Damn it Kat

Angelica Sawyer has been around for a long time like 700 years long, so she knows her way around a situation, her best friend on the other hand doesn't. She met Katerina Petrova in 1492, she was a freshly turned vampire on the run from the man that Angel was starting to gain feelings for.

Her and Kat became thick as thieves on the run from the man Angel thought of as her almost, but after meeting a certain someone the thought of him started to hurt less, and as if Kat couldn't feel anymore guilty she was manipulating the person that made her friend feel that way.

Angel swore up and down that she didn't care what Kat did with him and she didn't because she knew that he could never fully be hers with the thought of the man who was still after them on her mind also.

So she did the only thing she could do in that situation, she ran. Her and Kat faked their deaths and ran, Kat was fine with it not having any real feelings towards the brothers but Angel just couldn't shake the guilt, not only has she now ran from two of her deepest most heartfelt relationships, she's now run from two of her closest friendships, she wish she didn't have to but with them being the brothers of her old lovers it was inevitable.

Katerina was sent to her by Angels old friend Trevor in hopes of finding a safe harbor for the scared girl he'd grown quit fond of, at first she was against helping not wanting hurt the person she cared deeply for but after getting to know Kat she realized how alike they were and knew she couldn't abandon her.

So after many many years later she's finally regretting helping her not because Katherina did anything wrong to her directly but because her actions put Angel in a compromising situation, one she believed she'd never have to encounter, but here she is driving to the one place she tried staying away from for as long as possible,

Mystic Falls.

Angelica knew something was up the second Kat sent her a text, when cell phones first came out they came up with a code so if they were ever far away and got into trouble they could let the other girl know. Their code was 'wow the scenery is beautiful here', Kat came up with it because they've been everywhere and already know what everything looks like.

The second Angel got the text she was up, packed, and ready to go. She knew this would happen because when Kat first told her the plan she knew it would back fire and she told Kat that but the stubborn brunette doesn't listen.

Angelica knew that she couldn't just walk in there blind she needed help so she's making a pit stop at the one person who knows everything, and if he doesn't know he will always find out.

Slayter is an old friend of hers, they met while he was going through his fifth time in college, she was snacking on one of the frat boys who tried hitting on her when he came up and told her about all the weed the boy consumed that night. For the rest of the night Slayter had to take care of her because it was her first time consuming any type of drug, and from then on out they became close friends.

Angelica was excited to see the guy, she hasn't seen him in five years. She feels slightly bad that the only reason shes coming to catch up is because she needs something, but the second she gets to his apartment door those thoughts go out the window and alarm bells start ringing through her head.

The front doors were wide open and the chain that was clearly locked on the inside was broken. As Angel slowly walked inside she could hear what sounded like keys clicking on a computer, moving towards the sounds she lightly kicked something squishy making her looked down.

The sight almost brought tears to her eyes, the normal smiling and happy face of her old friend was starring at her with grey cold veins covering his usually rosy cheeks. Angel just sighed and kept her tears in she couldn't mourn him because if she mourned him she'd have to do it for everyone she's ever lost and she didn't have enough tears for that.

Angel stepped around his body and proceeded to walk into the room that held three girls. One with black hair and messy makeup who looked like she was trying to be Amy Winehouse was sat at the computer. The other two girls she couldn't see, both were brunette, but one had a sort of short spiky pixie cut.

"Just get him the message," the brunette with long hair said. The girl had the same voice as her best friend but with a little more whine to it making her realize who it was.

"What message?" she said announcing her presence. All three girls looked at her with shocked looks, two of them were from them not noticing another person was in the room, but the third was from a mixture of surprise and fear.

"Angelica." Rose whispered loud enough for the humans to hear. Her breath started to pick up because she knew why the red-head was here and she knew that if she didn't get what she wanted they'd all be dead.

"Hello Rose," she smirked. The woman started walking into the room causing Rose to flinch. Elena looked at the woman beside her in confusion, why was she so jumpy all of the sudden? "I knew you were in town but I wasn't sure I would see you, but I'm so glad that I have."

The smile she had on her face made everyone in the room nervous, it wasn't a normal smile all of them could see the malicious glint in her eyes making her k-nines gleam.

"Who are you?" Elena asked finding courage. Angel looked over at the girl and really studied her face. She started picking out the differences between her and her best friend, like how she wears less makeup than Kat, or how her hair was straight, or how her nose was more crooked.

"I'm so sorry where are my manners," she said in a fake apologetic voice. "I'm Angelica Sawyer."

"Oh well I'm-" the brunette was cut off before she could get her name out. Angel really didn't need to have small talk with the girl.

"I know who you are, Elena Gilbert. You're the doppelganger who trapped my best friend," she said dropping the nice facade. Elena visibly gulped at the woman's quick mood change.

"Your Katherines best friend," she said scared. The sound of Elena's heart beat picking up brought a smile to Angels face.

"The one and only," she replied walking closer. Angel faked a sigh tilting her head to the side while looking at the doppelganger. "And because of that, your going to take me to her."

"I'm not doing that, Katherine in dangerous," Elena tried. Rose sighed and clenched her eyes shut.

Angel sped towards the girl till she was right in her face causing Elena to flinch back. "I'm not asking, your going to take me to her and I'm not leaving your side until I have her back, do you understand?"

When Elena just stood there shaking Angel sighed and grabbed the doppelganger by the throat and spoke in a slow and calm voice, "Do. You. Understand?"

"Y-yes" Elena gasped out while clawing at her hand. Rose was looking at the scene not knowing what to do while Alice had already hidden under the desk.

Angel let her go with a little push making the girl stumble back onto the floor while holding her throat coughing trying to breath in a much needed breath. The brunette looked at the woman with watering eyes only to see her filing her nails like she didn't almost kill her.

Once Angel was done fixing her nails that got bent from the pressure she used holding the doppelgangers neck she turned to a wide eyed Rose. Angel wasn't to close with the girl but they had some nice chats when the brunette wasn't busy being the Mikaelson brothers lap dog.

"So Rose, how are you?" she asked walking over to the couch and plopping down. Rose hesitantly looked at the woman, she knows that Angel knows that she knows where Katherine is but she figured that she should also know that she didn't have any part in it.

"I've been not so good," the British woman said. Rose went and sat in the seat opposite of the red head, it doesn't take long for her to feel comfortable in the woman's presence, as long as she wasn't mad at you, she has a very motherly sort of personality that everyone's drawn too. "Trevor died a couple of days ago."

Angels heart hurt at that information, she knew that the boy wasn't fit for vampirism, she always felt bad for him, especially when he fell for Katherine's charm just like every other male. She's honestly surprised he's lasted this long but still the thought was enough to sadden her.

"I'm so sorry Rose," Angel said with real sincerity in her voice. Angelica didn't like showing too much emotion to people she wasn't close with but she figured this time was okay to let a little slip out.

"it's okay, he had it coming," Rose said. Angel tensed understanding how he died, only two people had it out for him, and she didn't want to see either of them anytime soon.

Before she had a chance to process Rose turned the the doppelganger who finally pulled herself off the floor and over to the table that held a tea set.

"Elena, what are you doing, why are you sending that message?" she asked upset. Elena looked at Rose with a look of defiance the same look Kat gets.

"I'm getting Klaus' attention," she answered a little gravely. Angels breath hitched at the name she hasn't heard in centuries. The sound of his name sent shivers down her spine the memory of their last encounter raced through her mind.

1492

The sun was shining on her hair making it glow like a flame that's been burning for a while. She was sat in the garden on a stool with her green dress flowing around her. The birds were singing and the flowers were full of color around her.

Klaus thought it was the prettiest scene he's ever seen, he was so happy that he's able to capture this moment and her beauty on a canvas. The smell of paint and grass filled his nose as he tried to match every perfect detail on her face.

Angelica looked at the man she's come to adore watching as his mouth twitches in concentration and how his brows would furrow when he doesn't like something. She thought him beautiful she felt that the roles should be switched and she should be working on capturing his beauty.

"Stop starring it's making me loose focus," Klaus said trying to hide his blush. He could feel her starring at him for a while now and he's tried to ignore the nerves its causing but he just couldn't help it anymore.

"I'm sorry, am I making the big bad original nervous," she smirked playfully. She's been sitting still for hours she's ready to move and right now the only thing she's thinking about requires a lot of movement.

Klaus looked up from his painting to see her suggestive look making him gulp slightly, no matter how dominate he wants to be in every situation Angelica Sawyer was the only person who could make him into a puddle with a bat of her eyelashes.

"Angel please I'm trying to concentrate," he slightly begged making her smirk wider. Klaus slightly cursed in his head knowing that he wouldn't be able to finish now.

Angelica slowly stood from her stool and walked over to Klaus in a cat like manner she knows drives him crazy. Once she's reached him holding eye contact she sat on his lap making sure not to mess with the painting. Klaus quickly grabbed her hips to stabilize her while also using it as an excuse to hide the slight shake in his hands.

"But Nik, I'm bored," she bat her eyelashes. And just like that Klaus totally forgot all about the painting his only thoughts on the very important task at hand.

Present

The sound of heels clicking ringing through the apartment drew Angels attention, looking up the girl she still had no clue the name of walked in looking triumphant.

"Cody is on his way, and he really wants to meet you," the raven haired girl said making Rose roll her eyes.

"I'm sorry," Angel said slicing through the visible tension in the room. "Who is Cody?"

Elena and Rose look at each other having a silent conversation on weather or not they should tell the red head the plan, Rose was worried about how she'll react and Elena was more worried about her ruining it.

"Cody is someone my boyfriend Slaytor was in contact with about Klaus, so they had me message him hoping to draw him here," the raven haired girl blurted out before they could come up with a decision.

"Do you have a death wish," Angel laughed humorlessly. Angel knew that if they were actually able to contact Klaus it would be a death sentence for all of them. "He's going to kill you and Rose and the other chick, you do know that right?"

Elena looked at the other duo seemingly just now realizing the situation she's put them in. Angel laughed at her clueless expression finding entertainment in her troubles. She knows that if she actually got to know the girl she might like her but right now her and her little gang have her best friend kidnapped and she's not playing nice with anyone.

"I've got to go make a call," Rose said walking into the other room so the humans can't hear her.

Angelica knows it's rude to ease drop but what else does she have to do make chit chat with the doppelganger and the Priscilla Presley wanna be, no. The sound of the phone ringing filled both Rose and Angels ear.

"Not a good time rose," a voice answered over the phone. Angelica sat straighter recognizing that voice anywhere. She only knows one person that could have a playful and serious voice all at the same time.

"Don't be angry with me," Rose started. Angel could already tell where the conversation was going and knew that she couldn't stick around much longer. Angel looked over at the doppelganger who was busy nervous picking at her cuticles and knew that she's going to have to go back on her word.

"Listen," Angel said gaining her attention. "I'm sorry for hurting you, I just want my best friend back, but I'm not staying and waiting around for some Cody guy to get here so I'm leaving."

"But I thought you said you weren't leaving my side," Elena asked confused watching her get up. Angelica sighed knowing she needed to leave and be gone long before Damon even steps foot into Richmond, but she also knows that she can't give away the reason she's leaving.

"Look Elena, things change plans change, I'm bored so I'm leaving, but don't worry you'll see me again very soon," Angel smirked. Elena watched as Angelica turned on her feet and walked out the door with the same amount of confidence Katherine does.

Once Angelica was out in the hall she started quickening her pace just enough not to look too suspicious if a neighbor was passing by but enough so she could get the hell out of there. She never knew how much trouble coming back here to Mystic Falls would bring but the only thought running through her head was,

"Damn it Kat."
