I may not have ever experienced real love.
As no one has ever returned my feelings.
However this rejection was covered by a dove.
As this has given me some wisdom.

You need to know that there will come a time.
Where you cannot have them holding your heart any longer.
And that hope the size of a dime.
Has to be given up forever.

This moment is different for everybody
But eventually you need to accept it.
Sometimes they cannot love you truly.
Or you two just cannot be together.

As hard as it is to take this.
You cannot let them have your heart forever.
When they cannot give you theirs.

One day you may realise that you cannot wait around forever,
But perhaps one day you will both realise that you are meant to be together.
You never know.
Your love may grow.
