Dammit I'm running out of ideas for chapter titles!! Sorry for the random name XDD

Gaara remained stoic as he listened to both Sasuke's brief and watered-down explanation, and Kakashi's incomprehensible babbling. Both were completely useless, which in turn made Gaara look to Sakura, who turned to Naruto.

Realizing all eyes were on him, the blonde sighed, and began. "We tried to go over the bridge to get inside Kumo, but then Sakura forgot her metal so we had to use all our weapons instead and then she got left behind and then got attacked and then I tried to go back to help her but I ended up falling off a cliff 'ttebayo."

Gaara blinked, looking to Sakura for confirmation, "Is this true?" Sakura nodded, making Gaara sigh in exasperation and wonder whether it would kill this team to stay out of trouble for at least 1 hour.

"Do we really have to stay here dattebayo?" Naruto asked, glaring at a Kumo shinobi who was leading them to their hotel rooms, the same one who broke his shadow clone bridge.

"Yes, and be thankful you don't have to stay at the Raikage's house like Gaara," Kakashi pointed out,

"Oh yeah! Why does he have to do that anyway?" Sakura was the one who replied,

"He and A-sama have to discuss some things, so it'll be easier if he stays there overnight,"

"Ohh okay 'ttebayo. And one more thing,"

"Hm?"

"Are we all sharing this room? There's one bed." Naruto watched as smirks made their way on both Sakura's and Kakashi's faces.

"Not all of us, just you two," Kakashi said before shoving both Sasuke and Naruto into the small hotel room and closing the door behind them.

Sakura and Kakashi exchanged devilish looks as Naruto began banging on the door. But the two nin's held the door shut until the blonde gave up. Then both of them got up to leave, but not before Sakura jammed the door using an Icha Icha book.

She would've felt guilty...but that was probably the best thing those books could be used for.

"Dobe, that's not gonna work." Sasuke stated bluntly as he watched Naruto try to kick the door open, "The door's been jammed by an Icha Icha book. And unless you're willing to pay for the damage, I suggest not Bijuu Bombing it." Naruto stopped trying to open the door after hearing Sasuke's words and let his hand drop to his side.

"Guess we're stuck here then, 'ttebayo," Sasuke grunted in agreement, and then the room was silent once again. Naruto walked around the room aimlessly, and Sasuke's eyes discreetly followed his figure until he stopped to gaze out the window.

"You know, you really should apologize to Sakura. She took you in as a kid despite your fucked up background," Naruto said, his eyes still trained on the sunset before him,

"We all had a fucked up childhood, Dobe." Sasuke pointed out, making an amused smile grow on Naruto's face, though he couldn't see it.

"That we did, Teme... Three fucked up kids in a fucked up world."

"I've never heard you swear so much."

"I try not to, for Sakura's sake," Naruto could practically feel Sasuke raise his eyebrow, so he continued,

"Out of all of us, she's had it the worst. We all had shitty lives, but I had Teuchi and Ayame looking out for me, and, as crazy as it sounds, you had the Uchiha Clan at your back and then were immediately taken in by Sakura after." Naruto wore a solemn smile now,

"But Sakura, she was alone for years. She probably had no other goal other than to survive for the longest time. We were good for her, that I know for sure..." Naruto trailed off as he balled his fists, "She's tired and hurting, Sasuke. We all are, but our two-year hiatus impacted her the most. She missed us...and the first real thing you said to her was insulting her abilities dattebayo! That's not how you treat Nakama, Sasuke! And knowing Sakura, she's gonna keep it bottled up and-"

"You think I don't know that!" Sasuke half-shouted, effectively shutting up Naruto. And for good reason, because this was the first time he had ever heard his teammate lose his cool.

"There's no excuse for what I did back then. But you have to understand my reasoning. Sakura's basically unstoppable with her tungsten, everybody knows that. But without it, all she has to rely on is her taijutsu. So against the Akatsuki, she may as well be dead." Naruto was about to interject something, but Sasuke held up a hand, "She's a one-trick pony, Naruto. And now she can't even perform that one trick. So in order to keep her safe, we either need to train her or find a big-ass block of tungsten so take your pick."

Naruto remained silent, making Sasuke sigh. "I just want us to make it out of this alive and well. And in order for that, we need to help her." Naruto nodded and sat down next to Sasuke on the bed and leaning into him when an arm wrapped around his torso.

The two of them sat there until the sun had sunk under the horizon, and then they decided to call it a day. They both crawled under the covers of their twin size bed, and Naruto said nothing as he was pulled into Sasuke's chest, but his face became as red as a tomato when a kiss was placed on his forehead.

Sasuke smiled softly at the blonde in his arms and whispered three words before closing his eyes. The arms circling his torso and the head nuzzled in his chest gave him all the confirmation he needed.

Oh yes, this was very nice...all very nice except for the blue-skinned shinobi peering through his window, showing off his pointed teeth in a smirk.

So-Completely-Unrelated-That-It'll-Make-You-Wonder-Why-It's-Even-Here Note:

So the other day I saw Attack on Titan in my reccommendation thingy for crunchyroll and was like "what the hell" so I decided to watch it... I finished both seasons in 2 days and I'm not proud XDD

But it's given me new inspiration!! And I'm thinking of doing an AOT fic after this one...
