Step 1: basic sketch figure with thick outline

Step 2: add layer and do details in darker color with medium outline

Step 3: line art use small outline

Step 4: add eyes

Step 5: color the rest [tip: never use pure white behind the pupil in eyes, it's unnatural (I use a light grey/ light eggshell)]

Step 6: shading (I always go body/face, then eyes, and lastly hair)
