Why do ppl draw girls like this sometimes

For instance:

if you follow the legs up to where the hip should be the hips are super frikin wide and a ridiculous thigh gap that's bigger than the legs themselves

I see this so much and nobody says anything

If u take their clothes off they look like this

Whyyyyyyy would u draw ppl like dat ur torturing the poor characters
