Chapter Seventeen
That awkward moment when you're super excited for your own next chapter.
Sorry for the wait, my dudes.

"Is it reversible?"
Robin's head shot up from his half-asleep state at the sudden noise. Sat in front of him was Yoshii, acting as a lab rat for none other than Hermia herself. It was roughly two days after the fairy's power had been discovered, and the woman still hadn't figured out what would trigger Yoshii's re-transformation.
"I'm not entirely sure," Hermia mumbled, fairly focused on the back of the fairy's neck. She pinched an area of skin between her fingers which caused Yoshii to flinch and lean away from her. "Not there..."
Robin sighed, leaning back in his chair. He, along with Nikolai and Yoshii, was still waiting for the return of Kima. Ever since the incident, they hadn't heard a word from her nor the other Dragon Riders.
'How long has it been?' he questioned internally as he shifted in his seat. 'Days? Weeks? Months? No. Not months. Definitely not months.'
Robin had finally admitted to himself that he was confused and afraid. Everything had finally, truly caught up to him during their stay at Oberon's. His parents, Ronnie, everything here - it was all so unrealistic that he found himself poking and prodding himself just to see if he'd wake up.
He missed Ronnie, and Eriol too. He really missed home and most definitely he missed his parents - but there was no going back. Not until they found each other again.
"When do you suppose they'll return?" Yoshii piped up, flicking away Hermia's traveling hands. "Kima and the others, I mean. It's been days!"
"That's up to fate to determine." Hermia moved away from him, dusting herself off a bit. "I'm off to start the evening meal - please try to get the small one to join us tonight."
Yoshii and Robin both nodded in slight reluctance. Yoshii got up from his chair, moving over to sit right next to Robin.
It was awkward for the both of them.
"So..." Yoshii started, sinking down into the cushioned chair.
"So?" Robin mumbled back, beginning to close his eyes.
"So."
Robin chuckled a bit, shaking his head. He crossed his arms over his chest and rested his head against his own shoulder and sighed. He could hear Yoshii rustling a bit and a tiny bit of comfort pressing against him. He felt Yoshii slump against him, and he knew that he had fallen asleep just as he was about to.
He let his mind fully drift off and before he knew it, he was fast and calmly asleep.
-
A loud, abrupt crash awoke both Yoshii and Robin. A small chorus of whispering voices neared them and before Robin knew it, he was being lugged from his spot on the chair.
"ROBIN!" a voice shouted happily.
The male pushed himself out of the hands of the culprit, plopping onto the ground near their feet. His eyes adjusted slowly and he found himself staring into the happy face of Ronnie.
"Ro- Oh my God!" Robin nearly squeaked, jumping off of the ground. He stared into the face of the friend he hadn't seen in what felt like years...almost. A few seconds went by and the two simply began to hug each other.
Robin felt the brush of wood against his arm, and immediately remembered about Ronnie's own. He pulled away and scanned the boy up and down, finding most everything in tact and a new, wooden forearm where his flesh one once was.
"Isn't it cool," Ronnie chuckled, bringing it up for Robin to see.
It moved just like a regular arm and hand, with the exception of sharper joints. The arm was a dark brown and fit perfectly onto the rest of him.
"That's...impressive," Robin said, more so to himself than anyone around him.
He heard a bit of rustling behind him and saw Yoshii sitting up from his previous position. He rubbed his neck a bit and looked up at Robin and Ronnie.
"RONNIE!" he cried, jumping up from his seat. He ran over to the human male and practically tackled him to the ground.
"Who- Yoshii?" Ronnie sounded fairly shocked, which was understandable...
"RONNIE!" he yelled again.
"Wh-what happened?" Ronnie questioned, looking back at the Dragon Riders.
"I did a thing-" Yoshii nearly shouted, smiling brightly, "and this happened!" He motioned to himself, and laughed a bit childishly.
For a moment, everyone had forgotten what they were looking for. For one single moment, everyone didn't have a care in the world.
For a moment, everyone forgot about Eriol.
-
He couldn't see anything. Everything was pitch black and the only thing he could hear was shouting.
Shouting and then silence.
He couldn't move, either. Every time he tried, a sharp pain would shoot through his wrists. It was scary.
Nothing was familiar anymore. He wanted to see everyone again. He wanted sunlight and grass and everything that the world out there had to offer.
-
Hey hey.
Hey it's here.
Finally, after like a bajillion months of waiting, you get chapter seventeen.
The last little bit was a tad bit rushed, but I hope you like it anyways...
I feel like I always say that.
It's cause I do.
But, anyways, please enjoy the return of Ronnie and not his arm...
And that smol little Robin n Yoshii bromance moment amirite.
That was nice.
:D
