Chapter 10

When I made sure I had everything in my bag, and I brought Artsy too!(AN, the teddy bear from chapter 1) I headed to the gates, playing with my scope on my eye. Zooming in on ahead. My smile in place when I could see the gate with my scope. I saw no one there yet, so I sped up, so I could say I was the first one there.

When I got there, I stretched my arms up, and then I rested my hands behind my head, looking into the sky.

I saw some birds, so to past the time. I found out the distance from me to the bird. 55.6 metres away by the way, when Sasuke, Sakura, Naruto and Tazuna finally arrive. Knowing that Kakashi would be late, I leaned on the gate, and tried to look cool. But I think I failed, because no one was looking at me in awe because of how cool I was being.

“EH, Emi?” Naruto started, and I my eyes dropped on him. His eye locked onto my scope. He doesn’t like it how I ware it when I look at him. It freaks him out. I took it off, as he talked. “What are you doing?” my face fell.

“Trying to look cool…” I muttered, and he laughed at me. My eye twitched majorly at them. I huffed.

After about ten more minutes of waiting, Kakashi finally turned up. I clapped when he did. Everyone looked at me weirdly. “What? Kakashi sensei broke his record of how close on time he arrives, record. By a good two hours too,” I explained, and Naruto Laughed while Sakura giggled. They knew I was right.

Sasuke looked away from me, and Tazuna just looked at Kakashi in disbelief.

“Come on,” Kakashi said, and Naruto walked right through the gates, the rest of us following. When Naruto turned around his arms in the air and out wide.

“Alright! Let’s go!” He cheered, and I looked around. It’s been a while since I’ve been out of the village. Since I was 9.

Sakura sighed. “What are you all excited for?” She asked my friend, and I waved her off, walking to Naruto’s side. Hugging his shoulders. I pushed him down, and I gave him a noggie. (Sp??)

“This one here is excited to be out of the village. It’s his first time, right Naruto?” I asked him as he tried to get out of my head lock.

I let him go, and he glared at me. I laughed. Then I pulled my pout, looking really cute again. His eyes widened, and then hugged me.

I laughed, and hugged him back. “I hate that face!” He growled in my ear, and I laughed harder.

I saw Tazuna point at us, and I raised my eye brow. “Hey, will kids like this really be capable of this mission?” my eye twitched at the question he asked Kakashi sensei.

Naruto froze in my arms, and I slowly let him go as I glared at the man. Naruto caught my eyes, and he had a major eye twitch.

“I, a jounin, will be accompanying you,” Kakashi said, like it answered everything. Yeah right!

Naruto turned around and pointed at Tazuna. yelling. “Hey, geezer, don’t underestimate ninjas! I’m a great Ninja! I’m the elite ninja who will receive the title of Hokage one day. The name is Naruto Uzumaki! Remember it!” I moved, and I crossed my arms.

“Yeah, old man. I’m a great ninja to. And an artist. Double threat man, double threat!” I told him off, and the man just took a swig of the drink, which I know isn’t water.

He looked down at us. “Hokage is the village’s number one ninja, right? I don’t think a guy like you can become one. And you,” His eyes landed on me. “You’re an artist? How can a ninja be an artist? It’s impossible. You mustn’t be a good ninja or artist. Trying to do two things.” Did he just mock my art?!

My whole body was shaking in anger. “Shut up! I’m willing to go through any hardship to become a Hokage.  If I became a Hokage, you’ll have to take notice of me! And you don’t know Emi’s art at all! It’s great!” Thank you Naruto, but this guy is dead to me. He mocked my art. Let’s see how he reacts when the art he doesn’t think will be good, saves his Jashin damn life, eh?!

“I won’t kid. That is, even if you become a Hokage. The girl’s art will be less in my mind.” Eye twitch.

Naruto went to attack the men, but Kakashi stopped him again, and I stayed frozen in place. My hands shaking in pure anger. I’m surprised he hasn’t felt it yet. “I’m going to kill you!!” Naruto shouted as loud as he could.

“Stop it stupid!” Kakashi order my best friend, as said best friend, kept trying to kill the man.

The man started to walk away, “No! No! Let me at least hit him once!” Naruto begged him, and then I moved. Throwing a pre made clay spider.

It landed in front of him. He looked back at me, and then looked at him. “Emiko, don’t,” Kakashi warned me, and I smirked evilly. Tazunas face was right in front of the art.

Tazuna stood up straight, as I walked to the man. I looked down at my art, as he did too. “You see, my art is my ninja art.” I explained, as I did a hand sign. “Katsu!” BOOM! the clay object exploded, leaving a dent in the ground. I walked passed it. “Mock it again, and I’ll explode you right towards your home, got it?” I warned, and he nodded his head. In complete and utter shock.

“Come on, we better get moving,” Kakashi stated, once Naruto had calmed down.

“Right!” Sakura, Naruto, Tazuna and I said. Nodding our heads. Sasuke just nodded his head. Freak.

Naruto ran to my side, and I smiled at him, bumping my shoulder into his, and then he did the same. I did it back, and then he did it again, then I did it a bit too hard, and he tripped and fell onto the ground. I laughed at my friend, and he glared at me.

He jumped up, and tried to catch me in a head lock, but I duck my head and I punched him in the gut. He coughed. Then glared at me.

“No fair!” He yelled, and I laughed.

“Don’t be sad, I’m just more ninja then you,” I explained, and he hit me over rolled his eyes.

“Nah! I am!” He cried out, and I shook my head at him. We then had a fight about whose more ninja.

I could hear Sakura and Kakashi sigh at our antics. Then I froze. I should warn Kakashi about how some S-ranks who might come after me now that I’m out in the open? S-rank ninja’s might come after me because when I was little, I did an attack, my first kill mind you. When Deidara didn’t have enough clay because I nicked it.

Deidara told me to hide behind a tree, and I did. He fought the other ninja and he found out he didn’t have enough clay. I made the clay into explosives, and I killed the ninja, I was 7 at the time.

Deidara was mad at me for that. But proud that I was using my art! Heh heh. Plus, S-ranks have seen me before, and they know they could use me to hurt Deidara. I’m in their bingo book, sadly. It didn’t help that I kill twenty in three explosions. But they might still not have a picture of me… I hope.

“Hey, Tazuna,” Sakura started, pulling me out of my own world. Naruto was looking at me weirdly. I chuckled, and shook my head at him.

I looked back at them as they talked. Tazuna was looking over at Sakura. “What is it?” Tazuna asked her back.

“You’re from the country of the wave, right?” She asked of him, and I looked back at Tazuna. He looked at her weirdly.

“What about it?” he asked, sounding like he was waiting for her to say something bad about it. But Sakura just looked at Kakashi sensei.

“Kakashi sensei, are there also ninja in that country?” Sakura asked our sensei, and Kakashi looked at Sakura.

“No, there are no ninja in the country of the wave. But while the culture and customs of other countries may be different, hidden villages of ninjas do exist. Emiko would know this,” Kakashi told Sakura, and everyone looked at me. I laughed.

“I was born in Iwa, the village hidden in Stone, un,” I stated, and Sakura nodded her head.

Kakashi did a closed eye smile at me, and then looked back at Sakura. And continued to explain to her. “To the many countries that exist on this land, the existence of ninja villages is the equivalent of the country’s military powers. In other words, that is how they are able to maintain the relationship with neighbouring countries. But the villagers aren’t under control of that country. They are supposedly equal in position. One a small island like the Country of Wave, where it is difficult to be influenced by other countries, there is no need for a ninja village. Among the countries that have a ninja village. Since the five countries of fire, water, lightening, wind and earth-“ I cut in again.

“My home! Land of Earth!” I shouted, and Naruto laughed at me. Sakura glared, and Sasuke didn’t do a thing. Emotionless duckbutt!

“Emiko,” I looked at Kakashi. “Don’t interrupt me. Do so again, and I will take your clay from you,” My eyes widen. I pulled my clay pouch off, and I hugged it tight.

“You’re not getting it!” I yelled, and he rolled his eye at me.

“Like I was saying. They occupy a large mass of land and their powers are immense, they are known as the Five Great Ninja Powers. Land of fire’s Village hidden in the Leaf. Konoha. Land of water’s Village Hidden in the Mist. Kiri (AN, I think that it…) Land of Lightning’s Village Hidden in the Clouds. Kumo. Land of wind’s Village Hidden in the Sand. Suna. Land of Earth’s Village Hidden in the Stone. Iwa. ” I put my hand up, and Kakashi sighed at me. “Yes, Emiko?”

“Thank you sensei. There are also some smaller ninja villagers too. Like the waterfall village, the rain village, and others too, but the ones’ sensei said, are the main ones.” I explained, and Kakashi nodded his head.

“Right Emiko. Only the leader of each hidden village is allowed to carry the name of ‘Kage’. Hokage, Mizukage, Raikage, Kazekage, and Tsuchikage, otherwise known as the ‘Firve Kages”, are the ninjas that reign over the tens of thousands of ninjas that exist in the countries throughout the world.” Kakashi finally ended his speech.

I laughed. Sakura did a jump of fake glee. “Wow, so Lord Hokage must be a great man!” I knew that was lie if I ever had heard one from her.

I pictured the Hokage and my old Village’s Tsuchikage. My old village, sure. The guy looked strong but the Hokage… that’s just messed up. I can’t picture the man fighting. Let alone being so strong. He might have when he was younger. Yep, when he was younger. Now? I don’t think so.

“Hey!” I jumped at Kakashi’s voice bring me out of my thoughts. “You all just doubted Lord Hokage, didn’t you?” Kakashi asked.

Sakura, Naruto and I, all froze then shook our heads really fast. “No, no, no!” We all said. Sasuke didn’t even move. Or say anything. There mustn’t be anything going on in his mind. Yep. Nothing at all.

Kakashi walked to Sakura’s side, and rested a hand on her head. “Don’t worry. We won’t have any ninja battles on a C ranked mission,” Kakashi told her, and I slapped my hand to my head.

“You just jinxed it sensei,” I pointed out, and he chuckled at me.

Sakura smiled at Kakashi. Looking relived, even though I said he jinxed it. “Then there’s no worry about meeting a foreign ninja,” She stated, looking happy about that.

I saw movement in Tazuna, and I looked. he was looking… guilty? But why was he guilty?

“Of course,” Kakashi reassured her, and I sighed, frowning.

“But we must always be on guard. Ninja might turn up at any corner. Right Sensei?” I asked of Kakashi, and Kakashi nodded his head.

“Emiko’s right. But it’s unlikely,” He told everyone, and then Sasuke turned around. He looked at Kakashi. I guess he wanted a fight. Ha!

Sasuke looked at me, and glared when he saw I was looking at him. “Dark Duck!” I shouted, and Naruto laughed at me.

I ran to his side, and then we started to talk about one of our passed pranks we pulled on the old man. Still unbelieving that he could be as great as what Kakashi said.

As we were walking, I slipped in a puddle. My eye started to twitch. Naruto laughed at me, and I froze. I looked up at the sky then at the puddle. Impossible. It hasn’t rained in days. I ran my hand threw it, my hand mouths appearing. Heh, not ninja enough to beat me! Then I flicked it at Naruto, so the ninja don’t think I’ve caught on. Naruto frowned at me. I laughed.

I jumped up, and I walked over to Naruto, then we started to walk again. I kept my senses out for an attack.

I could hear water moving behind us. I looked back at the corner of my eyes. I saw two ninja throw something towards Kakashi. Kakashi saw, but he didn’t move. I sighed. Kakashi already knew. Good.

The ninja’s wrapped Kakashi up with their shuriken chain. Kakashi’s eye was widened in shock.

“What?!” He exclaimed, we echoed it.

“One Down!” the ninja’s yelled, and then the ninja pulled back, and Kakashi was ripped into shreds! I looked carefully, and I saw it was logs. Few.

“Kakashi sensei!” Naruto shouted at the top of his lungs, Sakura screamed, Sasuke froze, Tazuna was in shock.

Suddenly, the ninja were behind Naruto, Naruto froze. “Two down,” they both muttered. Moving their shuriken chain about to wrap them around Naruto.

My eyes widened. “Naruto, move!” I shouted, ready to jump in, but Sasuke acted faster.

Sasuke jumped into the air, as I shoved my hand into my pouch. My hand mouth chewing on the clay. Sasuke pulled out a kunai and shuriken, with a determined look on his face. He threw the shuriken at the metal ropes, catching them, and hitting a tree. The ninja both look at Sasuke, as he followed through with the kunai, hitting the middle of the shuriken, making sure they couldn’t pull it out. The ninja realized that when they tried to run, saying. “It won’t come out.”

I pulled my hand out of my pouch, two clay birds flying out of my hand, hovering next to me. Naruto’s mouth was open in shock. It’s obvious that he hasn’t been in this position.

Sasuke landed on the ninja’s arms, squatted down on them. He put hands on the ninja’s arms, and pushed back, kicking the ninja’s in the face.

Naruto was looking on in shock. Naruto, move! Don’t just sand there, idiot!

The ninja looked at Sasuke, then they released their shuriken chain from their gantlets. Sasuke landing on the ground at the same time.

My eyes narrowed as one went for Tazuna, the other towards Naruto. Sakura jumped in front of Tazuna, Sasuke then jumped in front of her.

I pointed at the ninja going towards them, the clay birds flying towards the ninja going towards them. When they were in front of him, he froze. I let out a breath. Then smirked.

I did a hand sign, and was about to kill him, but Kakashi was there, and knocked the ninja out, I sighed, and I let my arms drop. Pouting. I didn’t get to help.

“Hey,” Kakashi said, Sakura beamed at him, yelling Kakashi sensei. Sasuke had an annoyed look on his face. Simular to mine, just without the pouting.

Naruto looked at Kakashi, and then where he had ‘died’.

Kakashi started to walk towards Tazuna, Sasuke and Sakura, and I walked to Naruto, and then Kakashi looked back at Naruto. “Naruto, sorry for not helping out right away. I got you hurt. I didn’t think you would freeze like that.” then continued to walk.

Tazuna let out a breath or relief. Oh you’re not out of the deep end yet, Tazuna, don’t relax yet. Those ninja’s didn’t look like they wanted us.

When Kakashi got to them. “Anyway, Sasuke, good job, you too Sakura.” He praised them, and my made my bird fly in front of his face, and he chuckled. “I assume you would have had them into bits if I didn’t turn up for another second, Emiko?” He asked me, looking back.

I laughed. “You know me too well Sensei,” I stated, helping Naruto stand up.

Naruto was looking at Sasuke in shock. I frowned, and I touched his back. He looked at me. “Hey Naruto. Don’t beat yourself up about it, okay?” I asked, and then I smiled. He frowned at me too.

“Hey!” Sasuke called out towards Naruto and I. we both looked up at him. “Are you hurt, scaredy cat?” He asked, and Naruto twitched.

He went to attack Sasuke, “Sasuke!” but Kakashi stopped him.

“Naruto!” He stopped in his attack, and looked at Kakashi. “There’s poison on these guys’ nails. We need to take out the poison right away,” Naruto looked down at his hand, rising it up so he could get a better look. “We have to open up your wound and leech out the poisoned blood. Don’t move that much, or the poison will spread through your body.” Naruto frowned at his hand. I forced a smile at Naruto.

“I’ll make Sasuke look bad, for you Naruto” I whispered, Naruto look back at me. I moved my bag so I could pull out Artsy. Everyone was watching what I was doing. Then I did a hand sign, making the teddy as hard and heavy as stone, rocks, or steel. Just, really, really hard! And heavy! Well, for those who aren’t used to him.“Sasuke, catch!” I threw it at him. He tied to catch it, but it threw him back a few metres. He looked at it in shock, barely holding it up above ground. I scoffed. “Don’t pick on Naruto when you can’t even catch that, or hold it up right.” Then I smirked. “So sad, you can’t even hold something a seven year old girl could hold without flinching,” I cooed, and he glared at me.

“Alright, Emiko, Sasuke, break it up,” Kakashi ordered us, we looked at him, it seems in the time I threw the teddy, and picking on Sasuke, he had tied up the ninja’s. Kakashi walked to Sasuke, plucked the teddy out of his arms. Kakashi faltered with it, almost dropping it. Then he put more strength in holding it. Looking at it in shock. Before shaking his hard and threw it at me. I caught it, without stumbling, and then I released the jutsu on it, I put it in my bag, and then threw a smirk at Sasuke. He was glaring at me.

I pointed at the sky, and shouted. “Dark Duck!!”

He looked away from me then. Kakashi looked at Tazuna. “By the way, Tazuna,” Tazuna jumped in fright, and then looked at my sensei.

“w-what is it?” He stuttered, hoping Kakashi didn’t figure it out.

Kakashi looked back at Tazuna. “I need to talk to you.” Tazuna froze, and I snickered. Busted! Ha!

We then all walked so we were surrounding the ninja. Not to close though. I pulled out my own bingo book from a few years ago. Stole it from Deidara when he didn’t tell me what was so shocking about it. Found out I was in the book. Out-dated now, but meh. I recognised their too from the book.

I found these two ninjas, as Kakashi started to tell everyone who they were. “These guys are chuunin class ninja from the Village hidden in the mist. They are ninjas known to keep fighting no matter the cost.”

“They are called the demon brothers for a reason.” I added, everyone looked at me, and I waved the book. “Was my brothers, no longer his, mine though.” I explained. And then I pocketed it.

“How are you able to detect our action?” one asked us, and I snickered, they glared at me.

“I tripped in a puddle! On you! HA!” I laughed, and Kakashi sighed at my antics.

“It hasn’t rained for the past few days, and it’s sunny today, so a water puddle shouldn’t exist. Emiko found out when she felt the chakra in the water, by the looks of it.” I nodded my head.

Tazuna looked at Kakashi, in question. “Why did you let the kids fight when you knew that?” He asked Kakashi.

“If I was up to it, I could have killed these two in the blink of an eye. But,” Kakashi turned his gaze at Tazuna, with an accusing look in his eye. “I needed to know who the target for these two was.”

“What do you mean?” like you don’t already know, you liar!

Kakashi turned at faced Tazuna. “In other words, were you being targeted, or somebody from our ninja group? We have not heard anything about you being targeted by ninja. Your request was to protect you from armed groups like gangs and robbers. This is a mission that’s above a B rank. Our job was to support and guard you until you completed the bridge. If ninja are our enemy, this mission would have been an expensive B rank. It looks like you have your reasons, but it only troubles us if you lie in your request details. This wasn’t part of the mission,” Kakashi told the old man. Old man was just told. I snickered at the man’s face.

Sakura looked at the man, with a gentle face. “This mission is out of our league,” you wouldn’t do anything anyway, useless Sakura! “Let’s quit!” She shrugged, like it was nothing.

Wow, she’s heartless. There could be a big reason why he did this. “We need anaesthesia to take out the poisoned blood out of Naruto, too.” Okay, not completely heartless. She was worried over Naruto too. “We need to go back to the village and see a doctor!”

Everyone, including me. Looked at Naruto, as he looked at his hand still. He looked up at us, sensing someone looking at him. “This sure is a burden. Let’s go back to the village to cure Naruto,” Kakashi said, overdramatically if I say so myself.

I saw Naruto’s angry face. Suddenly, he pulled out a kunai from his kunai holster, and before I could stop him, and do it less painfully, he shoved the kunai into his hand. I winced in pain at his painfilled face. Naruto looked away from us, showing us his back.

Naruto looked at his hand as he worked on getting the poison out. “Why am I so different? What I always…” He trailed off, my hand went to my chest, and it clenched. Naruto... “Damn it!”

Sakura ran towards Naruto, but stopped a few metres away from him. “Naruto, what are you doing?” Sakura asked of him, and I glared at her.

“Sakura, just shut up and listen to him!” I snapped, and she looked back at me. “You always say how annoying Naruto is, and you hate him. So don’t pretend to be someone you’re not. It’s annoying, and will not get you any true friends,” I told her, and she looked shocked at me. I just look away from her.

Naruto looked back at me with a smile. I waved a hand to tell him to continue. “I should be stronger. I’ve accomplished lots of missions and I’ve practiced techniques every day. Emiko has helped me too,” I smiled at him with a sisterly gaze. A blood drop, dropped onto the ground from his hand. “I’m never going to do something that will require someone to help me. I’m never going to be frightened and try to back out of things. I’m not going to lose to Sasuke,” Sasuke rolled his eyes at that. I glared at the Uchiha. Naruto lifted his and a little. “I vow that to this pain in my left hand.  I’m going to protect the old man with this kunai!” Naruto turned around and faced us, forcing a shaky smile on his face. “The mission is still on.”

“Naruto,” He looked at me. “I’m always going to want to protect you. You’re not going to stop me doing that boy,” I stated, and he sighed at me.

“Your my sister in all ways but not blood,” my heart grew in happiness at his words. “And I’m going to protect you!” I laughed, nodding my head.

“We’ll protect each other, my brother,” and then we both laughed. “Hey that rhymed!”

Then Kakashi spoke up. “Naruto, it’s nice that you took out the poison blood so spiritedly, but you’re going to die from loss of blood if any more comes out.”

Everything went silent. As Naruto started to look sick. His whole body shaking in fright. I stiffened a snicker at his expense.

Kakashi appeared behind Naruto with a closed eye smile. “It’s not good if you don’t stop it right away. Seriously,” and that, just made Naruto freak out.

Naruto stated to run side to side, flinging his arms around like an octopus screaming. “No, no, no, no, no! I can’t die like this!” I snickered at him.

Sakura walked towards Naruto, with her hands on her hips annoyed look on her face.

“Show me your hand,” Kakashi ordered Naruto, and he stopped moving, handing Kakashi his hand. A worried look in his eyes.

“No, help me!” Naruto screamed, and I walked to Naruto’s side, and I rubbed his back. He looked at me worryingly.

“You’ll be fine, calm down, yah?” I stated, and he nodded his head.

Sakura sighed. “Naruto, you have a self-abusing personality. That’s called masochism, you know,” Sakura lectured him, and I glared at him. that’s right, HIM! heh heh, no, I know it’s a her… maybe.

“And so do you. ‘I’m on a diet?’ you’re not fat Sakura,” I stated, and she glared me, and I rolled my eyes, and I looked back at Naruto.

I looked at his hand, and I saw it was already healing! What?! Is it the Nine tails? It might be… I’ve only see myself heal like that, and that’s because of my weird kinjutsu.

“Um, um,” Naruto mumbled, and Kakashi and I looked up at him. Naruto looked really freaked out. “Am I… okay? You and Emi have a serious look on your faces…” Kakashi’s eye landed on me.

Third person!

Kakashi looked at Emiko with a calculating look. Emiko raised her eye brow at him, but he looked down at Naruto’s hand.

Kakashi started to wrap up the blondes hand. “You should be okay,” Kakashi told Naruto, thinking. ‘It must have been the nine tails power…’

When Kakashi finished wrapping up Naruto’s hand, he stood up, and looked at Emiko. “Emiko, may I talk to you?”

Emiko raised her head to look at her sensei in the eye. She had confusion written all over her features, before compiling to her sensei request.

They walked away from the rest of the team so they couldn’t hear them. Kakashi looked his student. “Do you know about Naruto?” He asked the girl straight out.

“No beating around the bush, straight to the question. Good, un,” Emiko took a breath, and nodded her head. “Yeah, he didn’t tell me right away, but he did,” they both looked over at Naruto, getting scolded by Sakura. “I’ll be the first person he comes to when he needs someone. I’ve been there for him since we were nine. His first friend. The one who accepted him first and he knows I’ll except him, no matter what he does.”

Kakashi looked at the girl in shock. Sure, their best friends. But she excepted that? Not a lot of people would so quickly. “Why?”

Emiko looked at Kakashi in shock. “Didn’t you have a best friend? Someone you would do anything for?” Kakashi thought back to Obitio and Rin. “Well, that’s what we do for each other. Plus,” Kakashi raised his eye brow at the little bomber. “What can I judge? My brother is an S-rank criminal, right, Inu?”

Kakashi took a step back. She knows… she knows that Kakashi was one of the ANBU that took her back that day. But how. “How?”

She laughed. “Didn’t know. Just a wild guess. They usually guide me right and true. Plus, you seemed familiar to me.”

Emiko walked back to Naruto and the rest of the team, resting her arm on Naruto’s shoulder, jumping into the conversation.

Kakashi sighed. ‘That girl just keeps on surprising me. I wonder when that will stop. But I guess, Emiko wouldn’t be Emiko is she didn’t. I just have to be more careful.’

There’s chapter ten! Yay! So, what else does Emiko know? She’s in the bingo book? What else is there to Emiko, just how strong is she if Kakashi has troubles with holding Artsy! Hahaha.

Oh, and sorry if spelling, grammar and all that are bad, I fail at it. just putting it out their hahaha!

Anyway! Question time!

Does Sakura stress you out in part 1 of Naruto? She does me, I want to scream at her to tell her that she’s useless and she go and train from dust to dawn!
