Chapter Thirteen
Anxiety.
That is all.

"Can you remind me what we're doing here again?"
Ronnie's voice met the ears of everyone, turning a few heads towards the teenage male.
"Right," Kima started, glancing over at Caspian, who was waiting eagerly for the response, "we thought we would ask Caspian if he had seen anything, or has seen lately."
"Seen what?" Caspian asked, a few strands of his long blonde hair falling into his eyes.
"One of our," Lamia paused, looking at the humans, "human younglings has been taken by Fyrian and we were planning to ask around if anyone has seen Fyrian lately."
Caspian's face contorted to that of disgust at the Imp's name, scrunching his nose up a bit. "How'd the thing get out?"
"That is personal information," Kima responded immediately, shifting her eyes around at everyone. Caspian shrugged, rolling his eyes at Kima.
"Always keeping things from me, aren't you?" Caspian complained, grasping onto one of Kima's legs.
Said Dragon Rider attempted to shake him off, nearly kicking him in the face. She let out a huff of annoyance, allowing him to settle there for the time being.
"So," Caspian drawled, giving everyone a smile, "who are all your friends, Kima?"
"We have two humans, Robin, the younger, and Ronnie."
The two males gave Caspian a slight wave, Ronnie's less enthusiastic as Robin's.
"You know Lamia and Sinda."
The Dragon Riders bowed their heads lightly in response, each letting out a small "hello."
"And the fairies, Yoshii, Nikolai, and Adelram."
"Well you certainly brought me a party!" Caspian cried, clapping his hands together as he let go of Kima. "Oh this'll be so fun!"
"We are not planning to stay long," Kima told him, shifting her pack a bit. Caspian's face fell a bit but immediately brightened as he began to speak again.
"Well, you're here though, right? Might as well make the most of it!"

To say they had fun was an overstatement. All that went on was the nine of them sitting around a small fire until dusk, Caspian occasionally throwing a few pieces of fish to his Sea Orc, whom was named Camilia.
When Kima began to pack up her things in her bag, everyone followed suit. They didn't stay long with the merman, but Robin had a feeling that he would see him again.
They picked up their journey, heading out of the mermen's territory. Robin had learned a few things about them, namely the fact that they were all men. None of the people in this land had heard of mermaids, so he mainly kept that to himself.
The trek wasn't very long, though they were all a bit tired because of the time. The sky was a dark navy with hints of purple in the sky. Stars swirled around the sky, giving it an essence of fantasy. In Robin's fourteen years of living, he never dreamed he would end up in a land like this, but here he was, with Ronnie searching for Eriol. It wasn't the best situation to be found in, but the area was so calming that the two of them couldn't help but feel at peace.
Robin's eyes shifted over to the small form of Yoshii laying atop Ronnie's shoulder. The small fairy had resorted to comforting the male by staying with him at all times, and it seemed to be working. Ronnie wasn't nearly as worked up as Robin though he would've been at a time like this, and it was then where he was extremely grateful for Yoshii's comfort.
"Do we really know where we're going?" Robin asked out of the blue, startling a half-asleep pink haired fairy fluttering next to him. "I mean, like, no offense or anything but do we have any idea where Fyrian could be? It just seems like we're kind of aimlessly walking around the forest."
"Robin, you have to know that we're trying our hardest," Kima told him, yawning, "we may not know where Fyrian is but we know places we can look."
"Well that's rea-"
Robin was abruptly cut off by a loud roar coming from his left. Lamia instantly raised the large, pointed spear at her side, aiming it towards the noise. A loud rustle was heard from the bushes and everyone braced themselves. Kima and Sinda shielded the two humans, armed with a double edged sword and an axe while the only awake fairy, Adelram, had his hands on a small bottle of a black, bubbling substance. The roar sounded again as the ground rumbled beneath them, forcing Sinda to lose her balance.
The red-head shifted backwards a bit, nearly running into Ronnie. The human held out his hands, stabling her broad shoulders. The Dragon Rider turned towards him, giving him a nod of thanks before standing back into her position before him.
Once again, the roar and a rustle was heard when Lamia let out a cry of surprise.
Out of the forest came an enormous eight-footed dragon-like creature that lacked wings. Two large horns pointed out of the sides of its head and spikes littered its entire backside. The creature was at least five meters long and had a huge, swaying tail that just nearly hit Lamia in the face.
The tan dragon let out another loud cry as it charged towards the group, snarling. Its six deep black eyes were staring straight at them, covered by a glint of fury.
Robin braced for the worst, closing his eyes and holding the small pink-haired fairy that had decided to sleep on him close. He shuffled a bit closer to Ronnie, whom was also closing his eyes.
In a span of a few mere seconds, Robin was hit with a force like no other. The wind was knocked out of him immediately as he felt a sharp pain in his abdomen, letting out a small cry of pain.
He let out a choked gasp of surprise at the sight before him, completely filled with terror.

:)
AHAHA you're welcome.
The foreshadowing with Caspian is REALLLLLLLLL
anyways, enjoy this chapter of uselessness and random attempts at suspense.
I'm sorry.
It seems rushed and stuff, but I hope it's not really.
