I was supposed to update early but due to personal reasons I didn't get time to sit down and write but thankfully I got the perfect motivation to write last night and here it is. Hope you guys like this one.

Trust me when I say this, Chithra96 Chithu akka is not only a true Ashaangian but also a very passionate reader. I sat and watched her narrating my TS to two more Ashaangians in person. That was the moment in life I really felt like a writer. Thank you so much for giving me that lifetime moment, akka.  Wish you a very Happy Birthday Chithu akka. Lots of love to you 💜

Ashaangi TS Po Di

Part Two

Sivaangi was born to two very popular classical singers who were known for their excellence in the music field. But her parents made sure that the light never fall on their daughter's career just because she was daughter of singers Krishnakumar and Binni Krishnakumar. They believed that their daughter will create a name for herself and never made an effort to put her on the lime light.

True to that Sivaangi became a star herself, shinning in her very own identity that she created for herself. With fame comes unwanted attention and no celebrity can escape from paparazzi now and then. With more fame comes more media attention which Sivaangi sadly hasn't completely learnt to manage.

So, during a tough situation like this the last thing Sivaangi wanted was to spotted by press. Her alarmed eyes moved frantically before turning her head to see her brothers surrounding Rajesh who was on a call. She sighed on seeing them tensed.

Sivaangi looked once again at the press woman before ducking her face. She didn't want to make it even worse for both Ashwin and her. The woman on the other side could read Sivaangi's face and understood her mindset.

Well, the woman is from media and standing opposite to her is a celebrity whose life people are very much interested in. Sivaangi is at the same police station where Ashwin Kumar is kept. There you go, a hot sensational news that can be twisted in many ways; that's a warm fudgy chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream served on a platter to boost viewership and trp.

But the press woman wasn't any other ordinary press person. Yes, she loves her job but she has more integrity than that to be nosy on someone's personal crises. Plus, the tattoo in her left arm just below her wrist reads 'Believe in kadavul setting' which pretty much sums up how much Sivaangi and Ashwin are part of her life.

So, yes, the press woman is happy. Heck, she's on cloud nine. Not because she's at the verge of getting a huge piece of news but because she just got hope served in a platter; a hope of magic on which she has always believed in.

The press woman's eyes gleamed with hope and her lips curled into a small chuckle that grew into a smile. Of course, that startled an already unsettled Sivaangi who took couple of steps back, trying to get to her brother.

"Chellamma!"

Sivaangi paused on her steps. Did the press woman just call her as 'Chellamma'? Could that mean...? Sivaangi looked up at the press woman. Even when strangers call her as Chellamma, it has made Sivaangi feel loved, valued and secured and that's what she saw in the press woman's eyes making her pause.

"Neenga bayapada vendam" Sivaangi looked at the woman who have her left hand raised and her right hand finger pointing at her tattoo, "You have nothing to worry"

Sivaangi visibly relaxed on seeing that tattoo. She isn't naïve or indifferent to know what that tattoo means or where the press woman has kept her and Ashwin in life. But what if...? As if reading her mind, the woman said,

"Na enoda case vishayama vandhen. Na ongalayo ila mannara-sorry Ashwin ah yoh pakala. You can trust me on this" Turning to the police officer, the press woman said, "Anney indha file ah onga head constable ta na submit paniten nu solidunga. Yaru nu keta Soniya nu solirunga"

Sivaangi's hand raised and wave when Soniya waved at her and walked away with a smile lingering on her lips. She took a sharp intake of breath when her eyes fall on the cell where Ashwin's kept.

Composing herself, Sivaangi held the flowing saree pallu properly before walking towards the cell. It was only when she was steps away from the cell that she realized her heart was thudding loudly. Was she ready to face Ashwin after all these days?

Sivaangi wetted her lips with her tongue, her gaze fixed on Ashwin whose back faced her. His back looked tense and his face was buried in his palms. He was constantly tapping his left foot and sighed now and then. He seemed tensed and tired. Tears pricked at the corner of her eyes which she blinked back, trying to calm herself.

Gulping down the lump in her throat Sivaangi's lips quivered a little before calling in a trembling yet soft voice,

"Ash..win"

The man who was lost in so many thoughts at once didn't hear her and so, Sivaangi raised her voice a little this time,

"Ashwin!"

Sivaangi clenched the prison bars as she saw Ashwin's head whip towards her direction in a nick of a second. To say he looked shocked would be an understatement. For a nick of a second Ashwin wasn't sure if he heard right but with parted lips and wide eyes, he stared at the bite sized woman who has always managed to baffle him.

It has been months since they both saw each other in person. To be in the same place as Sivaangi, to breathe the same air as her overwhelmed Ashwin. His eyes ran down her form to see her well dressed in a yellow saree that hugged to her frame making him forget everything for a second. Her glassy eyes pushed him back to reality and he hurriedly sprung up on his feet.

"Nee inga yenna panra?!" Ashwin snapped as he quickly moved towards Sivaangi, glaring at her, "Unaku yenna paithiyama, Sivaangi?! Koncham kuda yosika matiya?! Unna yarachum inga patha yenna aguradhu?!"

"Ashw-"

"Psch! Inga irundhu po, Sivaangi! Unna yaru inga vara sonna?!" Ashwin held the prison bar just above Sivaangi's as he arched his neck to look out, "Dei Sanjay! Sanjay! Ivala inga irundhu anuppu!"

"Ashwin, neeng-" Sivaangi tried to place her hand on top of Ashwin's but he stepped back making her frown.

"Vaaya moodu! Unna yaru inga vara sonna?! Oru news nee inga iruka nu leak aana pothum, evlo prachana agum nu theriyuma?! Enn peru kettu poe kedaku. Unaku unn per um sendhu kedanuma?! Idhu vara kettadhu pathadha?! Nee modha yethuku inga vandha?! Inga irundhu po, Sivaangi! Po!"

Sivaangi stared at Ashwin. His words showed his urgency to get her out of here. That screamed the care he has on her but he won't admit it. A scoff left her lips as she looked up at him.

"Na sandai poda varala, Ashwin!"

"Na nee inga vandhrukavey kudathu nu solren. Kelambu! Sanjay ah vara sollu" Ashwin said, his eyes frantically looking around, not meeting Sivaangi's.

"Na yedhuku ponum? Enaku prachana vandha ongaluku yenna? Ena Rajesh ann-"

"Nee inga iruka naala enaku prachana varum!" Ashwin snapped looking at Sivaangi before averting his gaze, "Namma rendu per um cine field la irukom. Thevai ilama rumours varadhu enaku pidikala. Na arrest agi iruken, cell la iruken. Idhunala unaku yenna? Namaku yenna samandham? Nee yedhuku inga varanum? Nee (a slight pause) yaaru enaku?"

"Na yaara?!" Sivaangi's eyes pooled but she blinked back her tears as she furiously stared at Ashwin who's looking down, "Ena paathu pesunga Ashwin! Na ongaluku yaara?"

Ashwin looked up when he sensed the way Sivaangi's voice quivered as she spoke to him. He tried his best to keep his poker face intact but seeing her glassy eyes made him sigh and duck his head before he looked up at her.

"Na ongaluku yaara?" Sivaangi asked again, her eyes fixed on Ashwin, "Na inga vandhadhu pidikala, adhuku nu ipdi kepingala? Na ongaluku yaara?"

"Ama" Ashwin looked at Sivaangi, "Na ongaluku yaaru, Sivaangi? (A small pause and a scoff) Neenga enaku yaaru?"

"Ashwin!" Sivaangi snapped making Ashwin look up at her. Composing herself, she said, "Indha rumours, negative image nu neenga enakaga yosichu na inga vandhadha pesa vendam! Nee...neenga inga irukinga nu sonanga! Na ongalukaga dha-"

"Naanum adhu dhan kekuren! Enakaga neenga yethuku varanum?!" Ashwin hissed making Sivaangi flinch at his tone. She constantly told herself that he's speaking all this just to get her out of here for her own good but his words did hurt her. He added in a curt tone, "Idhu enoda prachana. Enaku pathuka theriyum. Neenga inga irundhu kelambalam"

"Ashwin, na solradha kel-" Sivaangi blinked back her hurt and spoke but Ashwin cut her in middle.

"Moonu maasam kenchunen! Na solradha kelu nu, pesalam nu, meet panlam nu, sort out panikalam nu kenchunen. Nee ketiya?" Ashwin looked at Sivaangi's frowning face before looking away, "Na pesuradhuku nee chance kuduthiya? Aprm yethuku ipo enakaaga inga vandhen nu solra? Na vendam nu mudivu panitu dhana pona? Apr-"

"Na ongala vendam nu mudivu panitu ponen ah?!" Sivaangi snapped gripping the prison bars tightly, a tinge of anger in her voice, "Na vendam nu ponen ah?! Vendam nu othungi ponadhu neengala naana?!" Sivaangi raised her voice aas tears rolled down her cheeks, "Oru naal! Orey naal la yethuvum vendam, ellam mudinchathu nu velagi ponadhu neengala naana?!"

Ashwin looked away making Sivaangi even more pissed off. If only she could see how his eyes is filling up!

"Evlo aludhurupen? Evlo thadava illa enn Ashwin enta vandhruvaru nu polambi polambi ethana thadava pesa try panirupen! Aana neenga! Neenga apdiye na yaru nu theriyadha mathiri velagi poninga dhana!"

Ashwin turned his back on Sivaangi, rubbing his nape trying to keep his cool and blink back his tears.

"Moonu maasam kenchuningala?! Na evlo kastam patrupen neenga ena oru oru thadava thitna apo, na venam nu pona apo! Na kenchala?! Na aludha pidikadhu nu soluvinga! Na aludhu mayangi hospital la kedandha apo yenga irundhinga neenga?! Enayum odachutu neengalum odanchu poetu! Yaaru karanam idhuku ela?!"

Sivaangi wiped her tears and jabbed Ashwin's back making him turn. She continued,

"Ama, neenga pesa vandha apo na pesala dhan! En vaalka, enn naladhu ku enta kekama mudivu panadhu enaku pidikala! Ena kastam paduthunadhu pidikala! Enaku kovam, na pesala! Adhuku na yaaru nu kepingala neenga?"

Sivaangi fisted Ashwin's t-shirt and shook him making him look up at her. His eyes were filled and she could see him fighting back his tears.

"Nee inga irundhu po, Sivaangi"

That was all Ashwin said as he placed his hand on Sivaangi's making her remove her hold on his t-shirt. She would have made a fuss if not his finger ever so lightly traced her hand before pulling her hand away making her gulp down the lump in her throat.

"Mudiyathu!" Sivaangi deadpanned.

"Inga irundhu po, Sivaangi!" Ashwin repeated again, his voice a bit higher this time, "Station la officers lam vandhruvanga. Nee po!"

"Neenga vaaya thorandha dhan lawyers ongaluku hel-"

"Nee po, nee po nu solren la! Poga vendiyathu dhana. Yean enn uyira vangura? Po inga irundhu. Idhu unaku samandham iladhadhu!" Ashwin shouted at Sivaangi who didn't back down.

"Yedhu enaku samandham iladhadhu?" Sivaangi yelled right back holding Ashwin's eyes in hers, "Ena oruthan thappa pesitan nu avana adichutu vandhu jail la okandhrukinga, idhu enaku samandham iladha vishayama?!"

Ashwin remained mum as he looked away, cursing Rajesh in his mind. This is why he never said anything to police. He didn't want anything about Sivaangi to be known to others.

"Vaaya thorandhu pesunga! Nee yaaru enaku nu ketinga, aprm yethuku evanoh oruthan ena pathi thappa pesunan nu adichinga?!"

Ashwin remained mum, looking away.

"Inum evlo naal enaku indha thandhana, namaku indha thandhana! Avan ena pesuna mathiri na ***-"

"Hey! Vaaya moodu di!" Ashwin shouted, his furious eyes staring at Sivaangi as he banged his hands against the prison bars.

Startled, Sivaangi flinched at Ashwin's tone, tears pricking at the corner of her eyes. On seeing her tears, he turned back, rubbing his nape trying to compose himself, to keep his emotions at check. God! He hates when she cries, especially when it's because of him!

When a small sob broke out of Sivaangi's lips, Ashwin closed his glossy eyes and gulped hard before turning towards her.

"Ashwin na ven..." Sivaangi's voice was barely a whisper.

Ashwin's eyes held Sivaangi's eyes in his, his voice slightly broke but sternly he said,

"Po di!" Ashwin heavily sighed, his voice reducing to a mere whisper as his eyes followed the trail of Sivaangi's tears before he almost pleaded in a stern tone, "Po di!"

Sivaangi stared at Ashwin and blinked her tears once and twice before turning on her heel and walked away. Ashwin's shoulders slumped as he watched Sivaangi walk away wiping her tears.

All Ashwin could do is to watch Sivaangi leave, yet again and he wasn't in the position to stop her, yet again. A sob escaped him as he slumped down on the slab thinking about her. His chance of happiness at life, the woman whom he loved the most walked away from him and Ashwin Kumar Lakshmikanthan could do nothing.

~ * ~

The next day Sivaangi groaned when her mother shook her, waking her from sleep.

"Maa, thoonga vidu maa" Sivaangi half groaned and half whined, "Yedhuku kaalai la yeh elupura!"

"Mani madhiyam rendu aaguthu! Yendhri Sivaangi!"

Sivaangi frowned in her sleep before groaning and opening her eyes. With a distasteful face, she sat up on the bed grumpily for a couple of minutes before going to brush.

Ignoring her puffy eyes, Sivaangi washed her face with the cold water. Averting her gaze from her reflection, she had a quick bath, trying to push away any thoughts that might make her cry again.

"Amma, pasikudhu" Sivaangi hollered as she sat on the living room sofa.

As Sivaangi randomly changed the TV channels, Vinayak came from out and on seeing Sivaangi, he sat down next to her.

"Sivaangi"

"Solu da" Sivaangi said looking at Vinayak once before averting her eyes to the TV. She doesn't want her brother to see her puffy eyes.

"Adhu Ashwin..." Vinayak dragged and Sivaangi looked up at him, "Adhu avara arrest pannadhu..." and then he started saying what happened.

Ashwin met with director and producer for his new movie at a five-star hotel at Chennai. Once the meeting was over, the producer introduced Ashwin to his son Rahul who expressed to Ashwin of how much he admired his works.

Rahul asked if he could introduce Ashwin to his friends who were seated in the next section of the restaurant. Ashwin agreed and moved with Rahul. There were five friends of Rahul and three of them were sipping on their alcohol.

They all greeted Ashwin cheerfully and appreciated him for his Sembi role. Ashwin fell ease in their company despite the fact that they were drinking. Within few minutes they were just laughing and conversing when one guy from the next table made an abusive comment on Ashwin out of blue making everyone at the table angry and Ashwin taken aback.

Rahul stood up and told the guy to back off. The guy was actually drunk and he was there with two more guys. The drunken guy scoffed at Rahul and made an abusive comment at Ashwin linking with his first movie audio launch.

Ashwin stood up and pulled Rahul to his seat, trying to steer clear of the issue but the other guy from the next table joined in mocking Ashwin too. Rahul and his friends stood up asking the guy to shut up while that table guys stood up as well creating ruckus.

Ashwin grew tired of it. He tried his best to separate them. He wanted this ruckus to end just so he could leave from here. The amount of hurt he faced at that moment was suffocating him.

Ashwin really tried to keep his calm but when out of blue the guy from the next table took Sivaangi's name and described her in a bad and abusive Tamil word, Ashwin lost it and straight away held the guy's collar punching his face making the guy stumble back.

Within seconds Ashwin was on that guy beating him with the rest trying to pull Ashwin from that guy. The guy passed out and Rahul and his friends pulled Ashwin away from there.

Apparently, the guy's father is a rich business man. Once the guy gained his consciousness the next morning, he was enraged and made a police complaint against Ashwin and demanded that they arrest Ashwin on charges of assault and back it off with attempt to murder charges.

Ashwin was arrested that day and was at the lockup. It was Sanjay who first rushed to the station. The only thing Ashwin told Sanjay was to contact Rajesh who works for Keerthana Stalin.

After the episode with Sivaangi, Ashwin end up telling everything to Rajesh which was helpful in him getting Ashwin out. Rajesh spoke to the drunken guy's father. The rich business man had to agree to Rajesh's words because of Keerthana's husband who's a minister as well as the son of CM.

The case was dropped and a press statement was released that Ashwin did hit someone but that was for self-defence when he was attacked and he was finally out that morning.

Sivaangi listened to Vinayak patiently and nodded her head as she changed to a news channel. The clip of Ashwin walking out of the police station was telecasted on the news channel making Sivaangi gulp and stand up.

"Yenga di pora? Pasikudhu nu sonna la, sapdu" Binni said as she saw Sivaangi walking towards her room.

"Pasikala ma" Sivaangi said and closed the room door behind her.

Binni stared at closed door of Sivaangi's room before looking at TV. The clip of Ashwin getting released was playing on TV. Binni looked at her daughter's closed room door once before shifting her attention to the TV and sighed as she walked away muttering,

"Kadavul dhan set pananum!"

THE END

I know I gave no insights of what's the issue between them and what happened and everything. That's not my place. The main take away from this TS is that even if things aren't same as before, even if things have turned bitter (which I feel has changed now), just have hope and faith in universe. If they were really meant to be, they will.

Thank you for reading,

Nan ~
