I honestly have NO idea how to draw talons. If you look at some of my art that i've done, the talons are either blob shapes or cat based. 

The talons on this are cat-blob like.

I suggest you look at Cyprus on youtube, or look up cat paws.

Cat paws (for me at least) seem and are an easy replacement for dragon talons and can be pretty simple to draw at times.

As you can see, I spend way more time looking at cat paw references than dragon ones, but they're sooooooo much easier to draw. And I don't often draw them as good as the ones in the picture. 

Any good talons/paws that I draw probably come with a stroke of insperation/decent talent, or the pen takes control.
