That's all what she could remember. Not his smile, nor what he looked like... only the question that brought them apart . It has been 10 years already, but still, sometimes she had that dream were they where both holding hands as kids, playing around and finally asking her her name, but to her 'luck', she couldn't answer, she couldn't speak, all she did was run away when the other's parents showed up, ready to start a riot. Still to this day, she had that same scenario on replay, every time feeling miserable for not doing anything that day.
-At another place...-
The Hwarang's were beautiful warriors filled with strength and power, this warriors were to serve the Queen at any moment she required them, they would've given their lives for their royalty, at least that's what they've been taught of. This particular day the Hwarang's where training for a special mission of groups, in this groups the challenge was to bring back news of anything of interest for the Kingdom along with a solid prove, this was to test the trust that could be given to the young warriors. After their teacher formed the groups they where sent to get the horses and right into the deep roots of the forest, this being the place most of the people would disappear; here most of the Hwarangs where scared, but one curious young Hwarang was far beyond excited, his elder brother just seemed amused at the younger boy as they rode into the forest, trying to guide the horses without getting hit by the low branches of the trees. Dan Se looked back again at his younger brother Hansung, who was looking up at the light peeking through the higher trees, amazed by it's beauty, but brought back by his eldest brother's nag
"Hansung, please focus on the road, we don't have a map so I suggest you to at least memorize the path we've been walking through" Hansung just nodded and kept on his bright attitude, knowing his brother was just worried about him. After what seemed like hours of walking Dan Se's horse started to get anxious and so did Hansung's, both horse's dunking the Suk brothers to the ground and speeding off to God know where, both Dan Se and Hansung sat up as they now seemed more lost than they already where. Dan Se desperately screaming out for back up, but getting no answer back, while Hansung just looked around, not knowing where to lead his older brother, until he heard a faint noise coming from up close, turning around to see if he could find the source of it
"Hyung, follow me" he spoke sternly to his older but the elder didn't flinch, just following him to see if he really did as he told him earlier. Hansung kept following the sound until it was recognizable as a voice; a female voice. Dan Se looked at Hansung just to get a nod, still walking towards the darkest part of the forest, where the voice was stronger, Hansung couldn't focus on nothing else but that voice 'From where did he knew that voice' or 'Why was he even familiar with that voice', he just wanted to find out the source of it. When the voice was stronger it hitted him, it brought him back to the time when he was a kid, when he found a small girl singing that song in the depths of the forest behind his old house, even if he couldn't remember what she looked like he could clearly remember her voice, and also the strange language she was speaking, he found it to be pretty. As they walked to what seemed like a small lagoon, there he saw 'her', Hansung hid behind the tall bushes as he looked at her from behind; her skin was tan, but her hair was as white as the snow, tied up to her shoulder length. Dan Se hid with him as he looked at the stranger; her clothes looked like those from the tribes the Hwarangs have fought in the past, he gasped as he saw a strange logo on one of the strange girl's sleeve, pulling Hansung closer
"Hansung, we must leave and inform the Hwarangs, this stranger is from a dangerous tribe, we must..." but he got interrupted by the youngest
"Dan Se, she's only sitting there, she's not hurting anyone" at this Hansung got up and walked through the bushes, he wanted answers, and he was going to get them, slowly he made his way to the girl, trying to be as silent as he could. Just as he was a few meters apart from her she stopped singing, getting up from the lodge she was sitting on and slightly turning her head, still not showing her face
"Anatahadare? Anata wa ushinawa rete imasu ka?" (Who are you? Are you lost?) the girl asked, but Hansung was unfamiliar with the language.
"Um...ehr...S-sorry, but I can't understand..." he kept getting closer, step by step, slowly. The girl chuckled and asked again, but back in his own language
"I was asking you if you where lost...because you seem disturbed about this place" when she finished her sentence she turned around, showing him her face, tilting her head to the side as she saw Dan Se hidding from behind the bushes, at that time her eyes widened as she spotted the Hwarang symbol on Dan Se's uniform (HanSung wasn't wearing his uniform as it was supposed to be an undercover challenge), she started to back up as she looked back and forth from Dan S to HanSung,at this the young boy got close faster
"Wait! Where are you going? We were going to..." he got interrupted by the girl as she shouted at them
"Hwarang...The Hwarang's are monsters! Are Savages! You...You!..." she shouted at Hansung the last part as she then ran away from there, followed by HanSung and Dan Se trying to cath her, as she looked behind her she shouted over and over back in her language
"Tasukete! Senshi-tachi ga kōgeki shite iru!" (Help! The warrior's are attacking!) she kept running until another group of the Hwarangs ran towards them and pushed her down, her head hitting the ground first as she was knocked off. When Hansung saw her he immediately ran to her only to be pushed back by Dan Se
"HanSung, Stop! She's dangerous! We must take her back for interrogation" Hansung at this got up and pulled on Dan Se's sleeve
"Hyung, don't. We were the ones that scared her. Let her go!" but as he walked again SooHo held his arm
"HanSung, listen to him" SooHo was never serious, so he just assumed he was too into the capturing stuff, when Dan Se was about to grab the girl an arrow flew past them, followed by three other strangers with the same clothes as the girl, this time with strange masks on, all the Hwarangs present walked back, preparing their swords, until the tallest one from the strangers walked forth to the girl, picked her up and returned to the group, as another one spoke to the young warriors
"We know you Hwarang's, be afraid of the fate that will fall upon you, as the night and day go..." the one who spoke then retreated with the group into the depths of the forest again, leaving the warrior's confused and scared, thinking of what might happen when they return to Silla only with that message and a confused but intrigued HanSung, who was only thinking about the girl, the one that he saw back when he was a kid, maybe...
...Maybe she was the one who stole his breath away...
