Chapter Sixteen

I have nothing much to say...

This chapter has been inspired by music box stuff...

...I guess :)

"Any news o' your friend?"

Robin looked up from his spot in the grass, only to find Oberon standing right in front of him. "You know as much as I do," he mumbled in response.

Truthfully, ever since they buried Adelram near a small patch of bright green, sparkling flowers, Ronnie had been the only thing on Robin's mind. He even felt bad for momentarily forgetting about Eriol at times, but he couldn't help it.

The sight of Ronnie's maimed arm flashed through his dreams at night. A burning hatred for the large Basilisk had swelled within him, only fueling his desire to see his friends again.

For the past week, Robin hadn't even remembered his parents. Not a single thought of the two even came across him, and for that, he didn't feel bad at all.

"She took 'im to Ronan's, didn' she?" Oberon questioned him.

"I'm not entirely sure," Robin responded truthfully, shrugging. He glanced over to Yoshii, whom was in the middle of plucking up flowers from the ground and stacking them near Robin's feet. The brunette fairy looked back at him, smiling, then tugging a glimmering crown-shaped pink flower from the ground. "She told me to wait," he continued, "she said she'd come for us."

"Well she surely didn't forget you," Oberon spoke, hints of a chuckle lacing his tone.

"She wouldn't!" Yoshii called, dragging four different flowers over and stacking them on top of the others.

"Well, I assume yer right." Oberon began making his way around the house, raising a hand as a wave as he did so.

Robin merely shook his head, looking down at Yoshii. The fairy was then grappling with the vine-like stem of a blood red flower, making a futile attempt at tying it to the pink flower.

"What are you even doing?" Robin cocked his head to the side, raising a brow at the fairy's antics.

"Well, you see," Yoshii grunted out, accidentally tugging a leaf off of a stem, "I was going to- make a flower crown." One of the flowers flew out of his grasp, landing on Robin's shoulder. "But it doesn't- seem to be- working."

Robin plucked the flower from the shirt Oberon had let him borrow, letting it fall to the ground. The process was slow, making the flower seem nearly anti-gravitational. "Have you ever done it before?"

"No!" Yoshii yelped out the last bit when the flowers came tumbling from their pile, catching onto one of Yoshii's little boots. A flash of comical horror was evident in his eyes as he plopped to the ground, flowers covering him.

"I can tell," Robin laughed, picking up a few of the ones atop him.

Yoshii nodded, smiling. He began to sniffle, rubbing his nose. He let out a tiny, kitten-like sneeze as he came into contact with a small white flower. It seemed he couldn't stop as he sneezed on, said sneezes gradually becoming more forceful.

"You alright?" Robin inquired, merely staring at him.

"I think-" he sneezed, "I think I'm fine."

Robin stared at the tiny male skeptically, narrowing his eyes. Although, they immediately widened as Yoshii let out a loud, powerful sneeze. A huge, thick cloud of forest green smoke surrounded him, dissipating slowly.

As soon as it cleared, Yoshii no longer fluttered about a few feet above the ground. Rather, in his place, stood a six foot version of him, towering over Robin's sitting position.

"Y-yoshii?" Robin stuttered, backing up a bit.

"When'd you get so small?" Yoshii questioned innocently, tilting his head. Robin only shook his own, standing slowly from his position.

"J-just...look at yourself."

And, just as soon as Yoshii looked down at himself, a loud, high-pitch screech escaped his lips. "Oh my Ea!" he shouted, falling back onto the grass.

Robin covered his mouth, laughing lightly - albeit he was still in shock. "Did you know...you could do this?"

"Not at all!" Yoshii whimpered, shoving his hair out of his face. "I didn't- wow!"

"I have so many questions right now," Robin muttered. He jumped slightly as the door to Oberon's house slammed open, revealing Hermia with a chair gripped in her hands.

"Who's hurt?" She spoke quick, looking between the two. She continued on, finally looking back at Yoshii with equally wide eyes. "Oh."

Yoshii waved awkwardly, his brows furrowed. "I uh- I did a thing!"

"I see," Hermia murmured, lowering the chair. She made her way over to Yoshii, flicking her hair out of her face. "Oby owes me a pynce."

"A what?" Robin muttered.

"A pynce," Hermia repeated, looking back at him, "it's like...human...dollars? Is that what they are?"

"Yes..."

"Right. They equal roughly...ten of those. Ten human dollars."

"Oh."

Hermia nodded, a rather odd smile on her face. She turned back to Yoshii, bending down and circling him. "This is amazing."

"I know!" Yoshii piped up, shifting his legs into a crossed position.

"I've only seen two or three fairies ever with this ability," Hermia spoke, more to herself than anyone. "This will definitely come in handy."

"Is this normal?" Robin questioned, breaking Hermia out of her stupor.

"Well, it is most certainly not. Few fairies have ever been able to do this. Only one other currently living."

"Who's tha-" Yoshii began to question, though he stopped himself. His eyes widened once again, shaking his head. "Fyrian."

"You're absolutely correct," Hermia told him, standing straight. She lightly dusted off her dress, pushing her sleeves up.

"Right," Yoshii mumbled.

Robin began to delve into his own little world, never-ending questions running through his mind.

Is this what Fyrian meant by 'He's just like me?' he thought, pursing his lips. If so...what is he going to do with Eriol?
