Here is my entry for drawgonite's Egg Contest! (Those are my two OCs, Fenic and Rex). Surprisingly I did it traditional, because I usually digitalize things. Also, please excuse the inking and coloring 😅.

In the tribe of the Seawings, an island will change to winter within time. Waters will freeze, nature will shatter. The tree of coral thrives within the day, hides within the night.

(Rex's PoV)

I walked along the worn forest trail, trying to catch a whiff of prey. With my head high in the air, I didn't notice the object protruding from the ground, right in my path. A few more steps left me falling to the ground, waking a sleeping Fenic in the process. After being jolted to the ground Fenic looked up annoyed and complained, "Hey, why'd you do that. You woke me from my nap!" I rolled my eyes and replied,"Well, if you were walking it wouldn't of happened." She looked away with a humph and asked,"What did happen anyway." "I don't know..." I said, looking behind us; catching sight of something, I finished,"But it might have to do with that." Taking it in my paws, I was surprised to see a pale blue egg with designs of some sort decorating the shell. "What is it?" Fenic questioned, looking confusedly at the huge egg. Exasperated, I replied,"It's an egg, genius." Looking down at it I realized we couldn't just leave it, alone in the forest... we had the take it with us! Making up my mind I stated,"And we're taking it with us."
