Chapter 18: Never Ever

RIELLA

Nandito ako ngayon sa Guidance Counselor, having a meeting with the Board of Directors of the school. Dad also attended because of being the chairman of the school. Even though I disagree to attend this, still my dad force me. And so I'm stuck with these old people.

"Mr. Faye, I understand you wanted to turn this school into a dorm school because of the killings that are happening near the school and for the cases of the unsolved missing students. But can't we just make this school high security instead of using a lot of money?" The Treasurer explained, showing the bills of the school in the projector. Many of them nodded in agreement but my dad shook his head.

"This school is already a high-security school, and money isn't a problem. Its the safety of our students." Dad said in an authorized voice, making the others froze to their seat.

Mrs. Moselle was about to speak when somebody opened the door, leaving our gaze in the projector and fixated at the people who arrived.

My dad stood with a smile, "Ah! Mi amigos and amigas! Welcome, have a seat." My dad gestured them and so they did. The others looked at my dad questionably, but my dad answered their questions going on their minds. I looked at our new arrived allies, a lady in mid-fourties, a man as same as age as dad, and an old couple in their sixties.

My dad cleared his throat, causing me to switch his gaze into him, "Let me introduce to you, the new members of the Board of Directors." He said and the four of them stood, facing us with a blank expression.

Napapanganga naman ako ng inilabas nila ang kanilang mga baril mula sa kanilang bulsa at tinutukan ang Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer at Auditor. I eyed my dad but he just shrugged, also astonished by these four.

"Sorry for the surprise Henderson, but we don't need them anymore." The woman in her fourties said with a smirk.

"Let's just kill them." The man in his fifties suggested. Namutla naman sila sa narinig sa lalaking iyon.

"No it'll be a waste, let's just used them as an experiment." An old man said that caused his wife to smile, "I agree! Let's just kill them first and burry them. They'll never be found in that way."

"P-Please... Maawa k-kay--" The former secretary couldn't finish her statement for she was shot in the head. The remaining of them gasped and looked at us frightened.

"Hold up, wala akong naaalalang ganito sa plano. And also, who the hell are you?!" I asked and pointed them. They looked at me as if they didn't recognized me in this room the whole time.

"Who is this kid?" They asked in unison while eyeing as if they want to kill me. I let out a nervous scowl before sending my dad a help looked.

"My friends, this is my daughter Riella Fay--" Dad was cut off when an old lady hugged me tight like she was crushing me to life.

"Ooh! It's so nice to see you!" She squealed in an old woman voice and let me go. "I'm Cecilia, but just call me lola Cecil." She said. I gave her an awkward smile before inching away from her, terrified by her strength despise her age.

The woman in her fourties looked at me from head to toe, she hummed in agreement. "Hm, you do resemble your mother's features." She said and took my hand to shake it. "Just call me Tita Jewel." I gave her a polite smile before also inching away. The other two gentlemen only eyed me, then back to my dad.

"It's nice to meet your daughter, but she seemed to be normal." They two of them nodded thoughtfully. My eyebrows creased in confusion.

My dad gave a hearty laugh. "Be careful my amigos. She may look innocent on the outside, but she's dangerous on the inside. Don't let her looks deceived you my friend." Dad said and sat on his chair. We all noticed the remaining quiet, completely out of place. And that's when I decided to bring my gun out and shoot them all.

4 gunshots filled the room.

Our new members smiled in approval. "That's what I'm talking about!" The man in his fourties said and walked towards me. He aggressively took my hand and shook it. "Consider me as your Tito, Tito Gerard."

"And I'm Lolo Sam." Said the old man with a childish wave and grin.

"Now, let's get down to business. Shall we?" My dad said before gesturing us to sit.

"Guys! Narinig nyo na ba 'yong chismis?" Julie said in a low tone.

"I don't care." Damion said and continued playing with his phone.

"Same." I said and sip on my drink.

Napabuga naman ng hangin si Julie, "Fine, pero sasabihin ko parin kahit wala kayong pake. Naririnig ko nitong mga nakaraang araw na gagawing Dorm school ang R Academy."

Nagkatinginan naman kami ni Damion sa narinig. Pinagpatuloy naman ni Julie ang kanyang sinasabi, "I don't know why pero siguro na-alarma na ang school sa mga nawawalang estudyante." Julie sighed, "Grabe, may modus ng pangingidnap na ngayon!" She exclaimed and continued. "Why do people these days kidnapped and kill people like nothing? Wala na ba silang mga puso?!"

Nakaramdam naman ako nang lungkot sa sinabi nya. A hint of sadness showed in my face. Ano kayang mangyayari kapag nalaman ni Julie ang totoo?

"I think it's the student's fault kung bakit sila na-kidnapped. I mean, they're just being careless." Damion butted, glancing at me before returning his gaze to his phone.

"Ah basta! I would never forgive them!" She said before biting her Burger furiously. Maya-Maya lang ay nabilaukan na sya kaya naman natatawa akong binigyan sya ng tubig despite of feeling guilty.

"You eat like a pig." Damion snorted. Julie glared at him.

"Teka, nasaan nga pala si Xander?" She asked while trying to spot something in this cafeteria. "I just saw him attended our first class kanina."

Oh, so he attended our first class. I didn't know. "Because you we're sleeping!" Red pointed out but I just ignored him.

Julie was about to asked me something ng bigla na lamang may lumipad na plato sa loob ng canteen, hitting the wall. It broke into pieces and everybody watched in shock bago tumingin sa pinanggalingan nito.

The girl in pigtails screamed in disgust, "Ew! May ipis!" That's we're we saw a flying cockroach in the air. Most of the girls screamed, including Julie and I. The boys laugh but started to run when it fly to their direction. Nagsimula ng magkagulo ang lahat not until our school's teacher's pet came, together with the principal.

"MAG SITIGIL KAYONG LAHAT!" We froze right at the stop when we heard our principal roared. Walang ni isang nagsalita and just waited for our principal to speak. Nilapitan naman nya ang ipis na palipad-lipad. That's when we noticed a white thread na nakatali dito. Pinagmasadan naman ng aming principal ang pekeng ipis na nasa kanyang kamay.

"SINO ANG GUMAWA NITO??!" Nagsitinginan ka-agad kami sa babaeng unang nakakita nito right after she asked. The girl smiled sheepishly but our principal made that smile annoyed her.

"Follow me." Napabagsak naman sa balikat ang babaeng 'yon bago sundan ang aming principal at estudyanteng kasama nito.

Someone suddenly grabbed me papalabas sa canteen, I looked around and its Xander. Hindi nako nakapag-react pa ng kaladkadin nya ko papalabas ng campus. Nagpatuloy lang kami sa paglalakad pero napahinto ako ng mapansing papalabas na kami ng school.

Malungkot nya kong tinignan. I stared at him blankly. My mind can't still forgot the words he told me yesterday. He's so immature! I hate him! Binawi ko naman ang braso ko mula sa kanyang kamay.

"I told you, stay away from me." I said in a cold tone.

"But you never told me to--"

"--Stop. Just stop." I said raising my hand in a hold gesture. "Pagod na ko."

"Pagod ka na? Then let's go to bed." Namula naman ako sa sinabi nya and so I slapped him in the face.

"Aww--Shit!"

Napahawak naman sya sa pisngi nya, eying me questionably. "Pervert!" I hissed at him before turning away. I saw him blushed like an idiot before walking away.

"W-Wa-Wait! That's not what I meant!" He stuttered while looking Red like a tomato.

"Just stop already! I'm tired for this day!" I said while backing away from him.

"Then come with me." Napakunoot naman ang noo ko sa sinabi nya.

"Sabi ko pagod na ko." 

"Inulit." Napataas naman ang kilay ko sa sinabi nya.

"Look. Just stay away..." I turned around to take a leave pero--

"Xander! Ano ba!" Pinaghahampas ko ang likod nya habang buhat-buhat nya ko sa balikat nya.

"Not until you stop talking." Napatahimik naman ako sa sinabi nya. Nagpatuloy lang sya sa paglalakad habang walang ni isang salita ang lumabas sa aking bibig. Maya-Maya lang ay hindi na 'ko nakapag-pigil pa.

"Hindi na 'ko nagsasalita kaya ibaba mo na ko."

"Eh anong ginagawa mo ngayon?" I groaned in frustration dahil sa sinabi nya. God he's acting so childish!

Bigla naman nya 'kong pinasok sa isang pulang Ferrari. Nagulantang naman ako at hindi na nakapag-react. Nang makapasok sya sa driver seat ay hinarap ko sya.

"May kotse ka?! You freaking have a Ferrari??!"

"Syempre naman, at kung hindi mo na maalala, this is the car when I first drive it with you." He said and drove away from out school.

Iniiwas ko naman ang tingin ko at tumingin na lamang sa bintana. Nagkaroon ng panandaliang katahimikan bago sya muling magsalita.

"This is the car where you confessed something to me."

"This is the car when you talk to me drunkenly."

"This is the car where we shared our first kiss..." Napalingon naman ka agad ako sa kanya. He gaze we're fixated in the road and focus on driving. Thud-Thud-Thud we're the only sound I could here. I felt butterflies in my stomach. I'm confused. What's happening to me? Why am I going crazy?

"I'm your first kiss?" I asked before I could even stop my self. I punished my tongue by biting it for asking a dumb question. Shit, what we're you doing Riella?

Bigla naman syang napangiwi sa sinabi ko, the turned to me and gave me a sheepish smile.

"He...He...He, hindi pala." Bigla namang nawala ang mga bagay na nararamdaman ko sa aking katawan. I could hear clear again. I frowned at his answer and looked away. Pero napangiti naman ako ng marinig kong muli syang magsalita.

"But I'm glad that I'm your first."

"What. The. Hell." Those three words we're the only words I could tell when he showed me the place we went.

It's only 7:00 but the stars in the sky we're sparkling bright. It looks like he brought me to a secret hill since we're the only ones who's here. This place is full of trees and peaceful just like the Haynes Forest, but the only thing nawala sa gubat na iyon ay ang mga sandamakmak na bituin sa langit.

I looked at Xander only to find him staring at me with a smile. A smile crept on my lips, bigla naman akong umiwas ng tingin. Bakit ka ngumingiti? Galit ka sa kanya. Snap out of it Riella!

Umupo sya sa damuhan beside where I was standing so I decided to sit, relax and enjoy the view. I shuddered when a cold breeze passes through me. I rubbed my arms but I stopped when I felt a cloth being put by my shoulder.

It's Xander's jacket.

Tumahimik na lang ako and looked at the stars. I tried to focus my gaze at the stars but I couldn't for he was now hugging me.

"W-What are you doing?" I exhaled sharply when I felt his arms hugging me. My heart started to beat again. He smiled at my question.

"Manipis lang ang jacket ko. My arms we're warmer than my jacket." He said and tightened the hug.

Help. Somebody help, I think I'll die in a heart attack. Sobrang bilis ng tibok na puso ko.

"I-I think I need a doctor..." I said out of nowhere. He's eyes darted to mine.

"Why?"

"I--My heart is acting strange." He let out a soft chuckle.

"You don't need a doctor. Ako lang ang kailangan mo." Sabi nya at humiga sa damuhan, napahiga rin ako not because I want to but because he's hugging me.

"You don't need him. You need your knife.." Pagsabat ni Red but I just ignored him.

I sighed.

It felt comfortable despite the grassy grass. It felt warm despite the cold weather. If felt nice and right Even though everything's wrong. I felt safe and secured despite the dangers coming in my life.

"Ms. Beautiful.." It felt nice him calling me that. I hummed softly in response as I started to drift asleep in this special moment.

"Ayoko na sa Earth..." I chuckled softly as I felt sleepy.

Wait. Why am I feeling sleepy?

My eyes started to close but I heard his voice before everything turned black.

"Because I want to be a part of your world. Ikaw lang at ako."

But It's not his voice I heard before I fell asleep, it was Red's.

"But he can't be a part of your world. You know that, Riella."

XANDER

I gently brushed my fingers in her hair. Napangiti ako dahil sa mala-anghel nyang mukha. Pero napawi ang aking ngiti ng maalala ang dapat kong gawin.

I sighed.

This is bad. I'm starting to fall for her.

Author's Note:

I'm very sorry for the short update :( pero i-tr-try kong habaan ng update in the next chapter. Meanwhile, nagkakaroon ng love triangle sa story and supernatural shits. Hindi ko alam pero bigla na lamang tong nag pop out sa isip ko so don't blame me, blame my mind!
