CHAPTER EIGHTEEN: THE ARTIFACT
[MELODY]
Moira hesitated when it didn't seem to attack first but reacting to her pulling her weapon out.
[GEM]
It seemed to wait for her to make the first move as well. Was it mocking her?
[MELODY]
Moira carefully walked closer turning her dirk with the sharp tip backwards as she held onto the dirk's handle tightly watching it carefully.
[GEM]
The phantom mirrored her steps but in the opposite direction, tilting its head to the side as it observed her careful behavior.
The shadow figure was tall and by its movements it seemed male. But she got an overwhelming sense of danger from him as if those voices were screaming a warning at her to attack before it was too late, her eyes glancing down to see the careful movements of the fingers on the axe as if ready to strike her down with any sudden move.
Her heart was pounding as she seemingly unconsciously anticipated an attack, ready to move if the phantom did.

[MELODY]
Moira watched it planning her next move very carefully as she wondered if it would disappear like the others when you attacked. But something about this one was different. She tightened her grip on her dirk as she moved quickly forward ready to stab it.
Nov 17, 2023, 5:28 PM
[GEM]
It's reflexes were fast and her blade met his axe, the phantom pulling out another axe with its offhand, swinging it in an attempt to slice her in the throat.
Nov 18, 2023, 3:24 AM
[MELODY]
Moira was surprised by that and barely dodged it as she fell to the floor and tried to quickly get up again. Something about the way he was fighting was familiar..
Nov 18, 2023, 6:18 PM
[GEM]
The phantom tried to kick her right in the left collarbone when she did this.
Nov 19, 2023, 1:55 AM
[MELODY]
Moira fell back when it hit her. Groaning in pain as she did but getting up quickly trying not to let the pain distract her. She then came at it again making it think she attacked but slit under it and cut its knees from behind.
Nov 19, 2023, 11:32 AM
[GEM]
The ghost did an athletic maneuver out of the way to avoid being sliced, turning to face her again as it twirled its axe in hand skillfully.
[MELODY]
Moira blocked it's next attack but fell back because of it losing jet balance. She had to be quicker and think fast to beat it.
[GEM]
It tried to strike down to finish her with an axe to her face.
[MELODY]
Moira barely managed to block it again trying her best to think of a way to get it out of balance. When it was busy with the axe to her head she quickly used all of her strength at that moment to push it back before moving quickly kicking it against its legs to get it out of balance.
Nov 19, 2023, 2:32 PM
[GEM]
Her opponent was fast and swift, fighting with immense skill. He did a tumble dive to the left to dodge her kick and tried to slice her legs with one of his axes.
[MELODY]
She quickly moved to get back on her feet but she wasn't fast enough and one of her legs got hit. She let out a pained yell when that happened.
Nov 19, 2023, 2:55 PM
[GEM]
Luckily she moved fast enough to only get sliced slightly but she was able to block the next strike when he threw down his weapon upon her right shoulder, the handle of his axe meeting her dirk as the blade was an inch from her leather shoulder plate.
When it's face was this close to her, she noticed the blackened shape of his face to be oddly familiar and there was some kind of hesitation in him before he took his axe off her blade and tried to do a swift roundhouse kick to her gut.
[MELODY]
She noticed her hesitation as she quickly reacted to that and grabbed her bow from her back putting iy around it's leg quickly and twisted it and pulled trying to make it lose it's balance once again.
Nov 20, 2023, 8:00 AM
[GEM]
He grabbed her arm as she tried to do this and attempted to hit her in the face with the end of his axe.
Nov 20, 2023, 8:17 AM
[MELODY]
Moira narrowed her eyes at him quickly moved to the side making them both fall over as she used her own weight as she pulled him down.
[GEM]
When they hit the ground he rolled them over so she was on her back and he tried to bury his axe in her skull.
[MELODY]
Since her bow was still around his feet but moved up she pulled it up so it hit him between his legs before grabbing her dirk and tried hitting him against his temple.
[GEM]
He fell to the side when she hit him on the head, setting her free from his domineering position.
Nov 20, 2023, 9:29 AM
[MELODY]
Moira quickly got up as she took his axes away. When she got up and plucked one of his axes from his loosened grip, he swung at her with his other one in his offhand in an attempt to slice her throat open. She stumbled back when that happened but quickly stablished herself to be able to react to his next attack.
[GEM]
He said was kneeling but he got back up and tossed his axe to his main hand, pulling a blade from his side with his other as he charged her and swung for her chest.
[MELODY]
She dodged his attacks by backing up into a wall. She used it to her advantage by pushing herself up timing it so that she could kick him in his chest before jumping down again and slit his arms to get him to drop his weapons.
Nov 20, 2023, 11:10 AM
[GEM]
She saw black blood—like ink—splatter onto the stone floor but the shade kept fighting, ducking from her next advance and attempting to stab his dagger into the side of her thigh.
[MELODY]
Moira looked confused at the color of the blood and that it even could bleed. She quickly blocked his attack with her dirk. She then kicked his leg closest to her and tried to stab him it his side.
Nov 20, 2023, 1:17 PM
[GEM]
He blocked her jab with his dagger pointed down, attacking with precision and strength. And he tried to swing for her chest with his axe.
Nov 20, 2023, 1:44 PM
[GEM]
She ducked quickly and whirled around to try and jam her blade into his throat but he dodged back to avoid her wide swing by a hair.
[GEM]
She spun the other way to try and get him from the right and he blocked with his arm before her blade could meet his shadowy flesh. He attempted to lop off her arm with his dagger but she moved it out of the way just in time and sliced his abdomen with wicked speed, catching his flesh through some thick armor that almost looked like black leather beneath the smoke. He staggered back but was still able to lock blades with her before she could stab his eye out, his axe and dagger forming an ex to keep her from advancing, the tip of her dirk just an inch from his face.
As she glared at him, she could see his white glowing eyes were wide and it almost appeared like he was frowning, glancing her up and down once before he shoved her blade off him and hooked his leg around her to bring her around and to her back, her head almost hitting the ground.
[GEM]
That... was a familiar move for her to witness again. And it almost made her hesitate before his blade was thrown towards her chest. She swung with an incredible block that knocked the blade aside, the sound of metal on metal ringing in her ears before she threw herself to her feet the way Uriah taught her, charging for him as he seemed not to strike her right away this time. She slid on the ground and knocked him right off his feet, landing clumsily to the stone floor before she pivoted and leapt atop him, pinning his arms down with her knees as he was on his back.
This time his eyes were wider than before with complete shock. She had him here and could kill him easily, her blade against his throat. But she... didn't for some reason. The way he was looking at her was unexpected. And something about this situation shouted familiarity a bit too much.
[GEM]
Behind all of the shadow that covered the black figure's face, she could almost see his mouth move to form one word but this was inaudible, as if the figure was mute. And reading his lips was nearly impossible.
But she didn't let herself become distracted as she prepared to slice open his throat, pulling back to do this but he widened his eyes more and grabbed her arm, shoving her off him as he clambered to his feet and she did a tumble roll, getting up on one knee as he stood back from her with his axe still in hand, waiting for her to strike which she did, leaping from the ground and running straight for him.
[GEM]
But this time, as she charged, he dropped his axe and raised his hands, expecting to probably die but he was going to listen to that voice no matter what he thought the smarter thing to do was...
[MELODY]
This made Moira stop in her tracks watching him in disbelief and confusion as she tried to wrap her head around what was happening here. Was he trying to trick her? Make her stop so he could surprise her and strike her down? She decided to approach this differently as she put her dirk away and quickly grabbed her bow off the floor. She grabbed a remaining arrow from her quiver as the rest she had lost before aiming it at him. "..kick the axe away!" She said to him sharply as she aimed the arrow at him.
[GEM]
He stared blankly, as if not able to hear her.
[MELODY]
She pointed at the axe then with her arrow as made a move to the side showing she wanted him to kick it away before aiming at him again. If he would made a move other then that she would let the arrow fly.
[GEM]
He glanced down where she was pointing and seemed to make a side movement with his head as if to say "alright then" and slowly kicked his weapon from him. He then lifted a finger before he pulled out a hidden blade from his bracer, one from his boot, one from his thigh strap, and two more at his belt. He tossed them each as they clanked against the stone floor. He then kept his hands raised and tilted his head to the side as if to say "believe me now?" or something of that same nature.
[MELODY]
Moira clearly hesitated as she stepped closer not lowering her bow yet. She wanted to observe him closer. Something about that familiar feeling made her be on edge. What the hell was going on?
[GEM]
She began to think about the fight that she just had with him, the familiarity in his mannerisms and face shape, the moves he used... and how he almost looked shocked when she pinned him down the same way she did with Uriah on their first sparring match, as if he recognized--
She frowned when some of the puzzle pieces were forming together.
Uriah looked at the shadow figure in front of him, hoping she would surrender her weapon instead of firing that arrow right for him. "Moira please, it's me," he tried to say again but it was useless and he wasn't sure why he kept talking. She clearly couldn't hear him. He tried to put a hand on his chest as if to tell her this with his motions but there wasn't a clear way. He suddenly wished he knew how to sign it to her...
[MELODY]
Moira seemed to freeze again when he put his hand to his heart. She didn't know what he meant by that but it made her lower her weapon. Although the arrow was still on the bow string. She stopped right in front of him looking up at him. "..what do want to say?" She said thinking out loud tilting her head slightly to the sight as she watched him.
[GEM]
As he glanced at her up and down, even in this form he knew exactly what he wanted to do. But it probably wasn't a good idea with that bow in her hand. So instead he got an idea as he took a springy step back and walked over to where all of her arrows were tossed around on the floor. He took the first few and began to arrange them. he thought about this carefully since he thought she would suspect trickery. So instead of simply spelling his name he wrote a message.
The first word he arranged he looked up at her and took a step back for her to see before he continued.
[GEM]
It read "HELLO".
[MELODY]
Moira watched him as she noticed how careful he was. She didn't like him going for her arrows at first not knowing what to expect but she then watched him confused as she stepped closer. When she saw what he was exactly doing and she saw the hello. "Ehm..hello?" She glanced up at him as she put her arrow away and the bow back on her back. She then waved at him as an hello back.
[GEM]
He walked forward to take the arrows and write something else. She tilted her head curiously as she watched him spell out a longer word this time. And when the figure stepped back he took a bow like he was in theater, reminding Moira of the time that Uriah was telling stories to the kids. The word this time read "FIREFLY".
[MELODY]
She chuckled when he bowed like that before she looked down at the word. "..wait..firefly?" Her eyes widened when she read it. She then glanced up at him as the familiarities slowly started to make sense. "U-Uriah?" Her voice started shaking as she stepped closer to him before reaching her hand out to his face. Her hand was trembling as she did.
[GEM]
He loved hearing his name on her lips and he smiled widely when she finally said it. The shadow of a specter that he was stepped forward to meet her and when she reached for him he met her hand with his own, pressing his lips to her palm as the feeling of his kiss was the same as it always was, despite the trickery that Loki had tried to use to disguise one another. He then smiled at her though she couldn't really tell, though what she did see was his signature wink.
[MELODY]
A bright smile appeared on her face as a few tears escaped. She couldn't contain herself as she just jumped up into his arms wrapping her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck. "I-I am glad you are here."
[GEM]
He spun around once when they collided, wrapping his arms around her tightly as a wide smile took his features, his heart filling with joy, just glad neither one of them killed one another like that devil wanted.
[GEM]
Her form began to shift as the shadow dissolved off her body and he once again got to see that fire red hair he loved so much. But with them both hugging so tightly, that was all he could see for now.
[GEM]
He pressed his lips to her neck and shut his eyes with relief.
[MELODY]
Moira would have never have hurted him if she knew it was him. She laid her head against his shoulder as he kissed her neck. Her smile grew as she closed her eyes as well just staying like that for a while.
[GEM]
He put both his arms under her rear so he could hold her up, looking into her eyes when they parted enough to allow for him to do so. She could see him clearly now; those brown eyes, that subtle scratch scar on his forehead, his dimples that always showed up when he smiled... And likewise he enjoyed seeing her as her beautiful self again. "Thank God," he chuckled a little, unable to help it as he was so relieved he didn't kill her like he almost did quite a few times just then...
[MELODY]
Moira looked back into his eyes as she lifted her head from his shoulder smiling back at him. "..sorry for almost killing ye.." she said with a small chuckle as she simply drowning in his brown eyes.
[GEM]
He chuckled as well, his brows slouched back and raised with ironic laughter. "No worries, beautiful. Wouldn't be the first time a woman has attempted it," he joked. But then he cringed and let out an, "Ah!" from between his teeth before slowly putting her back down.
[MELODY]
Moira's eyebrows knitted together in worry when he put her down. She carefully let him go once her feet were back on the ground. "..are you alright?" She asked him concerned.
[GEM]
He looked at the cut on his arm to see how bad it was, noticing it was bleeding a somewhat moderate amount, staining his tunic under his leather armor. "I'll be fine," he said as he nodded, breathing a bit more. He then looked at her to see the wounds he gave her, noticing her leg was bleeding where he had sliced it. "Oh God forgive me," he said with sympathy.
[MELODY]
"Oh god..I am so sorry.." Moira felt really bad seeing him bleed like that knowing she was responsible for it. She hadn't even felt her injuries from the fight until he pointed out the one on her leg as it started stinging and hurting once the adrenaline wore off. She flinched slightly when she sat down to look at it. "It's alright..I am fine.." she said to him softly inspecting the wound before trying to stop the bleeding.
[GEM]
He got down on his knees, biting his lip from the pain in his abdomen that was also bleeding. But he reached for her with his hand as he said, "Give me the pack attached to your quiver," in a strained voice.
[MELODY]
Moira glanced up at him concerned before nodding as she got the pack detached from her quiver and handed it to him. "..I feel terrible for injuring ye..if I knew it was ye..I would have never-" she started before stopping herself shaking her head knowing they both couldn't have known.
[GEM]
"Shh--I know, it's okay," he reassured after taking it from her. He knelt beside her and took out some of the fabric they had brought for first aid. He ripped it with his teeth and gently began wrapping her thigh, keeping it tight but regretting that it caused her pain to do so. They just needed to make sure to stop the bleeding as much as possible.
[MELODY]
Moira flinched when he did so biting her bottom lip not wanting to react to it as he clearly felt quilty for it as well. "..let me help ye now." She said carefully getting up on her knees as she helped him using the same fabric to stop the bleeding in his abdomen.
[GEM]
"No, don't move. You'll bleed more," he said as he softly took her arm, but he was talking through thick breaths of pain.
[MELODY]
Moira glanced up at him when he did before sighing softly in concern as she listened to him sitting back down. "..sit down then.." she told him at the same soft tone.
[GEM]
He didn't want her to have to help him as he sat down and began to wrap his torso in the fabric. But she yanked it from his hands stubbornly and turned so that she was facing the other direction as they sat hip to hip and she started binding his wound. He just lifted his brows at that but then let her.
[MELODY]
Once she was sure she wrapped and secured the fabric right she looked up at him. "..give me ye arm.." she said to him calmly as she wanted to wrap that as well.
[GEM]
"Yes, my lady," he obeyed like they were married and lifted the arm closest to her.
[MELODY]
Moira rolled her eyes at that as a small smile appeared on her face again wrapping the fabric around his arm tightly to stop the bleeding and secured it. "..you sure you have no other injuries?" She asked him then just to be sure.
[GEM]
He looked into her adorable caring eyes with sympathy, feeling so awful that he hurt her when he said he would never... He hated it... "I know... I'm not technically to blame for it but I'm so sorry, Moira," he told her, lifting his hand to hold her cheek gently.
[MELODY]
Moira laid her hand against his as she tilted her head slightly letting it lean against his hand. "..don't apologise..it's only one cut..and a couple of bruises..I am fine.." she said to him calmly although it hurted a lot where he kicked her before. She tried not to show it not wanting him to worry.
[GEM]
He didn't change his expression and he pulled her head towards him as he laid his lips over her brow, shutting his eyes as his hand was in her hair.
[MELODY]
Moira's smile grew when he did that as let out a soft sigh closing her eyes as well. She stayed quiet just letting him do so.
[GEM]
He opened his eyes as he let her head rest on his shoulder, both of them in pain but grateful to be alive. "...The door didn't open, did it?" he asked.
[MELODY]
Moira glanced up at him when he said that before shaking her head. "..it probably wanted one of use to die.." she said sighing deeply.
[GEM]
This made him angry. Of course that was what this was for. This "Loki" knew they were close and wanted to force them to slaughter each other for one to get out. It wasn't surprising... just abhorrent.
"Well it can think again. Because that's not going to happen," he said with resolve, his arm hooked around her protectively.
Nov 21, 2023, 1:34 AM
[MELODY]
Moira looked around then wondering how they would get out then. "..there has to be another way.." She said as she stayed like that with him not planning on moving away from him yet.
Nov 21, 2023, 8:44 AM
[GEM]
He kissed the top of her head again before standing up with a groan as pain went through his abdomen. But he looked around at the room that seemed the same as the one with the keys, with the "doors" opposite one another. He wondered if there was something on the opposite door that would give them a hint as to how to escape but even then he doubted, knowing Loki wanted them to instead paint the floor with each other's blood...
[MELODY]
Moira got up as well flinching slightly as she did but went to look around as well. "..see anything?" She asked him as she checked the floor and walls seeing the same things as he did. She let out a frustrated sigh as she turned around to look at him again. "..maybe they open when the others see through it as well?" She would lie if she wasn't concerned about the others right now as well.
Nov 21, 2023, 11:11 AM
[GEM]
He shook his head slightly, feeling worried now as he realized the others had to go through something like this too. What did they see with the smoke? Did they have to fight each other too? If so... did they realize it before it was too late?
He shut his eyes with his hand against the wall but then when he opened them and looked left towards the south wall, he noticed something standing out in the darkness.
Frowning, he squinted a bit and then began to walk towards it.
[MELODY]
That's exactly what she feared right now that they would lose someone. She took a deep breath before watching him. "What is it?" She asked him as she walked closer to him.
Nov 21, 2023, 12:31 PM
[GEM]
He kept walking until he was about two feet from the wall, observing something there that was scratched into the stone by a blade; two lines perpendicular to one another.
A cross.
The etching was at eye level and was about a foot tall and half a foot wide. Not only that but there was the faint remnants of a bloody hand print right atop the center of it.
Uriah looked at this curiously, knowing it was a message left behind by the traveler who escaped... at least that's what he hoped it was.
[GEM]
The question was: what was this message trying to express?
[MELODY]
Moira carefully sat down by him looking at the message. "..is it biblical?" She asked him wondering that.
Nov 21, 2023, 1:00 PM
[GEM]
"Well... if the last one to get out was that missionary, it makes sense..." he said quietly as he contemplated the meaning of this...
Then he began to think about the words he read outside on the way into the labyrinth. "'Only one with the blood of a dragon and a heart for the Lord may take the stone'," he muttered under his breath, his fingertips grazing the center of the hand print...
[GEM]
With his brows furrowed, he glanced to his right and then back at the etching before he then began to undo Moira's good work on his arm band. After pulling off the fabric he placed his hand on the wound, wincing at the pain when the blood smeared onto his palm. He then placed his hand over the mark left by the last one, his own blood making contact with the scraping.
He didn't even have to speak. What happened next astonished them both.
The stone wall this etching was on, began to break away at the orthographical seams like the last few doors they went through.
Not only this, but the other two doors in the room began to shift and slide down into an open position, doing so quickly and permanently, as if the chains or ropes holding the counterweights suddenly burst... all of them at once.
[MELODY]
Moira stood up when that happened. Eyes wide as she saw the doors open. "..you did it...you opened the doors!" She said smiling brightly as she turned back around to him a little too quick with her injured leg as she flinched.
[GEM]
He was binding back his wound when she said this but when she flinched he came to her and put his arm around her back to support her so she wouldn't fall over. And that way she could take the weight off her injured leg. "See? This is why you should never doubt me," he jested, replying to what she said with a smirk as his hand held her arm that was now around his shoulders.
[MELODY]
"..I never said I doubted ye.." Moira said to him with a similar smirk. "..thank ye.." she said when he helped her. "..I am not hurting ye like this right?" She asked him worried about his injuries more still than her own.
[GEM]
"Not as bad as it is to look at your face, no," he jokingly insulted with his usual dry humor.
[MELODY]
Moira rolled her eyes at that joke. "Alright ye don't deserve my worrying then ye greadadh (Jerk)." She said to him acting annoyed but a small smile escaped her.
[GEM]
He chuckled and looked ahead once more, his smile slowly disappearing as his attention turned to the room that this secret doorway opened into, the mood shifting slowly.
The room was empty. All except for a stone pillar in the center that had something resting on it. It was an ornate sphere made of old bronze, crafted beautifully and sitting there with the light from the outside shining through small holes in the ceiling, beaming down upon it.
[MELODY]
As her gaze landed on the same thing following his her smile disappeared as well. "Is that it?" She asked him clearly unsure. "..what we were looking for?"
[GEM]
"I'm not sure what it was we were looking for..." he replied slowly as he began to walk with her into the room towards this mystery artifact. "...All we knew was there was something hidden in here that Tempus Mora wanted..." He kept his eyes glued to this metal orb, wondering what it was he was looking at... Was there some kind of deep magic about it?
[GEM]
To anyone else such a notion would be impossible but a couple months ago he didn't even know that soul possession was possible... Yet here he was.
[MELODY]
"..what should we do with it?" Moira asked not sure if touching it with bare hands or touching it at all would be wise. She observed it closely as she took in all the details of it.
[GEM]
As he stared a this relic, they began to hear the pitter patter of leather boots on the stone. And turning around, they saw Astrid in the doorway followed by Hiccup. "Oh thank the gods!" she said and ran forward to embrace Moira but gently, seeing as she was hurt.
[MELODY]
Moira's eyes widened when she saw them hugging her back as she let out a relieved sigh. "..oh thank god you are okay.." she said to Astrid and Hiccup when they came to them.
[GEM]
"We found them!" Hiccup called back to someone before he ran in after Astrid. "What happened to you guys?" he asked and then noticed all the wounds and his expression grew into more worry.
Uriah didn't really know how to answer that briefly so he just said, "Oh you know... I said axes were the best weapons and she said arrows... it only escalated from there."
[MELODY]
Moira let out a slightly uncomfortable chuckle when he said that before letting go off Astrid. "So..how did ye find yer way here?" She asked them trying to chance the subject.
[GEM]
"The walls of the boxes we were in collapsed and the doors all opened--" Astrid said.
"And because of the space being so large the hallucinogens wore off pretty quick," Hiccup added as the others were piling into the doorway from where they were searching.
"Oh bloody hell I'm glad to see the two of you--never thought I'd say that," Arne commented when he came in.
"What happened to you guys? Is everyone okay?" Uriah asked, beginning to count the amount of people he could see.
"We're all here, now. A bit shaken up..." Astrid explained.
"We think the smoke made us see our worst fears," Faelan added. Beside him, Gregor was still wiping his eyes.
[MELODY]
Moira watched them in disbelief trying to process the fact that only Uriah and herself had to go through almost killing each other. "So...all it did by you was showing it your fears? You didn't..have to fight..someone?"
[GEM]
As they said this, Uriah realized deep in his heart what that meant; what his worst fear was.
"The twins got close," Snotlout said with his arms crossed.
"We were put in a room with a spiked club in the middle of the floor," Ruffnut said.
She had expected to hear Tuffnut say something like "I would have won", but the twin was just silent as he looked down uncomfortably, not in the mood to joke.
"I saw pitch darkness," Faelan said. "I ran and ran but no one and nothing..."
"I saw my friends die," Gregor said to them, meaning all of them...
"I saw a bunch of spiders--" Arne said, causing an eye roll from Ruffnut.
[MELODY]
Moira glanced over at Uriah as she slowly started realizing why they were put in that hell. But then she heard Gregor say that as she carefully limped over to the Scotsman having a slight soft spot for him. She put her hand on his shoulder giving him a small smile. "Ye didn't lose us..but that must have been hard to see.."
[GEM]
He nodded a little, embarrassed as he breathed in to avoid shedding more tears. He put his hand firmly atop hers.
"Loki made Moira and I see each other as phantoms. We didn't even know we were hurting one another until a few familiar fighting moves made us realize," Uriah told them.
"Oh wow... than the gods you realized in time," Hiccup said with sympathy.
"Something like that, yes," he replied with a bit of a twinkle in his eye.
[GEM]
"Did you guys get the doors open?" Astrid asked them with interest.
[MELODY]
Moira gave Gregor a reassuring smile before looking over at Uriah when he told them that. "Well..there was something engraved in the wall..with an old bloody handprint. Uriah solved it and opened the doors." She explained to Astrid.
[GEM]
"An engraving--?" Hiccup asked.
"Did you find it? What we came here to get?" Astrid interrupted with intense eyes.
Uriah looked back at the--
He frowned and glanced around until his eyes caught Snotlout holding the relic as he just looked at it with confusion but when their eyes met he looked guilty.
[MELODY]
Moira's eyes widened when she saw Snotlout holding it. "Why would ye be so daft ye eeijt! Don't just pick it up!" She shouted at him frustrated. "We don't even know what it is!"
[GEM]
Faelan was trying not to laugh as he put his hand to his mouth.
Hiccup was rubbing the side of his forehead with stress.
"Well what, were you gonna let it sit here? We had to find out one way or another," Snotlout argued, carelessly using hand gestures to prove a point.
"Okay, let's just..." Uriah muttered under his breath as he snatched the relic from his loose grasp to hold onto it more securely.
[MELODY]
Moira shot him a glare as she was about to go hit him when Uriah pulled it away from him. She looked over at him a bit concerned then and nervous about the relic. "What do you think it is?" She asked him as she carefully stepped over to him.
[GEM]
The others were interested too and they huddled to try and see themselves.
Uriah turned it carefully in hand, making note of the ornate markings but didn't notice anything specific. He shook his head. "I don't know..."
[MELODY]
"..let's figure that out later then..and try to get out of here now." Moira stated as she went to look around. Hoping this was what they had to get and now they could get out.
[GEM]
"I agree. Whatever it is, we know Tempus Mora wanted it so we're taking it," Astrid said.
"Let's destroy it—" Ruffnut said.
"Nope," Hiccup stopped her with an arm across her chest.
"I'm getting the hell out of this place," Arne said.
"Same," Tuffnut agreed and followed after him.
Uriah looked at Moira and handed the relic to her for her to keep in her pack securely.
[MELODY]
A small smile appeared on her face as she took it from him carefully and put it in the pack attached to her quiver. "..I agree with Arne." She added as she went to walk around the room to find a way out.
[GEM]
