I was bored the other day so I drew this. It pretty much sums up his character, even though it's pretty sad... 😨 I promise I'll draw another one for the second one, though! One that's much happier! :)

I listened to a lot of 21 Pilots while drawing it, but mainly the song "Kitchen Sink." If you haven't listened to it before, you should! Don't judge it too quickly, because it's a very relatable song, one that I myself relate to (most of it at least, lol) and several parts describe this character's struggles.

While drawing this, I also realized that Alex could represent a lot of teens out there who suffer from depression and have certain kinds of social anxiety. The paper he's holding has the words "Don't leave me alone" written on them, showing that no matter how much he tells people that he's okay and to leave him alone, he really wants the opposite. In the song I mentioned, during the sort-of chorus, you hear someone repeatedly singing "Go away . . . Leave me alone . . ." But near the end, they sing instead in a desperate tone, "Don't leave me alone!" which is commonly what people mean deep down when they are depressed and tell people to go away. I have to admit that I'm one of those people. 👀
