Ashaangi TS En Sandakari Neethan

Part Two

"Ena akka, nee vandhu oru naal kuda agala. Athukula Maamz una bayangara missing polayeh" Vinayak said announcing his presence as he walked towards Sivaangi.

"Ada yen da nee vera. Apdilam onum ila" Sivaangi said averting her gaze as she reacted '😒' to Ashwin's story before placing her mobile down.

"Tag pani story pota reshare panrathuku Maamz ku kai valikum. Avarey #missingmyhome nu potu una tag pani public ah love panitu irukaru. Apdilam ilayam la" Vinayak said as he ruffled Sivaangi's hair making her groan.

Sivaangi glared at Vinayak who laughed at her before settling down on the chair next to her. The duo engaged in a conversation for about ten minutes before Vinayak excused himself to get ready. She took her mobile and noticed that Ashwin has seen her text but didn't bother to reply making her purse her lips together in distaste.

'Enaya seen la vidrala. Iru una gavanika vendiya vidhathula gavanikure, Ashwineyy' Sivaangi thought to herself as she put her mobile on silent and placed it down.

"Amma, evlo neram? Pasikuthu!" Sivaangi yelled.

"10 mins Sivu" Binni replied from kitchen making Sivaangi groan.

"Epdiyum upma dhana ma seiya pora. Athuku ivlo neram ah? Pasikuthu ma" Sivaangi yelled again but this time Binni didn't respond.

'Ena kandukurangala nu paru. Cha! Ethey na en veetla irundhrundha ipdi pasi ooda okanthrupen ah' Sivaangi thought to herself forgetting that Ashwin left her text on seen. She made a face when her stomach grumbled in hunger.

Sivaangi heaved a frustrated sigh and chugged down a glass of water before grabbing her mobile and climbing up to her room. If she wakes up early, she needs food in her stomach. If not, she would get cranky.

Scolding Ashwin in mind for ruining her weekend plans with him and her being hungry, Sivaangi dumped herself on her bed and entertained herself with her twitter fam. They are damn creative; funny yet mature and responsible. A part of her always wanted to create unofficial twitter account just to join her fellow HT fam in pulling Ashwin's legs and she have plans of doing it in future.

Sivaangi took her favorite pillow that had 'Ashwineyy' written in marker by her. She hugged the pillow to herself, closed her eyes and snuggled into it thinking it as Ashwin. Placing a kiss on the pillow, she opened her eyes and complained to the pillow thinking it as Ashwin.

"Oruthi ipdi kelambi vandhutaley, oru call panuvom text panuvom nu ethachum iruka unaku Ashwineyy? Ummunu mogatha vachutu okanthu PS velantu irupa! Kastam, kastam" Sivaangi said smacking the pillow in her hold but then caressed where she hit it and hugged the pillow to herself and sighed, "Enaku theriyum nee evlo hard work panra nu, Ashwineyy. This industry is filthy. Enaku theriyum surviving and marking a place for oneself in our industry is tough and you are handling it as best as you could. Enaku theriyum neenga ena kathunathu na panathukaga ila. It is your frustration acting out. You take your time in clearing your head. I love you and I know that you love me above and beyond"

Sivaangi placed a kiss on the pillow and snuggled into it as she sighed and scrolled her mobile aimlessly. Half an hour later she heard her brother calling her down for breakfast. Heaving a sigh of relief, she placed the pillow down, took her mobile and jumped out of the bed. She rushed downstairs and found her father and brother already seated.

Sivaangi walked towards the dining table and was surprised to see lot of dishes on the dining table.

'Oru upma ku ivlo build up ah?' Sivaangi wondered to herself as she stood by the dining chair lost in looking at the vessels.

"Ena akka pakura? Sapda okaru" Vinayak said gesturing Sivaangi to sit.

Sivaangi ignored her brother's words and opened a hotbox in front of her. She was surprised to find hot Aloo parathas. She knows about her mother's cooking and she know her mother can't pull this off, that too within limited time.

"Aloo paratha va?" Sivaangi said out aloud and opened the next two vessels, "Palak paneer, Gobi masala? Epdi ithellam?"

Knowing her mother's cooking skills, a surprised Sivaangi looked at her father and brother who shrugged at her with a knowing smile. Vinayak eyed towards kitchen making her scrunch her eyebrows in confusion. Scratching her head, she wordlessly headed towards the kitchen.

A gasp left Sivaangi's lips as her eyes took in the sight of her mother cooking with Ashwin who had his apron on and flipping Aloo paratha on the tawa as he laughed at something her mother said.

Ashwin had a rough night as he reflected on where things went wrong. After a hectic week with professional pressures all he wanted was to spend time with his wife but he messed up when he shouted at Sivaangi who had no fault on her side.

Ashwin knew in his heart that she was trying to cheer him up and he acted out because of his frustration. He ended up reflecting on his issues that kept his mind off for a week and decided to apologize to Sivaangi. He doesn't want to repeat this behavior ever.

When he woke up next morning, Ashwin missed Sivaangi's presence next to him. Sure, they do travel and stay out whenever they go out of town for shoot but to realize that she's in the same city as him but away from him made him kind of feel empty.

To say Ashwin missed Sivaangi would be an understatement. He missed waking up next to her sleeping form, her legs over him, her head on his chest and her hand over him clutching his t-shirt while snoring softly.

Ashwin started humming New York nagaram tune unconsciously as he traced bedspread on Sivaangi's side.

"Romba kathiten la...sorry chellamma. Miss you" Ashwin groaned before burying his face in Sivaangi's favorite pillow.

Shaking his head, Ashwin sat up, took his mobile and opened Sivaangi's inbox not knowing how to initiate apologizing to her before closing Whatsapp with a frustrated sigh. Somehow New York nagaram tune kept playing in his mind.

As Ashwin was picking some casual wears from his wardrobe, he remembered something and rushed to his bed. He took his mobile, scrolled his gallery and clicked on the New York nagaram reel that he did years ago.

Grinning to himself, Ashwin posted it in his official Instagram account with #missingmyhome, tagged Sivaangi, put on that song and some stickers. Satisfied with his work, he picked his clothes and stepped inside the bathroom.

After having a warm shower, Ashwin walked out and stared at the empty living room He chided himself in his mind for scolding Sivaangi. His mobile grabbed his attention as it buzzed with notifications from his social media handles.

Ashwin checked if Sivaangi replied his story and to his disappointment she hadn't even seen his story. Sighing, he moved towards the kitchen to whip something for himself. He slept empty stomach last night and was starving.

Just as he was about to chop onions for breakfast, Ashwin came up with a perfect plan. He immediately made a call to his mother-in-law, said that he wanted to surprise Sivaangi and that he'll prepare breakfast for them.

After explaining his plan, Ashwin hanged up the call, quickly threw himself into preparing breakfast as he had to complete cooking before the singing session ends. He decided to prepare Aloo paratha, Palak paneer and Gobi masala. All three are Sivaangi's favorite post their marriage and she only eat the Palak paneer he cooks.

Once done with Palak panner and Gobi masala, Ashwin quickly prepared the stuffing for Aloo paratha. He decided to prepare Aloo parathas at his in-law's house so that everyone can eat it hot.

Ashwin contemplated whether to knead the wheat dough or not. But recalling Binni and Sivaangi's flour kneading skills, he shook his head and kneaded the dough for Aloo paratha. He packed everything and placed the boxes in a big basket before walking out of his apartment.

On the way Ashwin saw Sivaangi's reply, smiled but didn't reply. After reaching his in-law's place, Ashwin asked Binni if Sivaangi's around. When she answered in negative, he took the basket and Binni invited him inside. He straightly went to kitchen, placed the basket and came out.

Krishnakumar and Vinayak stepped down from the stairs and greeted Ashwin. After greetings, Ashwin explained that he's here to surprise Sivaangi and that he has prepared breakfast for everyone.

Binni and Ashwin went inside, unboxed the food and transferred it to vessels. Ashwin started making Aloo paratha while Binni and Vinayak set the table. Once done Binni asked Vinayak and Krishnakumar to come and sit down for breakfast while she joined Ashwin in the kitchen and the duo entertained themselves talking about Sivaangi. That's when Sivaangi spotted them.

Sivaangi frowned as she listened to her mother and husband's conversation.

"Ithu mari neraya iruku, Ashwin. Ava ipdi dhan once cotton candy machine venum nu adam pidichu vaangi andha pink color iruku la, athu andha machine la burst agi kitchen full ah pink stain" Binni gleefully shared Sivaangi's disaster stories making Ashwin laugh and pointed out to the slab on the side that still had that pink stain.

"Aiyo. Apo andha machine ku ena achu athai?"

"Athu avlo dhan" Binni said shaking her head while Ashwin laughed.

"Appalam fry panren nu fire vandhruchu nu etho sona Athai. Apo ena paninga?" Ashwin asked as he placed Aloo paratha on the tawa.

"Ama, appalam fry panren nu sona. Na oil heat pani vachutu oru call vandhadhu nu dhan ponen. Pesitu iruka apo bayangara satham. Vandhu patha satti paththi erinchu. Nala velai driver vandhu off paniyachu"

Ashwin shook his head with a smile and said,

"Aana ipo ava cooking skills koncham develop agiruchu Athai. Vegama kathukita. Simple dishes lam nala panra. Enaku pidicha dishes lam nala panra. Dosai, thakkali chutney lam vera level." Ashwin said appreciating his wife's efforts and cooking skills not wanting to let down his wife, even if it's her mother.

"Ava samaikurathu lam kathukara aana samachu mudichathum kitchen clean panrathu varala avaluku. Onga last birthday apo kitchen ooda pic ah pathen. Oru war nadantha mathiri irunchu" Binni said.

"Last birthday ava enaku cake seiren nu kitchen eh pochu, Athai. Rendu moonu satti lam chocolate adi pidichu atha wash panavey mudiyala. Aprm maavu lam irregular ah measure panirupa pola. Kitchen slab full ah maavu dhan. Ithula madam egg ah lam floor la kotti vachurundhanga" Ashwin laughed as he flipped Aloo paratha and added, "Anaiku enaku kitchen clean pana two hours achu, Athai"

The duo laughed unaware of Sivaangi's presence who huffed at her mother and husband for sharing and laughing at her disastrous experience in kitchen. Placing her hands on her hips, she glared at them as she cleared her throat.

Ashwin and Binni was too engrossed in their conversation for them to hear Sivaangi. Grumbling, she tapped her foot impatiently on the floor waiting for them to notice her but to no avail.

"Yarachum ena kandukurangala nu paru! Ena damage panrathula ena pethavangakum katnavangakum ena sandhosam nu therla. Cha! I miss you athai. Iru iru, namma Coimbatore pora apo unaku iruku Ashwineyy. Team potu una naanum athai um kalaaikuom" Sivaangi muttered under her breath.

"Eh Ash...Amma ivaru epo inga vandharu?" Growing thin on patience Sivaangi said announcing her presence as she walked inside.

Ashwin and Binni turned to see Sivaangi walking towards them. When Ashwin tried to meet Sivaangi's eyes, she averted her gaze with a glare and fixed her eyes on her mother.

'Aiyayo already kovama irundha. Ipo ipdi moraikuraley. Naanga pesunatha ketrupalo' Ashwin wondered to himself as he gave a sheepish smile to Sivaangi who stood beside her mother.

"Inga ena panringa?" Sivaangi asked fixed her eyes on Ashwin which he wasn't expecting.

"Ma athu vandh-" Ashwin gulped and trailed his words but Binni cut him in middle.

"Eii ena di vandhadhum malpai ta ipdi kekura? Ithu Ashwin kum veedu dhan. Avar epo vena varuvaru, ena naalum panuvaru. Unaku ena di?" Binni said as she switched off the stove.

"Velai iruku nu sonaru. Athan ketaen Maa" Sivaangi said averting her gaze from her mother and stared at her husband with pointed look.

"Athu postponed agiruchu ma" Ashwin said going on with Sivaangi's excuse and added, "Unaku breakfast senju kondu vandhen"

"Ethuku? Enga veetla enaku sapadu poda matangala ena?" Sivaangi asked with an eyebrow raised.

'Podama dhana polambitu irundha' Sivaangi's mind voice butted in making her shake her head.

Sivaangi was surprised and happy to see Ashwin. She knows he's here for her and she had to control her urge from running into his arms right away. It hasn't even been a day but she missed him a lot.

Although Sivaangi's glad that Ashwin has brought food for everyone and saved them from her mother's food, she just wanted to tease him by pretending that she's angry. No one expect him gets scared when she rolls her eyes or scowls and she enjoys that even though a part of her knows he's doing it just for her.

"Athu ila ma, unaku, athai, mama aprm Vinayak ku senju kondu vandhen" Ashwin said with a cautious smile before removing his apron, placed the last piece of Aloo paratha and handed the hotbox to Binni and said, "All ready, athai"

'Nalla vela kondu vandha Ashwineyy. Ilana upma dhan saptrukanum' Sivaangi thought heaving a sigh of relief.

"Seri, na idha table ku eduthutu poren. Hand wash panitu rendu perum vanga" Binni said and walked out of the kitchen.

Ashwin watched as Sivaangi moved towards the washbasin without sparing him a glance. Just as she was about to open the tap, Ashwin enclosed her between him and the sink as he wrapped his arms around her waist. He noticed her pause when he placed his chin on her shoulder.

Sivaangi's heart quickens on Ashwin's actions, her senses clouding with his presence and her heart wanted nothing but to turn around, bury her face into his chest and embrace him. But she wanted to put on the act of being angry. So, she pushed those thoughts to the back of her mind.

Ignoring Ashwin, Sivaangi opened the tap and washed her hand. Before she could pull back her hand from running water, Ashwin leaned down and grazed his cheek against hers, making her stiffen and eliciting a gasp from her. He then took her hand between his hands under the running water and rubbed her hand between his hands before intertwining her fingers with his.

"Chellamma" Ashwin said in a deep voice against Sivaangi's ear, his lips slightly grazing her earlobe making her heart flutter and breath uneven. Seven months of marriage and she still couldn't get used to his sudden advances.

'Aiyo weakness pathu adikurarey! Heart ipdi thudikuthey! Ashwine...no Sivu! Nee kovama iruka. Nyabagam irukatum. Come on, don't give in so soon!' Sivaangi thought to herself as she tried to calm her racing heart.

Sivaangi pulled her hands back from Ashwin's grip and he, without leaving the chance, closed the tap and immediately wrapped his hands around her waist and she instinctively placed her hands above his when she felt him inhaling her fragrance.

"Dress ah eeram akuringa! Vidunga Ashwin!" Sivaangi said trying to move out of Ashwin's grip but he tightened his grip around her.

"Ma, nee kovama iruka nu theriyum. Sorry, chellamma. Na panathu thappu dhan. Ini ipdi una katha maten. Sorry ma" Ashwin said nuzzling into Sivaangi's hair making her gulp.

Sivaangi had to do something to move away. If not, she would end up melting in Ashwin's embrace and she can't put up an act of being angry at him. Although she understood why he shouted at her, it still hurt her and by doing this she can entertain herself and he'll also understand not to repeat that behavior with her.

"Athan kovama iruken nu theriyuthu la. Aprm ena? Vidunga. Enaku pasikuthu" Sivaangi said trying to wriggle out of Ashwin's hold who shook his head and hugged her tighter.

"Please ma..." Ashwin trailed his words as he pulled Sivaangi closer against him if that's possible and added, "Nee enoda chellamma, enoda ammu, enoda rowdy. Na una venum nu kathuven ah? Sorry ma. Unoda Ashwin pavam ma. Nee ilama nethu night irundhu thavichu poeten theriyuma. Seriya thoonga kuda ila"

Sivaangi almost melted at Ashwin's words but composed herself before she could give in to his words. She needed to get away from his embrace.

"Maa!" Sivaangi suddenly yelled making Ashwin jerk and move away from her.

Sivaangi laughed mentally on seeing Ashwin's startled face. She took this chance, made a face at him and rushed out of the kitchen before he could grab her.

"En di kathuna?" Binni asked as Sivaangi pulled a chair and sat down.

"Huh atha un mapilai ta kelu" Sivaangi said making her family laugh.

Sivaangi served an aloo paratha for herself, put generous amount of Palak paneer and Gobi masala on her plate and took in the aroma of food as a grin spread over her lips.

'Love you Ashwineyy' Sivaangi thought as her mouth drooled in appreciation.

Sensing eyes on her, Sivaangi looked up and saw her father, mother and brother staring at her. She saw her mother shaking her head at her. Scrunching her eye brows in confusion, she wondered why they are staring at her.

Then it clicked Sivaangi when she saw the empty plates of her family. They were waiting for the son-in-law of the family. She rolled her eyes.

"Neengalam en inum sapdala? Avaru varuvaru. Appa neenga sapdunga pa" Sivaangi said placing two Aloo paratha on Krishnakumar's plate.

"Mapilai varatum Sivu" Krishnakumar said but Sivaangi ignored his words and placed Palak paneer on his plate.

"Athellam avaru onum nenaka mataru. Neenga sapdunga pa. Maa nee um sapdu. Dei nee um sapdu da." Sivaangi said passing the hotbox to Vinayak.

Ashwin walked out of the kitchen, smiled at everyone and sat down on the chair beside Sivaangi. He heard what Sivaangi said and looked at his father-in-law.

"Saptrukalam la mama. Naanum onga paiyan dhana. Ethuku wait lam panitu" Ashwin said as he passed gravy bowl to Binni.

"Ela sendhu sapdalam nu dhan, Ashwin. Vera onum ila. Sapdunga" Krishnakumar said smiling at Ashwin.

"Sivu Ashwin ku eduthu vai" Binni said making Sivaangi who already had her mouth stuffed with food look at her mother.

"Naane serve panikure, athai" Ashwin said before Sivaangi could open her mouth.

Sivaangi focused her attention on food. She was hungry right after she woke up and was ready to eat even her mother's upma out of hunger. But then she got a feast when Ashwin came with breakfast. So, she forgets everyone and everything and had her breakfast to her heart's content.

Krishnakumar, Binni and Vinayak appreciated Ashwin's food. He replied them with his signature shy smile and asked them to have more.

"Avaru sariyana talented fellow. Ipdi dhan epovum enaku vaga vagaya senju kuduthute iruparu" Sivaangi said smiling widely patting Ashwin's arm with her left hand while Ashwin smiled at her.

'Evlo dhan en mela kovam irundhalum ena hype pana oru chance kuda nee vidurathu ilayeh ma' Ashwin thought fixing his eyes on Sivaangi, admiring her.

"Maamz, onga food ku naan adimai. Ini adi kadi enaku samachu kudunga" Vinayak said appreciating Ashwin's cooking skills.

"Samachu kuduthuta pochu. Oru call matum panu pothum machan" Ashwin replied with a smile.

The family engaged in conversation save for Sivaangi who was gorging on her food. She had two aloo parathas by now.

"Ma, en ma ivlo kammiya paneer vachuruka? Iru na vaikure" Ashwin said placing a generous amount of paneer and an Aloo paratha on Sivaangi's plate. She looked at him with a small smile before continue eating happily.

'Habbada. Sirichuta! Saptu mudichutu room ku kutitu poi pesira vendiyathu dhan. Ena manichuta nu therincha dhan nimmathi ah irukum. Athuvum rendu per um ona time spend pani romba naal achu. Indha chance ah vitradha da Ashwineyy' Ashwin thought as he ate his breakfast silently.

"Afternoon ku Veg Biryani, cauliflower fry, chili paneer aprm Ice cream. Okay dhana Ashwin?" Binni asked Ashwin making him look at her.

Before Ashwin could reply, Sivaangi interrupted.

"Endha hotel la order poda pora Maa?" Sivaangi asked and stuffed a piece of aloo paratha inside her mouth.

"Hotel la ethuku? Naan dhan samaika poren" Binni replied casually.

'Edhey!!' Sivaangi exclaimed in her head and she was sure that's the mind voice of her whole family as they all know her mother's biryani tastes very average.

"Yaru neengala?" Vinayak asked with a sarcastic smile and added, "Morning samaika poren nu build up vitutu Mama va samaika vachurukinga. Ithula neenga lunch pana poringa la? Athuvum biryani? Naanga pavam Maa"

"Dei athellam na-"

"Hotel la order potralam ma" Krishnakumar said and Ashwin had to fight down the smile that threatened to escape his lips on seeing Binni glaring at her husband who bowed his head immediately.

'Amma ku thappama ponnum itha dhan pandra enta' Ashwin thought laughing in his mind.

Sivaangi saw Ashwin trying to fight his smile as he bowed down his head. Her wicked brain kicked in and she grinned to herself as an idea crept inside her mind. She looked up at her father and said,

"Appa hotel la lam vendam pa" Sivaangi said and then she fixed her eyes at her mother, "Maa, please nee onum samaika vendam" and before her mother could say anything, Sivaangi patted Ashwin's arm with her left hand and announced, "Full lunch um thani oru aal ah Ashwin eh paniduvaru"

'Edhey?!' Ashwin thought as he looked at his wife who looked back at him with a smug smile challenging him to deny.

'Nee ena plan potu inga vandha nu enaku theriyum, Ashwineyy. I won't give in that soon. En message ah ya seen la vidra. Enjoy cooking Ashwineyy' Sivaangi thought as she grinned to herself as she stuffed her mouth with food.
