Bad Luck
A lone cat wanders
Into the night,
A lone cat wonders,
Her eyes alight
With the glow of the stars
And wondrous sights
And the lone cat ponders,
Why such fright?
It's a shame, really,
Such beauty wasted
On a creature seen as a witch.
It's a crime, truly,
Such kindness squandered
On a cat, black as pitch.
The lone cat strays,
As if by lightning struck,
The lone cat prays
For a life so stuck
To move along,
Stop running amuck,
For such a day
Is only bad luck.
