Chapter One
Of course it was up to me to kill the monsters. Because no one else will step up and do it. I know this town.
I guess I should introduce myself. Hi. What's up? The name's, well, I don't give out my real name so just call me BlockArtist please. As you can tell by my nickname, I'm an artist. I love art and it's my passion. A lot of people like my work too and that makes me happy.
Anyway, back to the monsters. There's two vampires, one ghost, one demon, one werewolf, and one shapeshifter. Yep. And guess what? I have to kill them before the blood moon sets, otherwise they'll be stuck in their forms forever. But I'm just wondering why I have to kill them in the first place? They were just innocent, unlucky people that fell victim to the prophecy of the blood moon. This task wasn't going to be easy. Not at all.

I did some research online about the different supernatural creatures and I've decided that I'm going to kill the vampires first. Then I'll probably go for the werewolf and I'll figure out the rest of the order later. I just need some supplies now. And I know just the man to get them from.

"Hunter!" I yelled, causing him to drop his can of beer.
"You little-" He growled. I laughed because he was in charge for the night while Mom and Dad were out at a party and I don't think that they'll like seeing a huge beer stain on the carpet. "What the hell did I ever do to you?"
"Well, there was that one time where you told me that there were monsters in my closet." I said. "Oh, and let's not forget that one time where you put spiders in the shower. Or the time where-"
"Okay. I get it." He said. "I'm a horrible older brother. But I know you. You only come out here when you want something from me whenever I babysit you."
"Don't use the term babysit." I said. "I'm seventeen now."
"And I'm twenty-one." Hunter said. "What's that got to do with anything?"
I sighed and said, "I need to borrow some of your things."
"What things?" He asked.
"Your monster hunting kit-"
"No!" He said. "I paid a bunch of money for that and I'm not going to have it ruined by you."
"I won't ruin it." I said. "Besides, what are you going to use it for?"
"Larping of course." He said.
"What the hell is that?"
"Live-Action Roleplaying." He said, rolling his eyes. "Get with the times sis."
"You are such a nerd." I said, rolling my eyes as well. "But the town is in jeopardy. And that cute girl you've been trying to talk to might get killed by the monsters."
"Oh God, not Ava!" He said, immediately getting up and running up to his room. I followed him and I saw him drag a huge case of monster hunting equipment out from under his bed.
"Take whatever you need." He said. "I don't even care if it gets ruined. Just don't let that cute girl I can't even gather up the courage to talk to get hurt!"
"Why don't you go with me?" I asked. "You can be her knight in shining armor and maybe you'd actually talk to her."
"As much as I would love to, I can't." He said. "I've got homework to do."
"Hunter!" I said. "Why didn't you do your homework?"
"Because college sucks, that's why." He said. "Anyway, be back by morning because that's when Mom and Dad will be back."
"Don't worry, I will." I said. "Besides, if I don't kill all of them by the end of the blood moon, they'll be stuck like that forever."
"You better go then." He said, heading out of his room. "Good luck."
"Thanks." I said as I opened the kit. They were so many things in here that I wondered how Hunter carried it around when he went larping. Or how he snuck it past Mom and Dad. Nonetheless, I went into my room and grabbed the biggest purse that I owned. Then, I loaded up the weapons that I would need. Silver stake for the vampires, gun loaded up with silver bullets for the werewolf, knife for the demon, salt for the ghost, and a steel bar for the shapeshifter.

If I don't return, tell my family that I love them, even my brother. He may get on my nerves sometimes but he's a fun guy to be around. Mom, Dad, you may drive me crazy to the point where I want to pack up and move out sometimes, you still raised me and took care of them and I'm beyond thankful for that. For my friends, I'm thankful that you guys were the best friends that a girl could ask for. Thank you so much. Also, Dan, in the off-chance that you're reading this, I've liked you for a long time. Like, a really long time. I don't know if you ever noticed but I think I made it pretty obvious. But maybe not. But anyway, if I do return, maybe you and I could be friends. I would really like that.
I mustn't waste any more time. I've got monsters to take down. Wish me the best of luck. I'll most certainly need it.
