Fire & Ice

Ash was facing his next opponent in the Rock Field & they were down to one Pokémon.

"Go Nidorino!" The Red Trainer said as he sent out a Nidorino

"Nido!" Nidorino said

"The Red Trainer has chosen Nidorino." The announcer said "Let's see which Pokémon the popular newcomer Ash Ketchum will send out."

"Wobbuffet, I choose you!" Ash said as he sent out Wobbuffet

"Wobbuffet." Wobbuffet said

"& the young trainer from Pallet Town, chooses a Wobbuffet, a Pokémon that is native to the Johto Region." The Announcer said

"Give it everything you got, Wobbuffet." Ash said

"Wobbu." Wobbuffet nodded

"Nidorino, use Fury Attack." The Red Trainer said. Nidorino's horn glowed white & charged at Wobbuffet

"Dodge it." Ash said. Wobbuffet dodged the attack by jumping around repeatedly

"Wobbuffet." Wobbuffet said as he jumped on a rock

"Nido!" Nidorino said as he charged at Wobbuffet once again

"Wobbu!" Wobbuffet said as he jumped on & off of Nidorino's back which caused him to end up crashing into the rock

"Are you okay, Nidorino?" The Red Trainer said

"Nido." Nidorino said as he shook it off

"Then use Take Down." The Red Trainer said. Nidorino became surrounded by a golden force field & charged at Wobbuffet

"Okay Wobbuffet, Counter now." Ash said

"Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet said as he glowed orange & repelled Nidorino's attack which sent him flying into another rock & fainted

"Nidorino is unable to battle, Wobbuffet wins." The referee declared

"Alright Wobbuffet, you were awesome." Ash said as he hugged Wobbuffet

"Wobbu." Wobbuffet smiled

"Now Ash Ketchum will be moving on to the third round of the Indigo Plateau Conference." The announcer said

Meanwhile Gary was with his cheerleaders watching Ash's match

"Just look at him, he wins two easy matches & he's acting like he won the finals." Gary sulked as he walked away "He better enjoy it while it lasts, cause his luck will surely run out."

Later after the battle

"I sure am hungry" Ash said

"We should get to the Pokémon Center to have your Pokémon treated first, Ash." Brock reminded

"Yeah, I'm aware." Ash said

"Freee Freee." A voice said

"Huh?" Ash said.

They looked up saw a normal & pink Butterfree

"Ash, it's your Butterfree & his mate." Misty said surprisingly

"Butterfree!" Ash said as he ran up & hugged Butterfree "I'm so happy to see you."

"Free Free." Butterfree said as he noticed Meowzie "Free?"

"Butterfree, this is Meowzie." Ash said "I caught her a month & a half ago."

"Meow Meow." Meowzie greeted

"Free." Butterfree greeted back

"Hey Ash, I think Butterfree must've decided to come back to rejoin your team & take his mate with him." Brock said

"Is that true?" Ash asked

"Free." Butterfree nodded

"Welcome home, Butterfree." Ash smiled as he pulled out two Poké Balls & caught the two Butterfree

After the two Butterfree got transported to the PC, the gang went to the Pokémon Center

"Hey Ash, what Pokémon are you gonna use in your next match?" Misty said

"My next match is in the Ice Field, so I think my opponent is gonna use some Ice Type Pokémon." Ash said "I guess I'm gonna use a couple of my other Water Types."

"Y'know, you've been doing a great job without our help, so far." Brock said

"Thanks Brock." Ash said

"Prime!" A voice said

The gang looked & saw a Primeape

"Primeape." Ash said surprisingly

"Primeape!" Primeape said happily as he tackled Ash to the ground "Primeape Primeape."

"I know, I missed you too, buddy." Ash said

"Hey there, Ash." Anthony approached

"Anthony, you're here too?" Ash said

"Yep, I saw your match on the telly, so I figured you might need Primeape." Anthony said

"Thanks." Ash said

"Meowth." Meowzie said went to Ash's side

"Primeape?" Primeape said as he looked at her

"Primeape, say hello to Meowzie, she's one of the newest members of our team." Ash said

"Primeape." Primeape said a he stuck out his hand

"Meow Meowth." Meowzie smiled as she shook it

The next day, Ash was on the Ice Field facing his opponent Pete Pebbleman

"Both Ash Ketchum & Pete Pebbleman have each won one battle & things are really heating up on the Ice Field." The Announcer said

"Poliwhirl, Mega Punch." Ash said. Poliwhirl's fist became surrounded in a black orb of energy & charged at Cloyster

"Cloyster, use Withdraw." Pete said as Cloyster clamped its shell & got hit

"Use Psychic." Ash said

"Poli." Poliwhirl said as his eyes glowed light blue & telekinetically lifted Cloyster into the air

"Cloy?" Cloyster said confusingly as it opened its shell

"Now, Focus Punch." Ash said. Poliwhirl fist glowed orange & punched Cloyster which caused it to faint

"Oh no." Pete said shockingly

"Cloyster is unable to battle, Poliwhirl wins." The referee declared

"Cloyster return." Pete said as he returned Cloyster

"Poliwhirl's Psychic attack had caught Cloyster off guard & finished it with a devastating Focus Punch." The announcer said "With one Pokémon left, will Pebbleman choose an Ice Type or a Water Type"

"Go Arcanine." Pete said as he sent out an Arcanine.

"Arc!" Arcanine barked

"& Pete surprisingly chooses a Fire Type." The announcer said

"An Arcanine? Why send out a Fire Type to battle a Water Type?" Ash said confusingly "Poliwhirl, use Hydro Pump

Poliwhirl fired fired a powerful blast of water from its swirl

"Arcanine, dodge." Pete said as Arcanine dodged the attack "Now, use Dragon Rage

Arcanine fired a powerful blast of blue energy & hit Poliwhirl which caused him to faint

"Poliwhirl is unable to battle, Arcanine wins." The referee declared

"Poliwhirl return." Ash said as he returned Poliwhirl & pulled out his last Pokémon "It's all up to you, go Lickitung!"

Ash sent out Lickitung

"Licki." Lickitung said

"Arcanine use Fire Blast." Pete said. Arcanine fired a 大-shaped blast of yellow-orange fire from its mouth

"Use Water Pulse." Ash said. Lickitung fired an orb of water from his hands which collided with Fire Blast

"Use Agility." Pete said as Arcanine ran around the field as fast speed

"Use Screech." Ash said

"TUUUUUUUUNG!" Lickitung screeched as white shockwaves came out of his mouth causing Arcanine to stop

"Now, use Slam." Ash said. Lickitung lifted Arcanine with his tongue & slammed it on the ground

"Use Flamethrower." Pete said as Arcanine shot fire from its mouth & hit Lickitung

"Now Flame Wheel."

Arcanine released fire from its mouth while somersaulting at the same time & rolled towards Lickitung

"Fight it with Rollout." Ash said as Lickitung rolled & clashed into Arcanine

Both Pokémon kept rolling, trying to push back one another until Lickitung's Rollout got stronger & overpowered Arcanine's Flame Wheel

"Great job, now let's keep rolling." Ash said as Lickitung repeatedly rolled into Arcanine

"Arcanine, use Fire Spin." Pete said. Arcanine released a stream a fire that turned into a fiery tornado which caught Lickitung, when the fiery tornado disappeared, it revealed a big circular pool of water

"It looks like that Fire Spin melted a part of the Ice Field, but where's Lickitung?" The announcer said "Could it be drowning in the water?"

"Lickitung!" Ash shouted worriedly

Suddenly a bluish white light shined out from the water. When the light faded, a big dark pink ball came out of the water, landed on the ground, & unrolled revealing a bigger form of Lickitung

"Licky!" The Pokémon shouted

"What the heck!? Lickitung e-evolved!?" The announcer said

"Whoa." Ash said shockingly as he pulled out his Pokédex

Lickilicky, the Licking Pokémon, & the evolved form of Lickitung. Its saliva can decompose anything. It wraps its long tongue around things to coat them with its sticky saliva

Ability: Oblivious

Hidden Ability: Cloud Nine

Learned Moves: Power Whip, Gyro Ball, Giga Impact & Hyper Beam

"I thought Lickitung didn't have an evolved form." Misty said shockingly

"Well, Pokémon like Scyther & Lickitung do have evolved forms that are from other regions." Brock said "Perhaps there are other Pokémon that we thought aren't capable of evolution actually have methods to make them evolve."

"Alright, Lickilicky, use Hyper Beam." Ash said. Lickilicky fired an orange beam of energy which blasted Arcanine into a large chunk of ice & caused to faint

"Arcanine is unable to battle, Lickilicky wins." The referee declared "So the victory goes to Ash Ketchum."

"We did it, Lickilicky!" Ash said as he hugged Lickilicky

"Licky." Lickilicky said as he licked Ash's face

"Hey, come on, you know this doesn't wash off." Ash said as he tried to wipe the saliva off his face

"Pikachu." Pikachu said as it hopped on Lickilicky's shoulder

"Meowth." Meowzie said as she hopped on Lickilicky's other shoulder

"Licky." Lickilicky smiled with a thumbs up

"Congratulations on your third win, Ash." Misty said

"Yeah, now you only have one more match to win before competing in the Indigo Stadium." Brock said

"Right." Ash said
