Had a busy week. I still have 4 assignments due. So, sorry for taking time to update. Getting into the skin of the story again. The story is moving forward, I believe. Hope you like it.

Chapter Twenty Six

Baba Baskar frowned when Ashwin who opened the door didn't greet him. Rather Ashwin looked at his hands and behind him.

"Dei AK, pinadi yenna da thedura?" Baba Baskar asked.

'Kai la yum onnum ila, pinadi um onnum ila. Habba!' Ashwin sighed mentally.

"Athu onnum ila, Master. Thaniya vandhingala ila kuda yarum vandhanga la nu pathen. Ulla vanga" Ashwin moved aside.

Baba Baskar walked in and settled on the couch. Ashwin came with a glass of water, gave it to Baba Baskar and sat next to him.

"Romba late night la vandhu disturb paniten oh?" Baba Baskar asked placing the glass on the coffee table.

"Athellam oru prachana ila, Master. Yenna achu?" Ashwin asked as he faced Baba Baskar.

"Athu unaku theriyum la andha Ramakrishna ooda paiyan vandhadhula irundhu andha aal ah veliya eduka pathutu irundhan nu" Baba Baskar said.

"Ama, Master. Namma dhan Darshan ta soli kuduka vendiya aaluku kuduthu merati elaru vaaya adaika vachutomey. Enn? Vera yedhuvum try panrana?"

Baba Baskar looked at Ashwin for a brief moment before he sighed.

"Anthony Das call panirundhan. Avan kita help keka soli avan friend mulama andha Santosh approach pannan ahm. Anthony ta pesi samalichu vachuruken aana Anthony unna nerla pakanum nu solran. Enaku unna idhula involve pana istam ila aana Anthony oruka achum unna pakanum nu solran. Yosi-"

"Ithula yosika yenna Master iruku? Avara pakanum dhana, naan paka ready dhan" Ashwin said.

"Dei AK, unaku theriyum Anthony thozhil nammala mathiri kedayathu. Illegal business neraya ooduthu. Athan unna avan paaka vendam nu nenakuren"

"Indha vishayathula Anthony anna support namaku thevai Master. Andha Santosh adangi poravan mathiri lam therla. Avara yeppo pakanum solunga, naan paaka ready dhan" Ashwin said determined.

"Avan inaiku night 3 mani ku pakanum nu sonan. Athunala dhan naan ivlo late night la unna nerla paathu pesalam nu vandhen"

Ashwin thought for a moment before making up his mind.

"Sivaangi iruka, Master. Neenga anga kelambura apo solunga. Apo pasanga yarachum inga iruka solitu naan varen. Sivaangi ku endha vishayamum theriya kudathu"

"Seri da, AK. Enaku unna anga kuptu porathu seriya padala irundhalum polam nu solra. Povom. Parthiv, Sandy, Raju, Mano, Khalees aprm anga godown la iruka pasangalayum vara soliruken. Poetu varuvom" Baba Baskar said patting Ashwin's arm.

"Seri, Master"

"Aprm inoru vishayam sollanum nu nenachen. Sivaangi yenga? Thoongitala?" Baba Basker enquired looking around.

"Ila, Master. Idho kupduren" Ashwin said and faced towards his room's direction and yelled, "Sivaangi. Master vandhrukaru, Sivaangi, Sivaangi!"

Within few seconds Sivaangi came out dressed in casual knee length top and matching leggings. She smiled widely at Baba Baskar who mirrored her smile.

"Master!!" Sivaangi rushed to Baba Baskar.

"Aii, nee yenna Master nu kupdura?" Baba gave a pointed glare to Sivaangi making her chuckle.

"Seri, Appaa, vaanga vaanga" Sivaangi side-hugged Baba Baskar and sat in the middle of both men, "Yenna neenga oru vaarama ena pakavey varala?"

"Koncham velai da ma, athan vara mudiyala aana daily call panren dhana" Baba Baskar said.

The duo engaged in conversation leaving out Ashwin who listened patiently with a smile on his lips, admiring the bond between the two.

"Ama, idha solanum nu nenachen. Sivaangi" Baba Baskar looked at Ashwin, "AK, onga rendu per ta um Shakeela akka solla sonnadha soliduren. Thaali pirichu korkanum nu edho seiyanumam. Nalla naal paathu solren nu solirukanga, anaiku vachukalam nu"

The duo agreed and Baba Baskar chatted for few more minutes and then left. Sivaangi noticed that Ashwin looked disturbed. They walked into their room and he sat at the foot of the bed.

Sivaangi took a fresh pair of night clothes and went inside the washroom to get changed. When she was back, she saw Ashwin still lost in his thoughts. So, she slowly climbed on the bed and knelt down behind him.

Wounding her arms around Ashwin's neck, Sivaangi pressed herself against him and placed her chin on his shoulder.

"Yenna yosikuringa Ashwineyy?" Sivaangi asked angling her face facing Ashwin.

"Hmmm" Ashwin sounded distracted as he placed his right hand on top of Sivaangi's arm.

"Ashwinn" Sivaangi kissed his bearded cheek making Ashwin break out of his thoughts.

"Yenna di?" Ashwin held Sivaangi's arm and guided her to his front before pulling her on his lap, "Yenna solitu irundha?"

"Yean oru mathiri disturbed ah irukinga? Master yedhuvum sonara? Enoda chithapa yethuvum?" Sivaangi asked wounding her arms around Ashwin's neck while his arms were wounded around her waist.

"Sivaangi" Ashwin raised his hand and caressed Sivaangi's cheek, "Athellam onum ila. Velai la prachana. Athan yosichutu irundhen"

"Yean? Yenna achu?"

"Nee enoda indha velai ula varadha, Sivaangi. Naan irukathu risky aana field. Its not legal and its dirty. Mothavanga ku prachana tharadha thozlil dhan aana naan panrathu thappu dhan. Idhu ellam enoda pogatum. Unna idhula involve panrathu enaku suthama virupam ila. Purinjudha?" Ashwin said and when Sivaangi nodded her head, he pats her cheek softly.

"Aana neenga ipdi moonji vachurundha nalla ila, Ashwineyy" Sivaangi said pinching Ashwin's cheek, "Yedha yosikurathu naalum aprm ah yosikalam aana night nimmadhi ah thoonganum. Apo dhan endha prachana naalum solve panrathuku mind nalla work aagum"

"Seringa, madam. Vera yenna lam pananum?" Ashwin chuckled as Sivaangi glared at him, "Seri, seri. Moonjiya apdi vaikadha di. Kevalama iruku"

"Huh, enn moonji ku yenna, enoda purushan ena nalla pathukuraru, apdiyeh glow aguren" Sivaangi said shrugging while Ashwin smiled.

"Oho" Ashwin cupped Sivaangi's chin and brought her face closer; his eyes holding different emotions.

"Ama, Ashwineyy" Sivaangi smiled widely and placed her hand on Ashwin's cheek.

Ashwin pulled Sivaangi's face closer and leaned in. She closed her eyes and expected him to kiss her lips but he kissed her forehead making her open her eyes and look at him.

"Naan unna nejama nalla pathukuren ah Sivaangi?" Ashwin asked in a soft voice, his eyes holding hers.

Sivaangi saw something shift in Ashwin's eyes. He wasn't playful. Rather his eyes held different emotions. She smiled and cupped his face between her palms.

"Enaku enoda amma appa kuda iruka apo yepdi safe and secure ah feel panen oh yepdi happy ah irundhen oh, andha mathiri onga kuda iruka apo feel panren, Ashwinn. Neenga yenna apdi pathukuringa" Sivaangi said holding her eyes with his.

Sivaangi didn't miss the way Ashwin's eyes glistened. She saw him blinking back his tears. Remembering what he said about his parents she realized how much her words mean to him. She caressed and patted his cheek assuring him. He stared at her for a brief moment before wrapping his arms around her and taking her in his embrace. She hugged him back.

"Thanks" Ashwin said after a pregnant silence and Sivaangi rubbed his back.

"Seri, thoongalama?" Sivaangi asked once they pulled back from the hug.

"Andha thaali korkura function ku unaku thevai aanadhu vanga nalaiku veliya kuptu pogava?" Ashwin asked.

"Ila vendam" Sivaangi said quickly and then added, "Athu ipo namma yedhuku veliya poe vangitu? Athan Mila akka Tasha akka enaku thevai aanadhu kondu varuvangala. Apdi sonen"

"Athu ila, na-" Ashwin started but Sivaangi cut her in.

"Ada Ashwineyy, vidunga. Enaku thookam varudhu. Namma thoongalam pleassee, pleassee"

"Hmmm seri, seri, vaaya moodu di. Padukalam" Ashwin covered Sivaangi's mouth making her chuckle. He chuckled when she licked his palm before placing a kiss. He took his palm back and wiped his palm on her cheek. She giggled and air kissed him.

Ashwin chuckled and grabbed Sivaangi's cheek. He placed a quick peck on her lips before placing her on the bed. After exchanging good night, they crawled to their respective side of bed and soon slept out of tiredness.

Later Ashwin woke around 2 a.m., get dressed and left silently. He joined Baba Baskar at the said place and tag along with Baba Baskar and his men to meet Anthony Das. The meeting surprisingly went well. Anthony was convinced to help Ashwin once Ashwin put his side forward.

Baba Baskar didn't fail to notice the way Anthony seemed to be impressed with Ashwin's attitude and his words. He was sure to keep Ashwin away from Anthony at any cost if Anthony approaches Ashwin for any other conversation.

Later Baba Baskar took Ashwin to his place discussing with him on the way. It was 7 in morning. Baba Baskar asked Ashwin to fresh up as they have to meet few people in Darshan's presence.

They met Darshan at his office around 9. They were discussing about Ramakrishna and Santosh, of how power of attorney for Sivaangi property would work in her absence and about other issues.

Ashwin kept getting messages from Rakshan saying there's an error in the software on the assignment they were working. He asked them to sort out or ask any of their men who work for them to sort out.

After finishing the meet up with Darshan, Ashwin excused from Baba Baskar and rushed home. As he was out, he asked the boys to work from their apartment. So, they all were there.

Rushing inside the apartment, Ashwin saw his friends gathered on the couch with Sivaangi at center. She was seriously working on the laptop with his friends giving their input.

It was evident that Sivaangi was fixing the issue in the software. Ashwin frowned and then his face changed dark. He fisted his hand; anger was clearly visible on his face.

"Yenna nadakudhu inga?!"
