nothing could compensate the happiness he was feeling at that moment. The most romantic author was spell bound by her simple proposal. Her proposal had its own magic.

She looked at his smiling face and uttered "Pudikum sollunga"

Stars on the sky, trees drifting on wind and in a stroke of midwinter she proposed him in the simplest way.

He came closer and her breath hitched feeling kulu kulu in her tummy and he whispered "Pudikkum"

Like sealing the relationship he said in his base voice sending chills down her body "Unna mattum dhan pudikkum"

And a year down the lane, he published his own love story which turned out to be his bestselling novel with sivaangi being his forever!

True love is eternal, mysterious and unplanned. Sometimes, a mere small word or memory is enough to feel the depth of love.
