Dear Misty, 

I told you I don't like writing much- that's why the letter was crappy. You never listen, do you? 

...And yeah, it really is weird that you're not here and Brock is. I always feel like maybe I'll get used to it, but after spending about three years with you, well, I just always catch myself about to tease you about something just to remember you're not actually here. It sucks, too, considering my jokes are as great as my Pokemon training. 

Brock's still flirting with every girl he meets, you were right. I still wouldn't want him any other way. Max takes care of it, but... it's not the same as when you kept him in line. 

And I guess I'm still getting used to writing letters- my hand's cramping right now. Plus I'm just used to talking to you in person and this seems so different. I guess it does have its perks... you can't punch me all the way from Cerulean if I say something you don't like.  

My life IS exciting- I just got my third badge. I wish the mail traveled faster.... And I didn't know being a Gym Leader was so boring- it seems like an awesome job! I'll come and take your place if you want.  

And you want to hear all about my Pokemon, huh? Well, there's Pikachu, of course. I caught a Taillow, Treeko, and Corpfish so far here in Hoenn. They're all really great and make an awesome team. 

May is from Hoenn and she just became a Trainer. She's going to focus on Pokemon Contests (I don't really feel like explaining those to you, Misty- look it up) and she has a Torchic and Beautifly. Her little brother Max travels around with us. I'm kind of jealous of him since he's allowed to go on a Pokemon journey before he's 10. He doesn't have any Pokemon, but still, when I was his age I would've killed to do that. 

I relayed your messages to Pikachu and Brock. And who says I miss you?

PS- Misty. This is Brock. I hope you're doing ok. Ash refused to wake up and take this to the post office, so here I am, sending it for him. What would he do without me? Anyway, I read his letter. Just because I flirt with every girl I meet doesn't mean anything! Each new girl could be the one, right!? 

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that he does miss you. We talk about you a lot. Max and May are great, but there's really no denying that there's a huge empty space in our party now that you're not here. Ash will get lost in thought a good bit and I know he's always thinking of you.
