Crysis Ceph part 3 for U.V.A

Gravity bomb launcher

USED BY
Ceph
Orange Scout

The Gravity Bomb Launcher is the only weapon used by Orange Scouts. It appears in Crysis Warhead.

Description

The firing mechanism is not seen, but the bombs are situated on the sholders of the Orange Scout. They resemble an orange about half the size of a human. The bombs are launched when the Scout comes near the player or it is killed. It inflicts serious damage and sometimes even kills a Nanosuit soldier with a single blast.
Tactics

The Gravity Bombs are destroyable and explode when shot but the player has to get to a distance, or he will be killed by the explosion. The bombs are slow and can be easily dodged by sprinting in Speed Mode. The Scout can be killed before reaching the player, causing the bombs to be launched far from the player.

The Alien Beam is a beam weapon used by certain Ceph Scouts in Crysis Warhead. The beam deals constant damage to anything caught in it.

The Alien Beam is a jagged, blue colored beam (though the Red Hunters version is purple color). The Alien Beam has the damage of the MOAC and the accuracy of a beam weapon. The beam however, unlike the other Ceph weapons that are based on coldness, is based on very high temperatures, as everything it hits starts to burn and vaporize. There are also small automatic turrets placed around the Red Hunter's horns and tail as point defenses. These beams do lesser damage, but they can fire together at a certain angle, making them potentially dangerous.
Tactics

Avoiding the beam is similar to dodge the MOAR beam, since it's a beam weapon. The beam deals constant damage to its target so it's advised to not standing still for too long. Try to find cover or eliminate the shooter using run and jump tactics before it can do too much damage. The Red Hunter's main beam is even more powerful and should be avoided as quickly as possible. Fortunately, the Hunter will charge its beam before firing. This gives the player some time to run away, around or find a cover.

Molecular Arrestor

USERS:
Various Ceph units
EFFECT:
Causes freeze ray

The Molecular Arrestor (MOAR) is an attachment that is placed on the MOAC. MOARs are also used as weapons by the Ceph.

Users

The MOAR attachment is only used by the MOAC.

The Ceph, however, have MOARs of various types. Ceph Troopers have small MOARs, while the Ceph Warrior has a massive one.

After charging for 1-2 seconds, the MOAR will shoot out a freeze ray. Any character or vehicle (except the VTOL) will be frozen by it. When frozen, any damage will cause the frozen object to shatter, resulting in an instant death. After several seconds of vigorously mashing the movement keys, players will become unfrozen but all vehicles and AI will be permanently frozen and effectively dead.
Advantage

Players can freeze several enemies and, while they're motionless, kill them without having to deal with them. Players can also freeze vehicles to prevent their enemy from moving.
Disadvantages

Some vehicles can still fire at the player when frozen but will shatter when getting hit. Players commanding the vehicle however won't (same for AI), allowing the enemy driver and its crew to remain unharmed.

Incinerator is a superheated plasma weapon that is featured in Crysis 3. It is dropped by Ceph Scorcher.

Specifics

This weapon is used by Scorchers; Ceph robots which are used in urban warfare. Its range is very limited and as such it can only be used for close-combat purposes.

It rapidly fires a stream of plasma fireballs in a steep arc, which limits its effective range. The fireballs will burn out quickly, restricting the range of the weapon further. It is the Ceph analogue to a conventional flamethrower. These rounds do very heavy damage against most targets requiring only one or two hits to kill most regular enemies, and can even damage Scorchers themselves. Additionally, shots will burn for a short period after hitting the ground, which can cause some damage to enemies that try to walk through the flames. It is an ideal weapon for suppressing and killing any target that gets within its small range, and generally useless otherwise.

Prophet rips it from a Scorcher, as seen in the 4th episode of "7 wonders of Crysis". He uses it then against Ceph, who are burned rather quickly. Like the Reaper Cannon, the X-PAC mortar, the Pinch Rifle and the Bolt Sniper the Incinerator will reduce the player's field of view.

It seems that the Incineratior is very effective against the Ceph and C.E.L.L at the same time. The magazine also is apparently very large, but the range has definite limitations.

If you don't have any electric bolts from the Predator Bow or a K-Volt, Scorchers can still be overloaded by hacking them.

Ceph

The Molecular Accelerator, also known as the MOAC, is a Ceph weapon in Crysis.

Nature

The MOAC and its counterpart, the MOAR, are alien weapons that are used by the Ceph Scouts and Troopers. They utilize extremely advanced technology, and due to their deadly and mysterious nature, they are considered dangerous by the U.S. Government during the events of Crysis.
Specifics

The MOAC extracts water vapor from the surrounding air, freezes it, and then fires the resultant shards of ice. Prophet was able to modify this weapon on the battlefield to be human compatible, appearing to use the carrying handles of the Hurricane Minigun. The scientists on the USS Constitution were amazed that he succeeded, considering that it would take weeks for a team of scientists to reverse-engineer the MOAC.

In multiplayer, there is a variant of the MOAC called the MOAR (Molecular Arrestor), which also collects atmospheric moisture, but instead of ice projectiles, it fires a stream of supercooled air at close range. Anyone hit by this is briefly incapacitated, and if the victim is hit by any other weapon during this period of vulnerability, they will shatter. This encourages teamwork, where one person carries the MOAR, and another a standard weapon.

The MOAC requires no ammunition, and has a high rate-of-fire. Its faster warm-up time compared to the minigun makes it quicker to use in combat. The MOAC is also an extremely effective multi-player weapon, being able to massacre a large group of players in a few bursts due to its high damage.
Disadvantages

The MOAC has a short cooldown time, which activates after a period of continuous fire. The MOAC also has a relatively short range, and is only truly effective when utilizing guerrilla tactics. As it can only be fired from the hip (on pc not consoles), accurately aiming is difficult on higher difficulties because the crosshair is not available. In Paradise Lost where the weapon is first made available, SMGs or assault rifles may be more effective for dealing with the high flying Ceph Scouts, as they allow one to aim down the sights.

Smart Missile is an automatically guided missile launcher used by the Ceph. Found in Crysis Warhead.

Smart Missiles are rounded, electrical missiles that guide themselves toward targets. Upon impact, the missiles will explode electrically, like plasma. The launchers are not clearly seen because they are mounted on the Red Hunter's "horns". While launching, the "horns" will pitch, upon reaching a decent degree, they begin launching missiles.

These missiles are destructible, but trying to shoot them can be wasteful. PAX gun and tactical attachment shots are recommended, because they have unlimited ammo.
Running around is another good choice because the missiles may explode on the ground away from the player. The missiles are highly accurate so you may take some damage even while running. Also the Speed Mode makes you vulnerable to attacks from other Ceph aliens.
Because of the high launch altitude, it is possible to take cover under a building with a roof or even behind some walls.

The Singularity Cannon is a weapon used by the Ceph. It fires a Black-Hole projectile that absorbs objects of a certain size inside upon impact and explosion.

Description

The Singularity Cannon is used by Scouts, Hunters, the Warrior and Earth vehicles military  Tanks. Singularity Cannons only appear visible on The Warrior, Singularity Tank. They have short or no barrel at all, while they have a muzzle break-like attachments around the muzzle, which move outward when charging. Singularity Cannons on tanks have a long barrel-like parts with cable around them connecting to the muzzle, its muzzlebreak does not move while firing.

Singularity Cannons on Warrior, and Tanks also have beam while firing, they warn attackers to beware about the incoming projectiles. The power of the cannon depends on who is firing it. Scouts and Hunters have weaker Singularity Cannons compared to the Warrior, Singularity Tank, and The Warship. Hunters fire their Singularity Cannons from their mount and Scouts fire from near MOAC.
Advantages

The Singularity Cannon is a very powerful weapon capable of destroying multiple targets in one shot, as well it is a Base Destroying Weapon in Multiplayer. The Cannon has a relatively long range and is good for Medium to Long Range shots. The fact that it has unlimited ammo gives it a higher advantage over the TAC tank.
Disadvantages

The Cannon takes a few seconds to spin up and may leave an opening for the enemy. The reload is slow and you are left vulnerable. Furthermore, the aiming beam always gives away the wielding player's position.
Trivia

The Tank's Singularity Cannon is the third most powerful weapon in Crysis, after the Warrior's Singularity Cannon and the most powerful being the TAC Cannon.

The experimental Plasma Accumulator Cannon (X-PAC) is an explosive weapon used by the Devastator units that appears in Crysis 3.

Specifics

The X-PAC mortar is a very powerful weapon which can destroy Ceph Devastators or Pingers with just a few rounds. Like other Ceph weaponry, it does not need to reload as it feeds energy from battery storage.

The X-PAC has 2 fire modes: The first mode fires a burst of 5 plasma bolts that act similarly to grenades; they travel in an arc and explode on impact. This is very effective for hosing down groups of enemies at medium to close range. It is also effective if all shots are fired directly at a single heavy target.

The second fire mode requires the user to hold down the trigger for a moment, at which point it releases a single large plasma bolt that acts like a missile which flies in a straight trajectory. This bolt is extremely powerful and has a wide blast radius, making it all-purpose and ideal for long range use, especially against high-value targets like turrets, vehicles, or walkers. Also, it doesn't hold much ammo, and it will be depleted after a few shots.

Like the Reaper Cannon, the Pinch Rifle, the Bolt Sniper, and the Incinerator, this weapon greatly reduces the user's field of view.

In Crysis 2, the X-PAC on devastators can instantly drain the nanosuit's energy.

The Reaper Cannon is a weapon featured in Crysis 3. It serves as an alien minigun, by shooting plasma bolts at a high rate of fire. Used by Devastators along with the X-PAC Mortar. The weapon reduces the players field of vision.

Specifics

The weapon has 2 fire modes; the first being the aforementioned minigun-like firing mechanism, and the second being a shotgun-esque spread shot, similar to the Pinch Rifle.

As a minigun-type weapon, it has a 'spin-up' time, meaning the user will have to hold the trigger down for a moment before it actually starts firing. It has surprisingly good accuracy for a full-auto weapon.

The Pinch Rifle is a Ceph support weapon featured in the game Crysis 3.

Overview

Pinch Rifles are the standard-issue weapons of Ceph troopers. Though troopers appear to use a more primitive version of the weapon in Crysis 2, it cannot actually be used by the player in that game; only becoming usable in Crysis 3. It is primarily used by Ceph Grunts and Ceph Reavers.

The weapon has two modes: The first mode shoots plasma bolts in automatic fire at a relatively slow rate, serving as a general-purpose assault rifle. This fire mode is well-rounded but effectiveness drops off steeply at long ranges, especially because it lacks a semi-auto firing mode or a scope.

The second mode acts like a shotgun, shooting several plasma bolts in a cone which is highly effective against close-range targets. When used efficiently, it is incredibly effective up-close, especially in multiplayer, it can bring nearby targets down more quickly than the standard fire mode. It can kill players in one hit in multiplayer at fair ranges, and outperforms even dedicated close-range weapons in the hands of a skilled user.

Like the Reaper Cannon, the Incinerator, the X-PAC Mortar, and the Bolt Sniper, it can reduce the player's field of view.

The Bolt Sniper is a Ceph-constructed weapon featured in Crysis 3, where it serves as an alien sniper rifle. It is the first Ceph weapon to be used in the game, first appearing in Chapter 2, where Prophet uses it to eliminate a CELL weapons system on a tower. Like the Pinch Rifle, the Reaper Cannon, the Incinerator and the X-PAC mortar it will reduce the player's field of view. Bolt snipers are wielded by Ceph Shadows.

Specifics

The Bolt Sniper fires an extremely powerful bolt of electricity that can destroy most enemies in a single hit, even the incredibly resistant Ceph Pinger if hit in its weak spot. Due to its electrical nature it can be fired at pools of water enemies may be standing in, and if they are standing within the blast radius, it will electrocute and kill them instantly, and if multiple enemies are close enough, the bolt will pass through all of them and kill them.

The fire rate is very low and the ammunition consumption per shot is very high. It comes with a very high range built-in scope which cannot be removed. As with all Ceph weapons, it cannot equip any attachments.
