* Inspired Playlist *

A/N: Below is the list of songs that I actually listen to during the writing of this project. Will be updating this whenever a new song becomes part of the playlist, and you could see some notes attributed to a few songs that actually touched me during the writing process.

This playlist is also compiled in Spotify under the playlist of "#ArtificialHorizon".

* 1-800-273-8255 by Logic ft. Alessia Cara & Khalid.
This title of the song is actually the number of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, formerly the American National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. To be fair, there was no trigger warning that any of the characters in the story had shown any suicidal intention; but the song resonated to me throughout the writing of the story because, in a sense, for the Reader, she had accused of César's intention to sacrifice his life. It was a good reflection of Chapter XIX - Field of Vision, and the Reader be assured by Capt. Villamor.

* Again by Dominique Simone.

* Aking Maria Clara by Sugarcane ft. jikamarie.
There's a respective line on the song that actually mirrored a scene in the story: "Magulong mundo'y tatakasan". And as the story was all set leading to the Philippines being part of the Second World War, it was both César and the Reader's real intention to run away from all of it; however, both their duties call them to be on the frontlines of the war.

* All the Lights by By The Coast.
One of the songs that I definitely have in repeat while writing the last few chapters. The melodrama of the songs of By The Coast adds some flavor and mood for those lines.

* All That You Are by Solid Audioworks.

* All Through the Night by Sleeping At Last.

* Already Gone by Sleeping At Last.

* Bad Blood by Welshly Arms.

* Baka Sakali by Ben&Ben ft. Ebe Dancel.

* Battle Cry by Imagine Dragons.

* Battlefield by SVRCINA.

* Bawat Daan by Ebe Dancel.

* Beautiful Disguise by Picture Me Broken.

* Beautifully Unfinished by Ella Henderson.

* Before You Go by Lewis Capaldi.

* Be Free by King Dude ft. Chelsea Wolfe.

* Birds by Imagine Dragons.

* Blood // Water by grandson.

* Born for This by Royal Deluxe.

* Calm by Nathan Colberg.

* Caves by Haux.

* Ceasefire by for KING & COUNTRY.

* The Chain - 2004 Remaster by Fleetwood Mac.

* Cinema - Acoustic by Gary Go.

* Come Alive by Foo Fighters.

* Dangerous by Royal Deluxe.
One of the songs that I actually love as it reminded me of my first solo; hence, its upbeat music, like those few others in this list, were like the soundtrack of the Sixth Pursuit Squadron in the story.

* Dapit-Hapon by Ebe Dancel.

* Darling by Adam Barnes.
One of the songs that I attributed for the Reader and César. A respective lyric from the song was highly a recurring theme in the story, too; though one would need to squint to fully understand it.

* Dreaming of You by By The Coast.
Definitely one of those songs that heavily inspired the story in total; but very much has a lasting impact at the ending of the story as I keep it in repeat for those last moments.

* Dream's Lullaby by Larri Bea.

* Dynasty by MIIA.

* Empires by Ruelle.

* Everything by Secret Nation.

* Everything I Need by Skylar Grey.

* Find Home by The Honey Trees.

* Flightless Bird, American Mouth by Iron & Wine.

* Follow You by Imagine Dragons.

* Game of Survival by Ruelle.

* Give Me Your Forever by Zack Tabudlo.

* Glimpse of Us by Joji.

* Golden by Scars On 45.

* Happiest Year by Jaymes Young.

* Heaven by Natalia Kills.
There's a respective line on this song: *SPOILER!* "I know heaven must be beautiful right now. Since they got you, babe." So, you know why... *SPOILER ENDS!*

* Heavenly by Cigarettes After Sex.
A song introduced to me by my dear friend, and now had been part of my inspired playlist for stories with a heavier tone of romance compared to my usual pinch of it.

* Heroes by Zayde Wølf.

* The Highest Tide by The Wealthy West.

* Home by Secret Nation.

* Huling Sandali by December Avenue.

* I Ain't Worried by OneRepublic.
Ever since this song had been introduced in Top Gun: Maverick, it had been tied to flying itself. And since this story was heavily inspired by flying, it was only fitting to earn a spot on this playlist.

* I Get to Love You by Ruelle.

* Ilang Tulog Na Lang by Ben&Ben.

* I'm Not Afraid by Tommee Profitt ft. Wondra.

* I'm Yours by Secret Nation.
This was a match along with another Secret Nation song entitled "You Are Mine". Definitely one of those that inspired the story entirely with how it had been a recurring motif for César and the Reader.

* In This Shirt by The Irrepressibles.

* Just Like You - Tom Player Remix by Celldweller ft. Tom Player.

* King And Lionheart by Of Monsters and Men.

* Kingdom Fall by Claire Wyndham.

* Kings and Queens and Vagabonds by Ellem.

* Lakambini - Version 1 by Ebe Dancel.
I know that this song was some sort of a fictional letter made by Andres Bonifacio to Gregoria de Jesus. (Did you know that my maternal great-grandmother was a Bonifacio? And my maternal great-grandmother was also a Del Pilar? And my paternal great-grandmother was a Famy? And that my saint day was St. Gregory the Great, that I was almost named "Gregoria"? Anyway!!!) I guess you knew that it was some sort of a trademark of mine that our guys left a letter. So, César was no different. But did you know, that César was actually writing a last letter for the Reader ever since they've been separated at the outbreak of the Second World War? And he was burning each and every letter, only to replace it with a most recent one? Yes, there was about to be a bonus chapter of this soon!

* Legend by The Score.
Along with the song "Dangerous" by Royal Deluxe, this was also used for our batch's compilation of our first solo. With both having a special place in my heart, it was only fitting to also correlate such songs to the Sixth Pursuit Squadron.

* Legendary by Welshly Arms.

* Legends Never Die by League of Legends ft. Against The Current.
This song was actually more of the entire reason that this story had seen the light of day; because César Basa was remembered and honored. But again, was it even necessary to *ahem* die *ahem* in such a way before being given all that distinction?

* Leonora by Sugarcane.
The Reader's name in the original writing had been "Leonor". Of course, in my draft, she had a name! Additionally, she also had a name in order for my dear friend to read it without having to insert himself (yeah, it was because he found it awkward to insert himself! And sadly, he never got to read it at all...) Anyway, all my reader-insert story had the Reader a name. Yes, I was yet to reveal the Reader's name from "Dead Reckoning"... Anyway, upon listening to this song, it suddenly became part of the inspired playlist.
But, you're surely asking me, why did I named the Reader "Leonor" in the beginning at all? The Reader had a name already even before the song was released. (Remember, I was writing this story as early as February 2023, and the song was released on April 2023.) It was because I wanted some sort of a Spanish-sounding name still, and the name meant "light". I have too many characters from my novels with the name meaning "light"; to be honest, there was a variety of them from Eleanor, Lucinda, Helen, and the likes.

* Lifetime by Ben&Ben.

* Light by Sleeping At Last.

* Live Like Legends by Ruelle.

* Living Legend by Club Danger.

* Love Me For What I Am by Carpenters.
This song actually inspired Chapter XIX - Field of Vision and Chapter XX - Line of Position.

* Make You Feel by Alina Baraz ft. Galimatias.

* March: Hills to Climb by Tim Myers.

* Miracle by The Score.

* My Eyes by The Lumineers.

* Night Bus by Gabrielle Aplin.
There's a line from this song that actually inspired the last few chapters: "Suddenly, I know that I'm on my way home to you for the last time". Yeah, I was a sucker for songs with such heartbreaking lyrics. Because I enjoy songs based on their tune and lyrics.

* Oceans Apart by Secret Nation.

* October: Written in the Stars by Tim Myers.
As it was a recurring theme for the Reader and César that they both believed that their story was actually fated, destined, and as the title states, written in the stars. Also, the fact that they always considered to belong with one another.

* The Ones We Once Loved by Ben&Ben.

* On My Way by Boyce Avenue.

* Paint It, Black by Ciara.

* Paraluman by Adie.
As we've read in the Bonus Chapter - Touchdown, that this love story involving the Reader and César was definitely him falling in love at first sight. Well, you would be asking me the next: how about the Reader and Elian? How did it develop to that? Just watch out for it.

* Part of Me by By The Coast.
One of the songs that I have in repeat for the last few chapters of the story. Definitely worth it and fitting for the mood.

* Pasilyo by SunKissed Lola.
I know. The Reader and César deserved this type of ending. However, there were only one ending for this story. So, what do you want: them to not be married or them be married, when César was still to *SPOILER!* die *SPOILER END!* in the end? Hmm... I guessed, I chose the most miserable route. Once again, I loved the angst. :P

* Paubaya by Moira Dela Torre.
Though there hadn't been any third party or the so-called second male lead for the Reader to be in love at all. (Compared to that of Dead Reckoning because of Isidro's existence...), the fact that this song managed to have a place on this playlist was because of César's letter at all! If you haven't read it yet, well, you'll understand why. Because César definitely gave that blessing...

* Play with Fire by Sam Tineesz ft. Yacht Money.

* Ready Set Let's Go by Sam Tinnesz.

* Restless Heart by Jessie Early.
Upon hearing the song, it instantly reminded me of César and the Reader because... well, you would know why when things came to an end.

* Revolution by The Score.

* Run to You by Lea Michele.

* Sa Susunod na Habang Buhay by Ben&Ben.

* Scared to Death by KZ Tandingan.

* Scars by Boy Epic.

* Silhouette by Aquilo.

* Smooth Operator by sade.

* Soldier by Fleurie ft. Tommee Profitt.

* Solitaire by Carpenters.

* Speed of Sound by Coldplay.

* Style by Taylor Swift.
It was all because of LaliLumine that this song became part of the playlist. Let's be honest, and as I always was, I actually thought that César was much more handsome than Goyo. Okay, I might be bias because he was a pilot; but still... just looked at that facial structure, that stance, that smile, and I would even say that I was also attracted due to his almost genius mind. The very reason that I actually prompted César to be an INTJ.

* Tagpuan by Moira Dela Torre.

* Take Me Home by By The Coast.
A fitting song that I have quite in repeat just by the last chapters of the story. Definitely added to the mood; after all, any song of By The Coast had that impact for those respective chapters.

* Tether Me by Galleaux.

* Things We Lost In The Fire by Bastille.

* Til Death Do Us Part by Kait Weston.

* Time of Our Lives by Tyrone Wells.

* To Build a Home by Grace Page.

* Tomorrow We Fight by Tommee Profitt ft. SVRCINA.

* To the Bone by Pamungkas.
This was actually the favorite song of my Airbus A320 training partner. (Hello, Gelo!) And I thanked him for having introduced this song to me. It now became part of my always playlist.

* Touch The Sky by Hillsong UNITED.

* Trouble I'm In by Twinbed.

* Turning Page by Sleeping At Last.

* Two by Sleeping At Last.

* Unang Sayaw by NOBITA.
This actually reminded me of that flashback scene in Chapter XLVII - Coriolis Force. If you've already read that respective chapter, you'll know why!

* Unspoken by Welshly Arms.

* Up Down by Boy Epic.

* Venus by Sleeping At Last.

* Wake Up by Arcade Fire.

* Wake Up World by UNSECRET ft. Ruelle.

* What Hurts The Most by Rascal Flatts.

* When It's All Over by RAIGN.

* Wicked Games by The Weeknd.

* Work of Art by Benson Boone.

* X by Welshly Arms.

* You by Carpenters.

* You Are Mine by Secret Nation ft. Holley Maher.
A match to that of another Secret Nation song mentioned above, "I'm Yours", which had been the first few songs that had been up there during the writing process. As a response to that other song, it is also a very recurring motif for César and the Reader.

* You Are My Release by Altitude Music.

* You Are The Reason by Calum Scott.
