Ashwin POV

I was angry and irritated.

I was sick of the manipulative games and pretentious attitude and just the about every single thing about one of my co stars.

Yes it was Teju Ashwini.

In the begining when we as a team started shooting for my first baby Enna Solla Pogirai, she was very decent.

Then slowly she tried to be friendly with me. First I didn't think anything since Sivaangi keeps calling her Akka.

And off camera when I was not acting...I was either with my Pugazh Machan or with Director Hari or with Vivek and Mervin.
I used to talk with Teju in the start if she came and talked to me thinking she was a genuine person but something always felt off about her.

To be Honest, Avanthika was more of a friend than Teju. I had worked with her before.
She was very professional and understanding. The entire team of ESP knew about me and Sivaangi ma so I was kind of relieved in a way and hence they also teased me a lot.

I thought back to the time when Avanthika binge watched cwc2 and her reaction.

-FLASHBACK-

We were waiting for to watch the outcome of one of the songs when Avanthika approched me and said,

"Omg Ashwin! I just finished watching your show CWC2 yesterday and what was it even?"

I was confused,
"Ohh why what happened?"

She gave me a 'Are you serious ' look and said,
"Illa...adhu comedy show...right? But andha comedy show la you and Sivaangi were doing romance! And You especially! You forgot about the camera or what?Like the looks omg! It was so raw and pure! I have never seen you do even 1% of that in acting! Yes you have improved a lot since we last worked but what i saw in show was totally different!"

Aiyayooo eva adha eppudi notice panna? Enga fans thaan orru orru scene um background la kuda engala notta vitanga ...slomo and zoom pani avanga kitta maatunen...but iva general audience ah thaane paatha?

I blushed and replied,
"Idhu Reel...idhu profession...adhu real...whatever you saw on show was real and raw...anga naanga naangala irrundhom..."

She nodded and said,
"True! Thats what made it different than other reality shows i think..."

She then started teasing me then I blushed and revealed to her,
"We are engaged..."

She looked shocked,
"What ? When ??"

I smiled and looked at the ring in my hand and said,
"Adhu vandhu...Sivaangi oda original song was there right ? Song launch ku I was not able to make it on time...i reached chennai the next day...then the following week we got engaged..just close relatives from her side and mine. Thats why her kerala fam was in chennai for a week.."

I smiled thinking how breathtaking she looked in the diwali saree which was given to her by my Amma and likewise my diwali blue shirt and Veshti was gifted by her parents.

Avanthika had her hands against her mouth and said,
"Omg!! I am sooo happy for you both! "

And I saw genuine happiness and excitement in her eyes.

"Idhu...please keep it to yourself...except you only Hari knows about our engagement and Pugazh is not counted since he was there for our engagement...we need to be stable in our careers...thats why.. infact if both of us wear our rings fans kandupidichidu vanga nu i gifted her a chain and wear my ring but i dont know how...they guessed it that i gifted her chain.."

She laughed and said,
"Don't worry I won't say a word ! And besides its your personal and private life...analum unga fans pavam.."

I laughed thinking of our fans fondly.

I thought how a week before a the Audio Launch happened, I got a call from one of my good friend Kavin.

He had casually called me to ask how was movie process coming along and we nearly talked for an hour.

It was then that he mentioned,
"Machan..andha Teju kitta konjo carefull ah irru.. vonnoda nature ku ava advantage edupa..ippo unnum theriyadhu...ana promotion appo avaloda true character theriyum...konjo carefulla irruda.."

Then Audio launch happened.

Audio launch was one of the most memorable day.
I saw my fans in real... it was too overwhelming.

All the most important people were there that day. My cwc2 fam. My Sivaangi Ma and my parents. Sanjeev and Sandy Master. And Most importantly My fans. I saw their love in real that day. I was so overwhelmed that my tongue rolled very badly during my speech.

That genuine mistake in speech led to the most toughest phase in my life.

I went completely off Social media. Sivaangi didn't let me touch my phone.

When she was not working, she spent days together with me. I was staying in the spare room in her house. Her parents didn't leave alone.

I was visited by one of cwc fam atleast twice a week. Only Shaki Ma showed her support online too.
I only used to login in sm once a week ti check on the fans. I realized they were in as much pain as me but they hid their pain and were constantly sending me love and positivity...trying to cheer me up. Their love and Sivaangi were my rock. They were the reason I slowly got back.

Hari had called me 3 weeks after the Audio launch to tell me that while i was mentally recovering Teju had done something. She had apparently started rumours and was secretly encouring people to start shipping me with her.

I was pissed and requested him to conduct a live to clarify.

She did a live and Sivaangi and I joind the live from my account.

She was saying,
"Ashwin and naan just friends ...ennaku avara Asku Maaro time lendhu theriyum.."

I glared Sivaangi,

"Ashwineyy morraikadha Ashwineyyy..."

"Avaluku enna Asku Maaro time lendhu theriyuma? Asku Maaro time la naama onna suthitu irrundhom apart from you I was spending time with Kavin and Sandy Master...ivala naan paathadhu kuda illa..."

"Aama Ashwineyyy ivanga en ippidi solluranga..?"

I balanced my phone on the table with the live still on and pulled her to sit on my lap with her back against my chest and hugged her from behind and kept my face on her shoulder.

"Ippo puridha Sivaangi Ma..? Naa yen yaariyum kanna mudi nambadha nu solluren nu..? Akka Akka nu kuptiye..avala.."

She looked at me sadly and kissed my cheek and snuggled into me and said sadly,
"Sorryy Ashwineyyy....innime naan yaarayum fulla trust panna matten..."

And I just hugged her back ...both of us soaked the warmth our embrace provided. This was our Home.

Then it was the week before Neethanadi song release.

Teju tried to leak the lift scene of the ESP to the media without any point of reference.

According to the original script the actors actually had to kiss. But I was really not comfortable with it. It felt like cheating on my Sivaangi Ma. And I can never do things which felt wrong to me. So I requested Hari to change the kiss into camera gimmicks. So that it looked like a kiss. And Hari had no problem with it.

Ofcourse Trident Arts being such a big production house stopped everything before it reached the media and Teju faced a huge backlash from the PH.

One thing was clear to the entire team of ESP this woman didn't care about anything. She just wanted to be famous and doesn't care how.

All of us were extremely pissed at her.

Then the promotions interviews started.
And both Hari and I were acting that everything was normal within the team. But like Kavin had warned, she was constanly trying to sit and be close with me.

There were times when I was extremely pissed and annoyed....especially when she was constanly trying to act like Sivaangi and trying to recreate our special moments.

I quickly change my expressions ofcourse but like always my fans figured out everything.
While I acted normal in interviews, I also gave her back where ever I could.

Then our movie released.

Unfortunately my Rowdy couldn't make it to FDFS. She was on quarantine since someone on the sets of cwc3 was tested positive.

The next day I had posted that I would come to Coimbatore to watch ESP with my fans. And somehow she made it that she also came there. I nearly cancelled my plans but Sivaangi Ma calmed me down and told an idea.

I had made sure that the car which I along with few other tech team members and her was made of the separated middle seats and not sofa type.

I sat on the right and she was picked the last.

As soon as she sat..she tried to talk to me. I had my airpods on and I simply increased the volume of my music and I looked outside the window not caring what she thought. She tried to make conversation with others and they either just gave blunt short answers or they ignored her too.

Then exactly after 20 min my Queen facetimed me.

"Helllooooo Ashwineyyyyyy!!!"

Then we spent the entire car ride from Chennai to Coimbatore talking with eachother and ignoring others in the car.

Sivaangi Ma and I only ended the call after the car reached the city limits of CBE.

I them asked the driver Arul to stop near one of the bustops.

Teju tried,
"Enna achi..?"

I ignored her and said to Arul,
"Arul...mall ku pora vazhila enna Annapoorna lendhu pick panni konga...ennaku inga konjo vela irruku..neenga lam hotel ku poi konjom rest edunga...and ivanga kitta sollu da endha post oh illa story oh edha vandhuchu...nadakuradhe verra nu!"

Arul nodded and I got down. I took the small duffle bag and pulled on a cap and face mask. As soon as the car went away..a bike came and stopped in front of me. The biker had a black helmet on.

I got on the bike and we started.

The biker asked,
"Dei edha pretchana panala car la?"

I laughed and said,
"Enga..edho pesa vandha but time ku correcta En Rowdy call pannita!"

Sanjeev burst out laughing,
"Apo full car journey...neeyum Sivaangi yum Romance pannitu irrundhinga?"

I blushed and laughed,
"Amaa..naan en pondati kuda romance panuren.."

"Dei onnu kalyanam agula Machan! Engagement thaan airuku...and deiva senji vekkam paadadha da paaka mudila!"

I hit his shoulder.
"Adhula just traditions and formalities da...manasara naaga eppoyo onna aitome.."

"Pahhh kavidha kavidha....".

"Dei Po da!"

We went to the old hangout place during our college days and hungout.

Then Sanjeev and I went to Annapoorna to have lunch.

I took a picture of Dosa and put it on insta story with Annapoorna location tag.
Sivaangi had messaged me asking for a Annapoorna Dosa pic .

Her message:
Ashwineyy naan thaan quarantine la maatitu irruken...please anga Annapoorna poi orru Dosa order pani ..adha orru pic eduthu annupen....ennala sapuda thaan mudila..atleat adha paakurene! 🥺🤧

I had agreed.

Then after our lunch. I passed Sanjeev my duffle bag and asked him to drop it in my house and to tell Amma that i will be back after the movie.

Then the car picked me up and I simply closed my eyes and blasted the music.

It seems even the fans and almost the entire crowd saw her true face because no one went near her. They did not really acknowledge her except for one or two.

I had a great time interacting with the fans and spending time with them. The fact that so many people turned up for me overwhelmed me. This was a theatre in my hometown. I nearly cried.

After that Teju simply took a flight back to chennai and I enjoyed some quality time with my parents.

Now Back to Present,

The reason why I was pissed beyond measure was Teju had crossed all limits today.

She had given a solo interview to Galatta and she created a picture that she is very close with me and how a particular fandom is targeting her since they love a particular pair or Jodi and futher went to indirectly insult my Sivaangi Ma.

She not only insulted Sivaangi but falsely accused and smeared the name of our fans!

Thats it!

I quickly drove to Sivaangi's house.

Kk pa opened the door and pulled me into a hug,
"Ashwin nee calm ah irrupa..vidu...ava enna venalum pesitu porra.."

"Illa pa idhuku ella orru mudivu katte poren..but first adhuku Sivaangi venum..."

"Mela thaan ava room la irruka pa po.."

I nodded and ran upstairs.

I knocked and opened her door.

She thought it was her brother.
"Po Vinu..enna thaania vidu..! Semma mood off la irruken..kadupu edhadha"

She was in casual printed pants and a red top with loose hair. She was in her balcony with her back facing her room door.

I breathed out. I silently went to her vanity and picked up her engagement ring and went and hugged her from behind.

As soon as she felt my touch she completely melted against me.

"Eppo vandhinga Ashwiney..."

"Ippo thaan maa..."

We missed eachother. We spend time whenever we could but it was hard. Both of us were busy with back to back projects. Somedays we just wanted to snuggle and sleep.

I pulled turned her to face me and slid her ring on her finger and she looked up at me.
"Inni nee idha kaita venam..."

"Ana Ashwin.."

I smiled and said,
"Insta paaru.."

I had posted one of our pics.

Sivaangi gasped and looked at me with shock and raw emotions in her eyes. It was a mixture of happiness, worry, relief.

I hugged her and said,
" I am done! I AM DONE with keeping us ...our relationship a secret.! Namma single nu solluradhu naalla thane aalu aalu ku advantage eduka paakuranga? This will end all those bullshit! I still want our personal life to be private Ma.. but this will be a full stop to so many..things.."

She look at me with a confused look making me smile at her cuteness.
How can one person be the literall personification of beauty and cuteness?
"Ashwineyyy ennaku orru doubtu..!"

I chuckled,
"Enna Ma?"

"Illa nee soniye..career stable ana piragu sollikulam nu..ipoo edha pretchena vandha?"

I pulled her into my arms again and said,
"Vidu paathukulam..."

"Ahaam.."

Then i remembered and whined,
"Ma...story reshare panu ma.."

She chuckled and did it.

While the two kds continued spending some time together like nothing happened.
The entire fandom settled in heaven.
The internet broke!

People randomly burst out crying looking at their phones..

Others celebrated and were speechless in happiness.

While one person was not able to face anyone after this and learnt a lesson in her life.😐
