Perviously, Ash meets and reunites with his old friends, Brock, May, and Max while traveling to the Snowbelle Gym for his eight badge for the Kalos League with Clement, Serena and Bonnie. They also meet a new trainer named Emily, with her Partner, Pikachu and turns out that she's Ash's sister. Now, Max asks Ash for a battle that they promised one other is on their way...

Whoa. Ash had improved himself since we last saw each other in the Hoenn Region, but I knew all of Ash's tricks and I'm not going to let it stand in my way. "Squrtle use water gun!" I called to my pokemon. Ash said, "Talonflame, dodge it!" The bird went past the attack and Ash said, "Talonflame use Tackle! Let's go!" The bird uses the attack and I was in utter shock, but I kept my cool. "Squritle, look out!" The water pokemon uses a water shield I never seen before. "Whoa." Ash said. Then something happened. Squirtle begins to evolving! "Whoa, Squirtle!" I said.

I have to admit, Max is a tough trainer now. It has been a long time since I left the Hoenn Region. As Talonflame was waiting for a command, Squirtle begins to evolve! Emily asks, "Whoa, Ash, what's happening to Max's Pokemon?" Brock grins and replied to my sister's answer, "Squirtle is evolving!" The Pokemon finished its evolution, and it cried, "Wargtortle!" "Whoa, it evolved." I said, grinning. This battle is just getting started. Emily said, "I'll look it up." She got her Pokedex to learn about Max's newly evolved water Pokemon. "Wargtortle. The Water Pokemon. The evolved form of Squirtle. It's 3 tail symbols a long life." Emily said, "Wow. That's my first time seeing a Pokemon evolve. It's unexpected that it happened during the battle." Brock replied, "Well, Emily, you never know what will happen to your pokemon during a battle. That's what makes it way more fun." May said, "Yeah. Believe me, I was so nervous before battling against a new trainer. But you'll get used to it." Max yelled, "Wargtortle, use Rapid Spin on TalonFlame!" The Water Pokemon came and I said, "Use Flamebird to counter attack!" The bird hit the water Pokemon and was knock out. "Wargtortle!" Max yells. Clement said, "Wargtortle is unable to battle. TalonFlame is the winner!" Max sighs, "Well, you deserve the rest, Wargtortle. You did your best." The Pokemon returns to it's Pokeball. "I had to admit, Ash, I thought that I had you there. But I'm not giving up that easy. Eevee, Com'on out!" The Pokemon came out. "Eevee!" Emily said, "Incredible!" I smiled, "Ok, Max, I'm ready. Pikachu, let's go!" Pikachu came into the battlefield. "I really hope that Max has a plan. Pikachu's tough." Serena said. May said, "C'mon, Serena, this is Ash's Pikachu. How bad this can possibly be?"
