AISH! Not again. I took off my shoe and examined the broken heel. Ugh why do I have to be so clumsy?

"Yah, kinchana?" Are you okay? I looked up and saw Kai coming up the stairs.

"Yeah. I'm fine. I just broke my shoe." I held up my shoe.

"Here." Kai took out a pair of sneakers from his backpack. He knelt down and took off my other shoe as he put my feet into the sneakers.

"I can manage." I laughed.

"Nah, I got it. This is my excuse to spend some time with you. Where have you been anyway?"

"What do you mean?" I asked

"Well besides class, I always see you with JB."

"I do have athletics with him. And we eat lunch together.." I admitted.

"Not today." Kai smiled as he finished tying my shoes.

"What?" I laughed.

"Come." He grabbed my arm.

"Wait, I'm supposed to meet up with JB." I said.

"What's going on? Are you guys dating?" He asked.

"No. What? No. Of course not. He's just been super nice to me."

"Aish, How did he find out?" Kai mumbled to himself.

"Find out what?" I asked.

"JB betted me since his last girlfriend that any girl I'm ever interested in, he'll ruin my chances with her just like I supposedly did with his girlfriend.'

Wait a minute. Does that mean Kai's interested in me?

"Wait... WHAT?" I yelled, "JB is only nice to me because of a bet? No wonder he called dibs!" Ugh I was pissed.

"He called dibs?" Kai started laughing, "Does he really think that'll stop me?" he winked as he grabbed my arm again and led me to the rooftop.

"Yah! What are we doing up here?" I asked.

"Stand here." Kai took my shoulders and led me to an area near the edge. He then walked towards the edge and stood onto the ledge.

"YAH! ARE YOU INSANE?" I ran to him.

"Go back." He put a hand up, "Im fine."

"What is this?" I asked.

"I need you to agree to something." he smiled.

"And what is that?"

"Agree to liking me." He said.

I burst into laughter. "Michuso?"

"Ok fine. At least agree to letting yourself like me. Like, if you see yourself falling for me, don't restrain. Tell me. Don't fight it."

"And what makes you and JB so confident that I'll fall for you guys?" I replied.

"Well, whenever you do fall for me, it'll be because you remembered how I was willing to fall for you. Literally." He said as he lifted a leg up.

"YAH!" I ran to him and as if it were in slow motion, and grabbed him as he was about to fall off the building and we both toppled over onto the roof floor, him ontop of me.

It took a moment to process, but I came to terms that Kai's face was less than an inch away from mine. We stared each other down for a few seconds until I pushed him off of me.

"Aish you really are crazy." I got up.

"SO do you agree?"

"What if I don't?" I replied.

"I'll just get up there again." He smiled.

"Yah! Don't you dare! Okay fine. I promise."

-JB-
AIsh where was that girl? No way did she stand me up. I walked up the stairs and saw a shoe on the stair step. I ran up the rest of the stairs until I reached the rooftop. I overheard some chatter as I peeked through the door.

"Promise to what?"

"I promise that when I fall for you, I won't fight it. And you'll be the first to know." Kara mumbled.

"Aigoo. You're so cute." Kai pinched.

Kara's cheeks before she slapped it away. Then she got up and started chasing him around the rooftop, the both of them laughing.

-Leah-
"Hey, where are you going?" Kara asked.

"I just need to go somewhere that will help me get my mind off of school." I answered as I grabbed my purse. "I won't be gone long."

"Chakaman. (Wait) Leah, why weren't you in Theatre Class today?" She questioned.

I paused. "I wasn't feeling well."

"Are you sure you don't want me to come with you?" Kara asked with uncertainty in her voice.

I nodded. "Yeah. I'm just going to go see a movie or something." I waved and left the apartment.

I took a deep breath after closing the door and started walking down the stairs.

What's going to happen when I go back to school on Monday? Is Woo Bin even going to be there? Wait.. why do I care if Woo Bin's in school or not?

And I never meant to hurt D.O's feelings. I just don't want Kara to get hurt, and if it means staying away from him then that's what I'll have to do.

The theatre I was heading too is supposedly very close to our house, according to the Internet. I reached an alleyway and checked my phone GPS. This alley should take me straight there. I looked around then headed into the alley.

Would Krystal really hurt Kara if I didn't stay away from D.O? She wouldn't. I mean what could she do? I was thinking of the many ways Krystal could hurt Kara when I heard someone whistle. I froze.

"What's a pretty girl doing out here all by herself?"

I gulped as I turned around and was greeted by three big men.

"Yah! Who are you?" I asked as I slowly started stepping back.

"We just want some fun. Come here." They gestured with their finger.

I grabbed the trash- can next to me and threw it at one of the men but sadly, I missed. "Get away from me! I'm going to call the cops!" I showed them my phone.

The men chuckled and started walking closer towards me. There was only one thing I could do now. Run.

I started running down the alley, but I was too slow. The three men easily caught up to me, and I was surrounded. I tried to break free from their circle, but they pushed me back.

"Let me go!" I cried.

"Oh don't cry." One of them put his hand on my face. "We just want to play."

I slapped his hand away from my face, but he held onto my hand tightly. He laughed, but at that moment somebody pushed him to the ground. His friends looked shocked and let go of me. I stepped away from them and looked to my right.

D.O stood in front of me and glared at the three guys. " Who do you think you guys are?"

The guy that D.O pushed stood up from the ground. His lip was bleeding and he glared at D.O. "Who are you? Her superman or something? Scram kid."

"How about you scram you old farts?" D.O replied and I looked at him shocked."Now are you going to leave or am I going to have to make you?"

All of the men laughed.

"You...Are going to make US leave? I'd like to see you try." They challenged.

"D.O...." I whispered.

"Just stay back Leah." D.O warned quietly.

He walked towards the guys and I watched in shock as he punched one of them in the gut. The man fell to the ground but the other came towards D.O. D.O fought him off long enough until he got hit from the back from the last man.

"D.O.!" I yelled.. D.O. managed to stand up and fought off the last man until they were all on the ground, bleeding.

"We'll come back." One of the men said. "Let's go."

I watched them leave the alley as I ran towards D.O who was bleeding.

"D.O..." I helped him up from the ground and he put his hand around my shoulder.

"Leah... are you okay?" He asked weakly. He staggered forward into my arms and I quickly held him so he wouldn't fall.

"Yes I'm fine! Why would you do that? You were alone!"

"You're fine? What a relief." And then he passed out.

-Woo Bin-
I was thinking about Krystal's proposition on my way home. Aish, why did I agree to ruin Leah's life? How is that going to make her like me? Maybe I shouldn't go with it. Yeah, that's what I'm going to do. I'm just going to leave Leah alone. I passed an alleyway, but back-tracked when I thought I saw three guys surrounding somebody. I glanced around and was about to walk into the alley when I saw somebody on the other side.

My eye's widened when I quickly recognized who it was. I quickly moved to the side of the wall. I saw D.O slowly moving towards the group.

Suddenly, D.O pushed one of the guys to the ground and I saw Leah in the center of the group.

"Leah." I whispered to myself. I felt myself getting angry as I watched D.O and the men fighting. I wanted to help, but I just couldn't move from my spot.

I watched as D.O fell to the ground and the guys ran out of the alley... leaving Leah by herself. I should've helped.. but I already lost my chance .

I have to tell Krystal. Am I crazy? She'd ruin Leah. Isn't that what I want? I pulled out my phone and texted Krystal.

We need to talk.

"MWO?! MWO RA GOO?!" Krystal yelled.

"I said.. I saw Leah and D.O. go home together."

"WHAT! Why did he go along with her?"

Because he was unconscious.

"I don't know. But they were talking about watching a movie at her house together." I lied.

"Jinjja? Yah this girl wants to die or something." Krystal crossed her arms across her chest.

"So what are you going to do?" i asked.

"Don't worry about it."

"Just whatever you do, don't hurt her. Do anything to keep her away from D.O. but do NOT lay a finger on her. Arasso?" I said sternly.

"Arasso, Arasso. Now, leave me be so I can think up something."

-Kara-
"Leah!" I gasped and ran towards her and D.O when I saw them at the door. I helped Leah carry an unconscious D.O to the couch and we slowly put him down. D.o groaned, but he didn't say anything.

"W-What happened?" I asked while grabbing the medical kit.

Leah didn't answer. She was nervously shaking her legs and was looking at D.O with a concerned look on her face.

I raised an eyebrow and sat down on the floor in front of D.O. "Leah. What aren't you telling me?"

"These guys... were messing with Me and D.O... he came and fought them off but he got hurt." Leah explained quietly.

"What!?" I asked in shock. "Are you okay?"

Leah nodded. "Yeah, but D.O..."

At that moment, D.O coughed and slowly opened his eyes. He smiled when he saw me. "Leah."

"D.O you're really crazy." Leah told him.

D.O looked around and tried to sit up right on the couch, but he didn't have the energy. "I'm glad you're okay Leah."

Leah looked annoyed. "Why is everyone so concerned about me when you're the one that got hit?"

"What they were planning to do to you is worse than what happened to me." D.O winced in pain as I dabbed some alcohol on his forhead.

The doorbell rang again and I handed Leah the towel. I opened the door and Jenny walked in smiling.

"Hello!" She greeted happily, but froze when she saw the situation in front of her. "L-leah? Who is that? What happened?"

I took Jenny into another room and quietly told her what happened. Jenny's eyes widened and she sat down on the bed.

"What was I thinking on leaving the house? I should've never brought Leah with me... I can't take care of her..."

"Yah, what are you saying?" I asked.

"You're her sister! Of course you can take care of her!"

Jenny glanced into the living room and asked, "Is she okay? Who's that boy with her?"

"She's fine." I told her. "The boy was the one that protected her."

"When I couldn't." Jenny muttered.

"Ani!" I said. "Everything's going to be okay Jenny. Arasso?"

"Arasso." Jenny grumbled and went back into the living room.

-Leah-
"Bye!" we waved to Jenny as she drove away.

"Yah, Leah." I turned around to face Kara.
"What's up?"

"Does Krystal know...what happened to D.O.?" she asked.

"No. Why?"

"I don't want her to get mad at you." Kara said.

"Kara. I can handle myself. Don't worry about me." I smiled.

"Arasso. Wait one sec. JB!" Kara called.
JB was walking with his earphones in as he turned to see Kara.

"What?" he asked.

"Why haven't you been answering my texts and calls?" Kara asked.

JB shrugged, "Haven't you had Kai to keep you busy?"

"Yah! If anyone should be mad, it should be me." Kara yelled.

"And why is that?" JB asked.

"Leah. I gotta go." She said as she grabbed his arm.

"Let's go." Kara walked JB to a more private area on the courtyard.

I began walking towards Newspaper when someone tripped me. I fell to the ground and my books fell all over the place.

"Yah! Watch where you're going!" I said as I stood up to meet the eyes of Kim Woo BIn.

"Woo Bin." I said.

"Oops." He said emotionlessly as he walked away.

"YAH KIM WOO BIN!" I called as I ran to him and grabbed his shoulder.

"Don't touch me Leah." He shook off my hand.

"Yeah Leah. Not every guy needs your daily dose of comfort." I turned around to see Krystal.

"What do you want now Krystal?'" I asked.

"Where were you last night?" she asked me.

"Mwo? (what) I was at home." I muttered.

"Woo Bin. Who did you tell me you saw Leah with yesterday?" Krystal asked.

"Leave me out of this." He mutterd as he walked away.

"Aish what's his problem?" she scoffed,

"Anyways. Were you or were you not with D.O. last night?"

"What?" I asked.

"Answer the question."

"I was." I said confidently before feeling a slap across my face. I placed my hand on my cheek that was now numb.

"You took him home too? What movie did you watch? Huh? Answer me!" She yelled.

"What? Movie? D.O. was unconscious. What do you mean?"

"How dumb do you think I am? I told you to stay away from my boyfriend but you couldn't. Now since I wouldn't be able to get away with hurting you, your cousin would be a great alternative." She smiled.

"Jessica. Tell Tiffany now." Krystal said as she walked away.

"What? What are you doing?" I felt my heart drop to my chest. I pulled out my phone to call Kara.

-JB-
"What do you want?" I said.

"Yah! Now that your bet's over you think you can be mean to me all of a sudden?"

"Bet?" I asked.

"Don't act clueless JB. You lied to me. You made it seem like Kai was the bad guy. You only pretended to like me for a bet. How could you?"

"Kara-

"Stop." She put her hand up.

"No. Let me explain. Yes, at first it was for the bet. But then we became friends and I genuinely like you now. Please don't hate me."

"You're actually not denying it?"

"No I wont lie to you." I said.

"Arasso. I don't hate you. I'm guessing you saw what happened on the rooftop
yesterday? I'm sorry. But don't blame Kai. He was just helping me out with my shoe and then we started joking around."

"Next time, come to me for help. I'll always be there for you." I put a hand on her shoulder.

"Arasso," she smiled, "Thank you. But right now I need to go get a band-aid."

"For what?"

"I have a bug bite on my knee." She laughed.

"You don't have to. I'll go."

"Really? I could go its okay." she said.

"No stay here. I'll be right back."

"OK thanks." she smiled.

I ran to the nurse's office which was across the school and picked up a hello-kitty band-aid before making my way back. Then, my phone started vibrating. I pulled it out of my pocket to realize it wasn't my phone. It was Kara's. I answered it to a very loud Leah.

"KARA!!" Leah sounded like she was going to cry.

"Leah, it's me JB! What's wrong?" I asked.

"Where's Kara?" she yelled through the phone.

"She's under the rooftop. Why?" I asked.

"JB she's in danger! Please just go to her!"

I hung up the phone and started sprinting towards where we were standing.

-Kara-
Yah What was taking him so long? I sat down on a rock and felt my pockets for my phone. Aish he still has my phone. I sighed as I swung my arms back and forth. Then out of nowhere I noticed someone running towards me.

"KARA! MOVE!" he yelled.
"Wha-?" Before I could finish my sentence, he grabbed me and pushed me to the ground with him shielding me.

I got up and saw a broken flowerpot all over the floor and lying on the ground, bleeding and unconscious....was Kai.
