As promised, I give you information on one of my newest OCs, Caroline!

Species: um... idek...
Homeworld: The Other World
Age: In technical official sense, between a few months and a year as of yet. Her exact date of "birth" is unknown, and she herself doesn't know all the numbers.

Appearance
As with any Other World monster, the Beldam used scratch and determination to create her best monster yet.

To start off, Caroline's head is the same size as a normal human's. However, that's where the similarities pretty much end. Her blue hair is made of thin strands of string and thread, somehow almost mimicking real human hair at a glance. It's not exactly known what material specifically makes up Caroline's head, but it is light yet near indestructible and has a porcelain feel to it. Half of Caroline's face is her gaping, never-closing mouth with her six sharp teeth slightly sticking out, while the other half of her face is taken up by her massive vermilion button eyes.

Caroline's limbs are created with metal material. They are elongated for a long reach and the "elbows" are like plastic-rubber connecting the upper and lower arms. Her palm is like an iron ball bearing, but it is just smaller then the palm of a human hand. The fingers are needle thin and much longer then a human's, with the joints again connected by a plastic-rubber material. Caroline's "shoulder blades" are made of a metallic material with fake gold plating. Her legs and (presumably) her feet are made of the same materials as the arms and hands, so it seems.

Caroline's "skin" is entirely made of burlap fabric. There is a cut down the torso which extends all the way down to the waist, with velcro straps keeping the cut closed. Inside the body is what can best be described as Caroline's endoskeleton. This endoskeleton seems to be made of the same material as the arms and legs, and is just as thin. The rib cage can open up and move like individual fingers, as if it was built to grab and hold something...

Personality
Caroline has one word that can describe much of her actions, motivations, and even reasoning to an extent: Curiosity. Since she is from the Other World, Caroline is highly curious and intrigued by the Real World. She'll collect things that catch her "eye" and usually keeps them tucked away somewhere. She'll also often mimic people as well, such as wearing clothes and doing mundane human actions like waving. Such example was the time she tried to use lipstick. However, she didn't have actual lips, so she put the lipstick along the top of her teeth. And when you, a legit monster, walk around with red lipstick on your teeth...

Yet Caroline is rather quiet. She was always made to never question what she's told by the Beldam, but even after liberation she still often uses her hands and small noises to get her message across. She was originally created without a voice until "late in development," so she may just not be used to her capacity to physically speak. Still, if she can't get her message across by hand, she will speak out in a somewhat high pitched yet quiet and raspy tone. Like a... a creepy, ghostly little girl's voice.

She's also sometimes oblivious. Note again, the incident with the lipstick. It was several minutes after applying the makeup before seeing that she was unintentionally scaring people, and even then it was Coraline herself that had to tell her that it was the lipstick on her teeth. This oblivious-ness of Caroline's may be due to her being used by the Other World and the Beldam's laws and physics and logic.

Overall, Caroline is, more often then not, cheerful and optimistic and sweet. However, even she has her limits. In fact, she has one H*ll of a trigger... which is seeing any doll or plush with button eyes like hers. Upon sight, she'll immediately charge and grab the doll, violently rip the buttons from their seams, and precede to destroy the buttons somehow (usually by fire, but she's desperate to try anything in this state), always screaming in the meantime something like "dolls with button eyes are the Beldam's spies."

After the deed, she'll take the doll and disappear for longer then normal periods of time before socializing again, seemingly ignorant of how violent she was before. It was completely unknown what she did with the dolls until recently when Coraline found her Other World doppelganger in her living quarters shortly after one of these violent episodes, and Caroline was sewing new non-button eyes onto the doll. Apparently she treats the dolls as if they were alive and aware they were once used as the Beldam's servents and treats them as if they felt pain from the ripping of their buttons. This is considered justified, since whenever Caroline destroys the doll's button eyes in fire, the buttons have many times mysteriously combusted upon contact with fire, very much unlike most normal buttons...

Abilities
Caroline was created to be the best of the Beldam's creations yet. She may have a heart of gold now, but Caroline's abilities can make you forget that she rebelled against the Beldam. Here is a list of Caroline's known powers and abilities.

-Superior strength. This is especially surprising considering how light and thin Caroline is. And Caroline herself seems to sometimes forget her own strength, such as once where she ripped off a closet door with no effort whatsoever. Other World logic I suppose.

-High pain tolerance. No seriously, Caroline can't even feel pain. She has been seen, however, "scratching" herself. Whether this is just her copying humans or if she is trying to rid her of discomfort in the skin is uncertain. Regardless, with most attacks, she is like a balloon: she'll just get right back up again with no ill effects.

-Increased speed. She can often catch opponents off guard with her agility. Her speedy running may be thanks to her light weight. Quite an excellent design choice...

-Sharp claws. Like, no duh, what else do you do with needle fingers? However, she has never been seen trying to use her teeth as an attack. Perhaps they're just decoration?

-Climbing. No s**t, she can do that creepy wall and ceiling climbing thing apparently all not-remotely-human monsters can do. Add the fact she can run faster then your average Olympics sprinter and, well...

-She sees souls. I don't mean ghosts (tho since this is something the Beldam made, that's not entirely out of the question). No, I mean she can literally see your very soul. Apparently her eyesight literally just sees the lifeforce, aura, whatever you call it, in everything. This is said to be because of her button eyes, for in the Other World the button eyes are the gate into the soul. Caroline also explains that this is part of the reason why her eyes are so large, even for a Other World creation. She also apparently can tell when you're lying thanks to this... Don't- just- Don't question it... It's terrifying to think about.

-Delicate touch. She is in so much control of her limbs that she gets away with being friends with insects due to how she can literally sit still. She could pet butterflies with her needles fingers because she's so delicate.

-Reflexes. This likely is thanks to a mixture of her pain tolerance, agility, and possibly her soul sight. However, it's also due to her ridiculous pain tolerance that she often actually doesn't dodge.

-I'm not even entirely sure what to call this. She can literally rip open her cut, revealing her endoskeleton, and send out string that can grab you and drag you back into her body (think Fnaf's Twisted Animatronics with this) with little regard to how large the vict- I mean target is. Nowadays she only uses her insides as a way to store away objects, but she knows how to use this ability to its full potential still.

History
As stated, she was by the Beldam. Why? To replace Coraline of course! The Beldam wanted revenge on Coraline for mocking her power, so she created Caroline to show Coraline how she could make herself a "better, more perfect daughter" while also serving as a living insult from the Beldam to Coraline (mainly since, you know, Coraline HATES being called Caroline). Hence why Caroline looks similar to her Real World counterpart. Caroline was obedient and unaware of the Beldam's abuse and lack of true caring of her, but she was used to the treatment and sometimes the Beldam did show a soft side (so Caroline herself says, but of course you could try to defend your mother).

However, after many trips to the Real World, Caroline found more objects that intrigued her, like books, toys, and eventually a little flower she brought back once. She couldn't read, nor could she see the worth in playthings, but the plant in particular seemed so different to her. She even began bringing back music in secret. This was the start of her natural curiosity, and it would never perish. Eventually she began to question why the Beldam even hated Coraline and started seeing the wrong in the Beldam's ways. However, she was too afraid to do anything, due to the constant reminder of what happened to the Other Wybie when he betrayed the Beldam's will. However, seeing Coraline being so brave even in the Beldam's domain eventually made Caroline draw the final line and betray Beldam, managing to escape with Coraline at the last possible second. She has since refused to go back to the Other World, knowing full well the Beldam's wrath rarely dies.

She was fortunate to find comfort. Coraline knew too well how brave the betrayal to the Beldam was, so she took Caroline in as a friend, eventually seeing the Other World reject as almost a sister of sorts. It has been quite an adjustment for both, but they've managed to get away with being close friends without much of anyone besides Coraline herself, the cat, and of course Wybie knowing Caroline even exists. Yep, real fortunate indeed.

So there you guys go. Pretty much a bunch of info on Caroline as of right now that I have. There's probably more but I'll get to that eventually one day.
