Do you remember

From times long ago,

Our worlds not complete

Only  starting to grow,

When we'd play outside

Whether rain or snow,

When we'd meet over there

In our childhood meadow,

When we'd sit in the shade

Beneath the old willow,

When we'd speak of things

Which we didn't know,

When we'd confide in each other

And share every woe?

Because it's been some time

Since we've shared our hellos,

And all this time I've waited

Hiding amongst shadows,

Calling out to someone

A friend I used to know.

A/N: This was a prompt I found online, and I changed it a little to better suit me- Pick up the closet book, flip to a random page, and choose six (I think it was six) words. Use them in a poem.
