Myles

They say good things come to people that wait, but see me I never been the type to wait. Time is the only thing you can't get back. I sometimes catch myself  thinking about the time I've wasted and find my self questioning if this was one of those times.

Was she really worth me spending all this time chasing her? I was a fool to think that her man would let her go easily. I've came to the conclusion that I really wasn't going to pursue her but I still needed to talk to her.

I needed to talk to all of them, Jaron really put thoughts into my head about calming down and just being about my money. We have hella repairing to do to our organization and right now wasn't the time to start another war.

"Bruh what up with you? HEELLLOOOO" Kam said as he shook me.

"Nigga! Shake me one more time" I mugged him.

"I mean shit, we in the middle of a conversation and yo ass just blank out mid sentence"

"It's something I need to do" I said as I stood and headed towards the door.

"What the fuck" him and Jaron mumbled in unison.

I hopped into my car and pulled off, just as I was about to dial out my phone started to ring. "Speak"

"Myles, I got that information you needed" a familiar voice spoke.

"Right on time, send it to my phone"

"Bet" and with that I ended the call. Within seconds a phone number and address was sent to my phone.

I immediately dialed the number, it rung 5 times before her voice came through the phone; "hello?" She asked in a questioning tone.

I paused for a minute.

"Hheeelllllooooo" she said in a more stern voice.

"He-Hello" I said as I took a deep breath.

"Who is this?"

"It's ... it's Myles just hear-" that's all I could get out before the line clicked. I called again and got the voicemail. I tried one more time just to receive the same result. 

I entered the address into my gps and headed to my destination.

Kiari

Toya and I were laying around her house relaxing while the guys were out of town in Jamaica, Mani was home taking care of the kids since they had the flu, Juri was still in the house per the doctor's orders, and Camari was gone back to school.

Israel was sleep so here we were watching Netflix and drinking wine. Her phone rung and she answered it.

"Hello" she answered in a questioning tone.

"Hhheeellllllooo" she said again more sternly.

"Who is this" She furrowed her eyebrows.

Before I knew it she was hanging the phone up and staring at it. "Who was it?"  I asked.

"Mmmyles" She stuttered with a frightened look on her face.

I jumped up; "how the fuck did he get your number?"

"I-I don't know"

I could tell that she was kind of scared, the look she had on her face was one I haven't seen since she was a kid. Her breathing started to pick up as if she was having a panic attack.

I squatted in front of her and placed my hands on each side of her face, "breathe, it's okay. I'm here with you"

I breathed in and out slowly as I motioned for her to follow my breathing. "Breathe in and out, in and out"

She did as I told her until her breathing was regulated. Her phone was ringing non stop and each time I let it go to voicemail. I grabbed my phone and called Luckie on FaceTime.

It took him a while to answer; "what's up sis?"

"Hey I know y'all busy but we kinda have a situation"

He jumped up and walked out of the room; "what is it? Is Toya okay? Is Israel okay?" he asked with despair in his voice.

" Israel is okay, he's in his room sleeping"

"And Toya? Where's Toya?" He asked as he  started to panic.

"Calm down she's right here" I flipped the camera to show her sitting on the couch with her head in her hands.

"What's wrong with her? Kiari what's going on?"

"Somehow Myles got her phone number, he called her phone"

"He what!" The vein in his forehead and neck popped out as his face turned red.

"Call Debo right now, as soon as you hang up call him and have him and Strap come to my house ASAP!" I nodded my understanding.

"We are almost finished here then we will be on our way home"

"Okay"

"Give Toya the phone" I handed her the phone and grabbed hers to call Debo. He answered on the first ring, I explained to him what happened and asked him to come to Luckie's house as soon as possible. He confirmed that he was in route and that he would be here in 10 minutes flat.

I ended the call the same time that Toya was wrapping up her call with my brother. "You good now?" I asked her as I sat next to her and engulfed her into a hug.

"Yes sissy, I'm okay. Seeing Isaiah's face made me feel a little better." She smiled. Israel's cries came through the baby monitor and she switched the screen on the tv to show his room.

He was moving his arms and legs as he cried out for his mommy. It was as if he could tell she needed him also to calm her nerves. She instantly made her way up the stairs to go hold him.

Her doorbell rung; "I know their not here that fast" I said to myself referring to Debo and Strap. I headed towards the door and opened it smiling. "He-"

My smile instantly dropped as I stared into the eyes on the other person on the other side of the door. "You GOT TO have a fucking death wish."

"Where is she I just need to talk to her" he stated as he raised his hands in surrender.

"You don't need to do anything but turn around and gone about your business" I said as I placed my hand behind my back gripping the Glock 42 I had in my pants.

"There's no need for the hostility. I'm not here to cause any trouble"

"Ri who is it at the door?" Toya said as she came down the stairs.

"Toya go back upstairs" I said hesitantly.

"Who is i-" her voice got caught in her throat as she approached the door holding Rel. I saw out of my peripheral that her eyes widened in shock.

Myles stood there in awe and confusion as he stared at Toya and Rel. "Toya take the baby back upstairs"

"I'm not leaving y-"

"Back . Upstairs. NOW LaToya" I said in a stern voice. Realizing that this wasn't up for discussion she turned on her heels and headed back up the stairs.

I turned back around and asked him again; "you must have a death wish" I said as I pulled my gun out and pointed at him. "I don't care what you feel you have to say to her you fucked up by coming where my family lay their head"

He pulled his gun out too and pointed it at me. We stood staring at one another, neither of us wavered or blinked.

"Now you knew I wasn't finna leave you down here with this psycho" I heard Toya's voice behind me along with the familiar sound of a gun being cocked.

"LaToya where is my nephew?" I asked as I still stared into Myle's eyes

"He's fine! Now what you trying to do?"

"Y'all not finna do a damn thing, now why y'all open this door" Debo said as he too raised his gun to Myle's head.

It was at this moment that Myles knew he fucked up.
