Basic info
Also known as dune rabbits, Sakyū usagi are fast and strong creatures, being fast on their feet and quick to Burrow, these humanoids come out during both the day and the night, searching for flowering cacti and oasis. These desert living creatures stand at the height of 5'4" ( The average height of a woman) and can reach speeds of 28 mph. Their main predators are sand worms, drought dragons and Desert wolves.
Relationships
The Sakyū usagi often live along side sand wyrms and Desert Kitsunes (also called the Fenix kitsunes), the 3 different species share a symbiotic relationship, the Desert kid sings gather food, the Sakyū usagi search for water and keep an eye out for predators, and the sand wyrms defend.
Courtship
Sakyū usagi often mate during The wet season with multiple partners, attempting to grow their Heard while food was still plentiful, there gestationperiod is the same as a Desert cottontail, allowing A large amount of young to be born in one meeting season. During the infant stages of a Sakyū usagi, The mother stays in their borough with their young, suckling them and keeping them warm during the cold nights in the desert
Habitat
Sakyū usagi are often found in the scorching desert of the forest of the mystics, never leaving unless a serious issue comes to light. Due to their habitat their appearance has adapted to look just like the sandy hills and dunes of the desert, while their eyes can range from any color visible to humans, their eyes have a protective layer over them for when sand storms happen.
