Here's their story.

Luke wasn't always the shut-in top-ranking gamer he is now, he used to be a college-bound high-schooler with a full-scholarship. What changed? One simple game, DigiRom.  An RPG game where you are paired with an NPC with new artificial emotion technology, you can chat with them, fight bosses with then and become friends. But what happens when Luke meets Rina, his NPC partner who despite her creepy look is a huge sweetheart, become more than friends? A sneaky, dimension-breaking romance!

But there's no such thing as a perfect life. To spend time with Rina and keep up his rank in the game, he dropped out of school and became a full-time gamer. As for Rina? Well, it's not exactly allowed for them to be meeting through dimensions but that won't stop them.
