Emily grew up in the state of Texas, her mom from Mississippi and her dad from Louisiana. She grew up loving to read and wanting to become either a vet, author, or anesthesiologist. She learned that her true passions were singing and acting and writing. She wrote movies and songs, based off of her books. And she was ecstatic once she figured out that over 1,000 people read her fan fiction, Dauntless High. She was then sponsored by her father (the famous Bryan Shayne).
