Important Authors note, you won't hear much about Ash's journey in Hoenn. As this chatper will focus on Zaylee and her journey. I hope you all enjoy.

(Season 7: Episode 1 - Episode 8) Zaylee's POV

It's time to begin my journey. I am so excited. I can't wait. Last I heard from Ash and his friends they were on their way to Fallarbor Town. For May's next contest then to Lavaridge Town for Ash's next badge. I wished them both luck and Ash wished me luck on my journey. Also asked me to say hello to Misty from him and Brock. And of course Pikachu.

"Have you packed everything dear?" mum asks me as she enters my room.

"Yep" I say as I shoulder my duffle bag. "I'm all set, just need to get my pokedex from Professor Oak. Say goodbye to him, Tracey and Ash's pokemon. Then I will be off to Viridian city" I state.

"I'm gonna miss you so much" mum says tearing up.

"Oh mum" I say and hug her. "I promise to write and call as often as possible" I assure her.

"Just becareful out there, ok?" she asks and I nod my head. "Here, Mimie made you a lunch" she says handing it to me. I smile and put it in my bag. "Good luck and have fun" she tells me.

"I will" I say and leave. I go to Professor Oak's lab. He gives me the newest pokedex out there. Along with some pokeballs, a guide book and map. Tracey, gave me a camera so that I could take photos on my journey. I thanked them both and said goodbye to Ash's pokemon. Bayleaf was said to see me go, but understood it was time for me to begin my own journey.

As I leave Pallet town, Silver and Angel at my side. I look up and gasp as I see a ho-oh flying over head. I take a photo before is disappears into the clouds and smile. We continue on our journey only for pidgeot to appear with a pidgey. I look at them confused. I knew it was Ash's but why is there only one pidgey.

"Pidge ot to" Pidgeot says. Pidgey hoops forward.

"You want me to take Pidgey on my journey?" I ask him. He nods and I look do a the pidgey. "Hey, I know you" I say surprised. "You're the first pidgey I saw hatch at Professor Oak's lab. The very first pokemon I saw hatch" I state smiling. It coos happily and flies onto my shoulder. "You want to come with us?" I ask holding up an empty pokeball. He pecks it and goes inside. Letting it catch him. I then release him and smile at Pidgeot. "I'll take good care of him, see you when I return" I tell him. He nods and leaves.

"Meow" Angel meows from my other shoulder.

"Vul" Silver says looking at pidgey with curiousity.

"Girls, welcome our new friend Otto" I tell them. Otto squawks happily and they all say hello to each other. We then set off together into the sunset towards Viridian city. We reached it safely the next day. Along the way I caught a dratini, I called Bluey. I also caught a magikarp I called Ariel. After Viridian city was Viridian forest, where I caught an oddish and caterpie. Turns out they are super bonded and oddish became sad when caterpie went to the lab. So I went to the nearest pokemon center and switched Ariel with caterpie.

I named my new oddish Belle and caterpie Fly. Not long after I caught them, Fly evolved into a metapod. As we went through diglett cave. Where I didn't catch anything. But was able to give each of my current pokemon a chance to battle before we left. We then reached Pewter city, where I got to meet Brock's family. I have no idea it was so big. His mum insisted I stay the night before continuing on my journey. Which I did.

After leaving Pewter city I set out for Mt Moon. Where I did more training with my pokemon. While there I also tried mining and found a fire stone. I didn't use it though, I know Silver isn't ready to evole. She'd let me know when she is ready. Until then, I'll just carry it. Speaking of evolving, Otto evolved into a pidgeotto.

Once I left Mt Moon, I headed for Cerulean City and arrive there the next day. First stop was the pokemon center. Where my pokemon were tended to by Nurse Joy while I called mum updating her on my journey. I then checked in with professor Oak on Ariel, who apparently is doing well and now knows flail. She may evolve soon, so I am contemplating taking her back and sending Fly to the lab with Belle.

As Nurse Joy handed me my pokemon I hear a pair of trainers talking about a wild eevee in the area. I'd love to catch it. But first time to see Misty at the gym. "Hello, anyone home!" I call as I enter. Just then Misty appears.

"Zaylee, wow you've grown" she says hugging me.

"You got a new outfit, it looks great" I tell her.

"Thanks, let me give you a tour" sh says and does so. When we got to the pool I let Bluey out and she immediately started swimming. "You have a dratini?!" Misty exclaims shocked.

"And a magikarp, except she is at the lab" I tell her.

"So you've caught more the six pokemon already?" she asks.

"Seven, want to see?" I ask and she nods. I let them all out and she screams when she sees Fly. "Opps, sorry Misty. I forgot you aren't a fan of bug pokemon" I say sheepishly as I pick up Fly.

"No, it's fine" she says and looks at all my pokemon. "You have quiet the variety" she states.

"Yep and we've been training hard" I tell her.

"Really? How about a battle?" she suggests.

"Sure" I say. "Three on three?" I ask and she nods. We go to the battle field. Which is a pool with some floating platforms on it. "Bluey is my first choose" I tell her.

"Ok, horsea go" she says calling out her horsea. "Tackle attack" she says.

"Dodge" I say and Bluey dodges.

"Whoa, she's fast" Misty says.

"Use wrap" I say and Bluey wraps up horsea.

"Horsea, bubble" Misty says and Horsea is able to break free. "Smokescreen" she says.

"Bluey, jump out of the water" I say and she does so. "Thunderwave on the water" I say and it covers the whole water. She lands on a plarform as horsea surfaces unconscious.

"Wow, I wasn't expecting that" Misty states as she calls back horsea. "Starmie, go" she says. It was a hard battle and Misty didn't fall for the same trick twice. So her starmie won, I then sent out Belle.

"Use razor leaf" I say and she does so. But starmie evades it. I need to find a way to keep it still. Wait I know. "Use sweet scent" I say and she does so. Lowering starmie evasion. "Bullet seed" I say and it's a direct hit. Starmie gem begins to flash, showing it's low on energy. One more attack should do it. "Razor leaf, one more time" I say and that's all she wrote.

Needless to say, I was surprised when Misty sends out a gyrados. "When did you get a gyrados?" I ask her shocked.

"We only bonded recently" she admits. "Ready?" she asks and I nod.

"Seed bomb" I say and it hits. But gyrados barely felt it. Which meant it was at a higher level then Belle. I bite my lip, no way Belle could win.

"You know, you can substitute" Misty tells me. I nod my head and call Belle back. Then send out Angel. "Interesting choose" she states. "Gyrados, use headbutt" she says.

"Double team Angel" I say and it leaves gyrados confused. "Swift" I say and all the Angel's do it.

"Whoa, I didn't know fake pokemon could attack too!" she exclaims.

"It took a lot of work" I tell her. As the doubles disappear.

"Gyrados flamethrower" she says.

"Use agility to dodge, then use screech" I say.

"Dive" Misty says and Gyrados dives. I smirk.

"Angel, thunderbolt" I say and before Misty could warn gyrados. Angel shocks the whole pool with thunderbolt. But some how gyrados survives. "What?" I say shocked. I could tell he is hurt, but how did he survive?

"Hydro pump" Misty says and it's a direct hit. Angel ends up in the water.

"Angel, get out" I say and she starts to swim for the nearest platform.

"No you don't, use whirlpool" Misty says and Angel becomes trapped in it.

"Thunderbolt" I say and the whole pool is lost in the flash. "Angel!" I shout and see her unconscious. I dive into the water and grab her. Misty tosses me a life preserver and pulls us to the edge. As Angel wakes.

"You're really strong Zaylee" Misty praises.

"Thanks, but that was tough" I tell her. We tend to our pokemon and have lunch. "Guess what I heard?" I ask her.

"What?" she asks.

"There's a wild eevee around and I'm gonna try to catch it" I tell her.

"No way, I want it" she states. We decide to go look for it together. I found it first and got to battle it. I sent out Silver and thanks to her I was able to catch it. "I really wanted to catch it, but I'm glad you have it Zaylee" she tells me.

"Thanks, anyway I think I'll hang around a while to watch the Cerulean contest in a couple of weeks" I tell her. She said I was welcome to stay with her. When we returned to the gym, we learnt Misty had recieved an invitation to a togepi festival. She felt bad leaving me alone, but I assured her it was fine. I was just gonna train and relax. Besides her sisters said they'd keep me company.

While Misty was away. Angel evolved into a persian. I was over joyed. Though Angel was upset she could no longer ride on my shoulder. When she returned, she was without togepi. She told me everything about her journey. How she meet up with Ash and the others. About the mirage kingdom and how her togepi evolved. And decided to stay behind to protect the other togepi.

(Season 7: Episode  9 - Episode 16)

It was time for the Cerulean pokemon contest. Which Misty and her sisters are letting the gym host. As it has plenty of room for people to sit and watch. Most of the coordinators used water, flying and bug type pokemon. In the end a trainer called Tristan won with his dewgong and butterfree. I took mental notes about the moves he had butterfree use for the appeal round. So that I could hopefully teach Fly.

Speaking of Fly, she and Belle are at the lab with professor Oak and Tracy. I now have Ariel and my new Eevee Violet instead. Anyway after leaving Cerulean city I decide to head for Lavendar town next. Before I left, Misty gifted me a bike. So that I could travel faster. I love it. Angel loves racing me. Meanwhile Silver and Violet love taking turns in the basket. Misty also gave me a Cascade badge as a good luck charm. Also as a reminder I am stronger then I think.

I think after Lavender town I will head for the safari zone. Catch some tauros of my own and some other pokemon. But first Angel needed to learn to fight and perform with her new bigger body. Lucky she is a quick learner. I also took the time to bond with and train Ariel. She's gotten quite fast in the water. Though not as fast as Bluey.

I've also been bonding with Violet, who shows me her current moves. She knows tackle, quick attack, agility, charm, protect and rest. I decide to teach her swift with Angel's help. Meanwhile, my other pokemon took the time to relax. Along the way we encountered a few other trainers and I battled some of them.

(Season 7: Episode 17 - Episode 25)

When I spoke to mum next. She told me how May has won her first two ribbons and now has a skitty. Ash had won another badge and now has a torkoal. Ash had decided to head back to Petalburg city to challenge Norman properly.

Where am I now? I am at the safari zone. I managed to catch a male and female nidoran pair. A Chancy and psyduck. Also three tauros. I named my male nidoran King and the female Queen. Chancy is now Pinkie, psyduck is now Ducky and my three tauros. Are Blaze, Streak and Tony. All of them are at the lab.

Anyway, I decided to head home for a while. By sea. First stop was Seaform island. Then Cinnobar island. Along the way. I rotated all my pokemon. Even Silver and Angel so that I could train & bond with my new pokemon from the Safari zone.

(Season 7: Episode 26 - Episode 34)

I arrived home to see only mum. Apparently Mr Mime was shopping. She made me lunch and we caught up. She tells me how Ash had won his badge from Petalburg gym. Apparently, Max was upset when his dad lost. But he spoke to with his dad and understood that it was ok his dad lost. It was his role as a gym leader to challenge trainers. He wins some and he loses some.

Apparently they are now heading for Fortree City. "What about you? Where will you go next?" she asks me.

"I am thinking about heading to Johto for a little bit. Before going to see the Kanto Grand Festival. See if I can make some more friends there" I tell her.

"I am so proud of you" she tells me.

"Thanks mum" I say. After lunch I go to the lab and I am tackled by all my pokemon. But I didn't mind, I loved being able to see them again. I let my other pokemon out and they all went to play together. As I get to my feet and head to the lab.

"Ah Zaylee, may I examine your pokedex?" Professor Oak asks. I nod and hand it to him. "You've seen nearly a hundred pokemon and have caught nearly twenty. Well done" he says handing me back my pokedex.

"Thank you, how are things here?" I ask him.

"Things are going well here" he assures me. Then catches me up on the latest events. Apparently Cassidy and Butch tried to steal the pokemon. But they were stopped and the pokemon were released. He tells me about two new evolved forms of Eevee have been discovered in Sinnoh. A grass type called Leafeon and an ice type called Glaceon. There are two ways for them to evovle. With leafeon, you can use a leaf stone or level up your eevee by a mossy rock. With glaceon you can use an ice stone or level up by an icy rock. Both sound awesome, but I want to let Violet decide what she wants to be.

After that, I said hello to Tracey and showed him the photos I'd taken. Before going to see all of Ash's pokemon. I also said hello to some of Gary's. I stayed in Pallet town for a couple of days before setting out for New Bark town. On the way I see Ash's Pidgeot, who challenged Otto to a battle. Otto lost, but evolved into a pidgeot himself. I then continued on my journey.

When I reached New Bark town. I meet Professor Elm. He introduced me to a cyndiquil, totodile and chikorita that were ready to meet their new trainers. They were so cute. Though I can't decide which I like more, chikorita or cyndiquil. Anyway the first three pokemon I caught were a pichu, cleffa and mareep. I name pichu, Stormy. Cleffa is now Star and Mareep is Fluffy.

I spent about a week in Johto before heading for the Indigo Plateau. Where the Kanto Grand Festival was being help. Rotating my pokemon along the way and training them all. Not just training of course, we played together as well and bonded a lot.

(Season 7: Episode 35 - Episode 43)

As I waited for the grand festival. I decided to train with Angel. I had her use swift. "Now use iron tail" I tell her and she sends a star flying at the others with her iron tail. The all crush together to see of fireworks and lots of sparkles.

"You're good" a boy says and I turn to see Tristan.

"Oh I know you, you won at the Cerulean contest" I state.

"Were you there?" he asks.

"Yep, watch" I say.

"Why not compete?" he asks me confused.

"When I started my journey there was only four contests left before the festival" I tell him as I pat Angel. "But doesn't mean I haven't been training hard for next year and I plan to win too" I state.

"You're confident" he says chuckling. "Want a battle?" he asks. I agree and we go to an open battle field. "Go Butterfree" he says releasing it.

"You want to fly, then I choose you Fly" I say releasing my butterfree. Yes, my metapod had evolved. Belle also evolved into a gloom.

"So you have a butterfree to, this should be fun" he says smiling.

"You can have the first move" I tell him.

"Supersonic" he says.

"Send it back with gust" I tell Fly and she does so. "Use sunny day" I say and she does.

"String shot" he tells his butterfree.

"Gust again" I tell Fly and his butterfree becomes tangled it's own string shot. "Solarbeam" I say and that ended the match. "Opps, sorry" I say sheepishly as Fly lands on my head. "Is your butterfree ok?" I ask him.

"Yeah, he just needs to visit nurse Joy before tomorrow. I didn't know butterfree could learn sunny day or solarbeam" he states.

"I studied a lot before my journey" I tell him shruging. "I found it interesting how some pokemon could learn other moves aside from their type. So I taught my pokemon some moves people wouldn't expect them to know" I state.

"That will look great in contests, I'll have to watch out for you next year" he states.

"Good luck with the festival" I tell him and he left. I return Fly to her pokeball and decided to have lunch. Then call mum. Who told me how May now has a bulbasaur and had lost her most recent contest. She had gotten to cocky and had pushed her new pokemon to hard. But they mended things. Ash's tailow had evolved into a swellow. Ash and his friends have reached Fortree City, where Ash will be battling for his next badge.

(Season 7: Episode 44 - Episode 52)

So Tristan didn't win the grand festival. A young woman called Yuma did. When she received her Ribbon Cup, she announced she was gonna become a full time breeder and help train future coordinators. I think that's really awesome of her. Anyway after that, I went home to stay a week. Before starting on collecting my ribbons for the next Kanto grand festival.

Mum told me how Ash got another badge. How May won her next contest and her torchic had evolved into combuskien. But I couldn't let what was happening in Hoenn distract me from my training to be a coordinator myself. I've also been studying to become a breeder. According to what I've learnt, breeders are some of the best coordinators out there. So I know if I want to be a better trainer and for my pokemon to be the best they can be. I have to learn to become a breeder also. Which means more work. But I don't mind.
