-Kara-

"Kai!" I cried out and looked up at the rooftop to see somebody wearing a black hoodie turning away. "YAH! STOP!" Whoever did it obviously didn't listen. I fell to the ground beside Kai. "Kai! Kai! It's going to be okay Kai, arasso? Somebody! Someone help!"

Thankfully, at that moment JB and Leah arrived. JB froze in place when he saw what had happened.

Leah quickly took out her phone and called 911, "Please come quickly! Somebody's hurt! Please come quick! Yes, we're at Seoul High School. He's unconscious.. and... please hurry. " She quickly said then hung up and ran towards us. "Kara, are you okay?"

"I'm fine, but Kai isn't! We need to take him to to the hospital now!" I looked down at Kai again who was still bleeding. I quickly took off my scarf from around my neck and wrapped it around his head. "It's going to be okay..." I whispered, and felt my eyes tearing up.

The ambulance truck finally came and the medics quickly carried Kai inside.

"Can you tell us what happened?" One of the police asked.

I pointed to the rooftop. "Somebody dropped something from there. We don't know who it was.... Is he going to be okay?"

"The doctors are going to do whatever they can.But who would do such a thing?" The policeman asked as he wrote down something in his notepad.

"I don't know, but-"

"I know who. Kara, can I talk to you for a second?" Leah pulled me to the side, and I noticed that she looked nervous.

The policeman nodded as he walked away to talk to a teacher who had came outside after seeing the problem.

"This is all my fault." Leah looked stressed.

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"Kara. Krystal has been telling me to stay away from D.O. Otherwise she would hurt someone I care about." Leah answered, and she was refusing to make eye contact with me.

"Wait what? Are you saying that pot was aimed for me?" I asked through my gritted teeth.

"Yes but-"

"You're saying that because of your feelings for a guy who already has a girlfriend, someone I care about is hurting? This happened because you couldn't stay away from D.O?!" I asked angrily. How could she do something like this?

"Kara. I'm sorry I-"

"Don't," I put my hand up, "don't talk to me." I clenched my fists and made my way towards the ambulance where JB was waiting anxiously.

"Do you think we'd be able to come along with him?" I asked the medics in the truck.

"Of course." They nodded as they helped us on, before I looked back at Leah who was watching us leave.

The ride to the hospital was fairly quiet until JB broke the silence. "Don't you think you were overreacting a bit?" He asked quietly.

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"The way you yelled at your sister." He answered.

"Kai is your best friend. Do you not care about his health at all JB?" I asked.

"Of course I do, but Leah is your cousin. You didn't even hear the full story. Krystal is psycho, Kara. From what I've heard D.O. is the one that goes up to Leah, not the other way around.. It's not her fault. You can't blame her for something without hearing her out." He said.

"But Kai-" I began.

"Your feelings for Kai are blinding you."Jb suddenly said.

"What are you talking about? I don't like Kai..." I said.

"Whatever you say," JB sighed and looked at Kai.

-JB-

"We'll call you guys in when we get the results. Does he have any real family members or relatives ?" The nurse asked.

"They're out of country right now." I answered.

"Okay." The nurse said as she walked back in.

I looked over towards Kara who was tapping her foot on the ground nervously.

I put my hand on hers reassuringly."Hey. He's going to be okay."

She looked at me. "That pot was supposed to hit me. Not him. I should be the one in that hospital bed right now... not him."

"Shut up. Don't talk like that. No one was supposed to get hit. Besides, that's Kai for you. He's always the superman, whether you like it or not."

"I'm going to kill Krystal." She mumbled.

"I heard they're coming here in a bit to check on Kai. The whole schools practically coming."

"I'm going to beat her up." Kara said sternly completely ignoring what I said.

"No you're not." I laughed.

"I am! Watch me." Kara promised.

"I won't let you woman." I poked her cheek.

"Yah! Don't call me woman."

"Would you rather me call you man?" I asked with a smile.

Kara hesitated then said, "Fine woman is okay." I could tell that she was trying not to smile.

I smiled. "Hey. I'm sorry." I said.

"About what?" She asked me.

"If I never left your side,none of this would've happened." I looked down at the ground.

"None of us knew this was going to happen." She said.

That's when my phone rang, and I answered it.

"JB."

"Kyung Soo? Yah where are you?" I asked. "Chankaman, how do you have my number?"

"I'm in the car on my way to the hospital with Krystal. And I got it from one of the other students."He answered.

"She's coming?" I asked.

"Yeah. Is Kara with you?" He asked as he cleared his throat.

"Yeah but Leah isn't since that's obviously what you wanted to ask me."

"Where is she?" He asked.

"Ask your girlfriend, I gotta go." I hung up the phone."

"Was that D.O?" Kara asked.

I nodded and put my phone away.

"I'm gonna beat him up too." She mumbled.

-Kara-

The door burst open and in came D.O along with Krystal and twenty other students.

I stood up, but JB held me back. I broke free from his grasp and walked over to Krystal. She stopped when she saw me and I lifted my arm and slapped her across her face. Everyone in the hall gasped and her face was stricken with horror.

"Yah! Kara! Michuso!?" D.O came up to me and yelled at me.

"KYung Soo! Watch who you're yelling at." JB pushed D.O against the wall.

"You've got some guts newbie." Krystal sneered.

"Why don't you tell D.O why I slapped you?" I crossed my arms.

"What are you talking about?" Krystal asked.

I walked over to D.O. "Your girlfriend threatened my cousin to stay away from you otherwise she was going to hurt me. Kai saved me otherwise I would be in that hospital bed."

"Krystal. Is this true?" D.O asked.

"Do you really think that low of me? Kyung Soo yah. I would never do that." She said.

"First you slap her, then you have the guts to accuse her of causing this, Kara. Kaja, Krystal." D.O grabbed Krystal's arm and they walked out of the hospital door.

"Yah!" I yelled and began to go after them but JB held me back.

"Let go!" I screamed.

"Kara!" He yelled at I looked at him. He held my face in his hands. "Calm down." He whispered. After a few moments I felt my eyes tearing up.

"I got mad at Leah when it wasn't her fault. Kai's hurt because of me." And then the tears started flowing. The crowd around us had dispersed at that point but JB lifted my face up with his hands.

"Stop beating yourself up. None of this is your fault." He comforted.

"Are the family members of the patient in room 204 here?" A nurse came out.

"That would be us." JB answered.

-Kai-

"Come in." I said weakly.

The door opened and in walked in JB and Kara.

"Kai!" Kara ran over to the side of the bed and cried.

"Yah, calm down." I smiled a little and put my hand on Kara's shoulder.

"Why are you so stupid?! Why did you have to get in the way?!" She yelled as she hit me.

"Yah! That hurts!" I groaned.

"Sorry sorry. But never do that again. Or I'll kill you myself." She pouted.

"Arasso. JB what's up man?" I managed.

"Michuso. You're really crazy.... How are you feeling?" He Asked as he put a hand on my shoulder.

"I'm a little drowsy right now. . I'm going to try to rest. You guys can stay in here though." I smiled as I drifted off.

-JB-

"That's a relief." I said as I sat down on the chair next to Kara.

"That he's feeling okay? Yeah." she replied.

"I'm gonna go let the kids outside know he can't take visitors. I'll be right back." I said as Kara nodded and I walked outside. After telling all the students Kai had to rest, I went to the hospital cafeteria.

I picked up a coffee for Kara and some snacks before heading back upstairs. I opened the door to the room and Kara was sitting in her chair, asleep.

I sat down in the chair next to her and began eating my donut. Halfway through, I felt someone's head on my shoulder. I turned around and Kara was still asleep but she had rested her head on my shoulder. I smiled a little bit and took out my phone from my pocket.

"What are you doing?" I looked up and unexpectedly saw Kim Woo Bin walking towards us.

I quickly put my phone back in my pocket and continued to eat my donut. "N-nothing. Just eating."

"Yah." Woo Bin sighed and crossed his arms. "I know that trick because I've done it before."

I looked away embarrassed. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm here to see Kai." He answered.

"Didn't I just announce that nobody's allowed to visit him?" I asked loudly.

"But I just want to see my best friend." Woo Bin smirked. "And you shouldn't talk so loud if you don't want to wake her up. This will probably be the only time something this lucky will happen to you. Bye."

"Yah!" I started as he walked away, but then remembered that Kara was still asleep. Aish, I hate him so much.

-D.O-

"Thank you for defending me." Krystal smiled once we got outside of the hospital.

"What's your problem?" I suddenly asked her and faced Krystal.

Krystal stopped walking and looked at me. "What are you talking about?"

"Don't act innocent." I told her.

"You don't believe me either?" Krystal asked in shock. "I didn't do anything wrong! Why are you acting like this towards me?"

"Because I know it was you." I said angrily. "You're the one that hates Leah. You're the only one that would do something to try to injure someone she's close to."

"Why did you defend me in there then?"

"I didn't want you to be made a fool out of. Or me. The fact that I'm dating someone as low as you."

"What about Kim Woo Bin, huh?" I noticed that Krystal was crying. "He hates Leah too because he can't be with her since she's always over you!"

"She's not the one that's over me. It's me that goes to her so why don't you try to injure me instead?" I asked.

"I can't do that! I love you D.O!." Krystal said.

"If you loved me you wouldn't do something like this." I said coldly. "You've changed Krystal."

"It's because of Leah!" Krystal cried.

I started to walk away ignoring her.

"I feel like you don't love me anymore!" Krystal followed me. "Ever since Leah came you've been really distant and it hurts."

"This isn't because of Leah." I turned around to look at her. "You yourself have always been this way. I don't know if I could be with you anymore."

"W-what!" Krystal ran towards me. "Kyung Soo, please. Saranghaeyeo." I love you.

I stepped away from her. "Stop. Stop saying that to me. You don't love me otherwise you wouldn't have done this."

"I did this because I love you! You're just not noticing it!" Krystal said as I walked away from her. "Kyung Soo! KYUNG SOO! D.O!!"

I sat on a bench in the park and sighed. Aish. I put my hands on my head and groaned. I can't believe I just did that. This isn't like me.

"Yah, that was pretty harsh. Don't you think?" A familiar voice said and sat down beside me.

"Get away from me." I said,

Woo Bin laughed. "Wow. What's happened to you D.O? You're usually all happy and smiley it made me sick. I like this new you."

"I said get away from me jerk." I repeated.

"What did you call me? A jerk?" Woo Bin chuckled. "You're the one that just broke up with the prettiest girl in school... After Leah."

"Yah!" I glared at Woo Bin. "You need to stay away from her."

Woo Bin raised his eyebrows. "Or what? You're going to beat me up? Do it. I've never seen you fight.. This should be interesting." He stood up in front me.

I stood up as well. "If you don't leave Leah alone I will hurt you."

"Wow you've moved on pretty fast Kyung Soo." Woo Bin smiled. "You better get to her before I do if that's what you have planned and that's why you broke up with Krystal.. Because once she's mine then you absolutely have no chance." Woo Bin smirked and walked away.

I watched him leave and clenched my fists tightly. Im not admitting my feelings for Leah. But that doesn't mean she's going to end up with Woo Bin any time soon. I won't allow it.
