Chapter 13

I winced in pain from my rib again; I put my knee on the ground holding myself around my waist. I felt someone next to me.

I looked and I saw Sasuke. He helped me stand up, as much as I hated it. I let him. He wrapped an arm around my waist, and helped me stand up. We both faced the fight on the water.

"Let me tell you, Zabuza. That the same jutsu won't work against me twice," Kakashi told Zabuza. "What are you going to do now?" Kakashi asked of him, and I smirked.

Sasuke took me back a bit, so we were in front of Tazuna.

"Sakura, don't let your guard down," Sasuke told Sakura, and she nodded her head, before she glared at me. Then she stepped so she was in front of Tazuna.

I ignored her, and I watched the battle.

Kakashi and Zabuza were having a stare off, until Zabuza snapped the shuriken shut. My eyes narrowed. My other hand went to my scope.

"Can you?" Sasuke asked, and I cut him off.

"Already on it," I stated. I could see Kakashi's hand was bleeding through my scope. Ouch, that's got to hurt. "Kakashi sensei's hand is bleeding. But his not letting up the eye contact," I explained to him, and Sasuke nodded his head.

Zabuza pushed the shuriken down harder on Kakashi's hand, Kakashi struggling to hold it away from his face. Then, Kakashi moved his hand to the side, and with a burst of strength, pushed the shuriken back and making it fly out of Zabuza's hand. I didn't bother to explain it to Sasuke, as I knew he could see that.

Kakashi and Zabuza, at the same time, jumped back. In mid-air Zabuza did a hand sign. We saw Kakashi's eye widened.

"Sharingan," Sasuke muttered, and I sighed.

"Hate it," I stated and Sasuke looked at me strangely. I smirked. "If we get out of this, I'll tell you the story, alright," Sasuke smirked, he was finally going to get the answers he wanted; I knew that's what he was thinking.

When they landed, Kakashi was doing the same hand signs as Zabuza in prefect timing. My eyes widening. I zoomed in on their hands, going back and forth. "Impossible. At the same time? How?" I muttered to myself.

"Bird!" they both called out at the end, their hands into bird position. The water in-between them, started to move, two huge strands of it, rising out of the water. "Water style. Water dragon jutsu!" they both yelled.

The water dragons twisted and turned around each other and looked like a growing DNA strand. The dragons heads collided in the middle of going back down, making water rain down and a wave of water head toward us.

I raised my arm above my head, the water hitting us all. We yelled in effort to stay up. Sasuke had an harder job of keeping me up too.

When I looked back, I saw that the dragons were now fighting each other, bitting and nipping at each other, trying to gain the upper hand.

On the last bite, they both exploded into heavy rain, landing around Zabuza and Kakashi. My eyes widened in awe. Now, that's Art.

The water landed on us, and it made it hard to see Kakashi and Zabuza. When it cleared up enough, I could see that Zabuza and Kakashi were in the middle. It seems that Zabuza tried to attack Kakashi with his sword, but Kakashi blocked it with a kunai.

They were both glaring at each other, I moved away from Sasuke.

"I'm fine, you concentrate on Tazuna and yourself," I ordered him, and he nodded his head.

Zabuza was trying to get through Kakashi's kunai, but Kakashi wasn't letting up. My eyes narrowed. I jumped when my scope picked up on chakra that wasn't Zabuza's or my teams. I looked around and my eyes landed on a figure in the tree. My eyes narrowed at him. He looked down at me. My hand went to my scope, and I zoomed in on him. But he disappeared.

I found him again with my scope, but he was now hiding from me in leafs. I rolled my eyes, and I looked back at the battle. Ignoring him for now.

I saw that Kakashi and Zabuza were now running around in circles, not looking away from each other. I see... can the eye contact have something to do with this? Can it affect the Sharingan?

They both stopped at the same time, and they looked at each other. Both arms moved at the same time into another hand sign. I leaned forward a bit.

"He's moving just like him!" Tazuna exclaimed, and I nodded my head not looking away from the battle. "And with such perfect timing!"

"So it seems," I muttered, before Sakura could speak.

"What's going on, Sasuke? Emiko?" She asked us both, and I sighed.

"Watch carefully Sakura, if your smart, like I know you are, then you might be able to figure it out," I explained to her, and I knew she looked at me weirdly without looking at her. I knew Sasuke was wondering if I really have figured it out.

"Did you just complement me?" She asked in disbelief.

I waved her off. "Remember, battle mode me, and normal me. Two different things," I answered, before I stopped talking. Zabuza was moving his arm.

"Predicted by him," Kakashi spoke, and I almost fell over. What the hell?! Where did that come from?!

Zabuza froze, so it had something to do with him. Was he thinking it? Must be, but can the Sharingan read minds? Or maybe... it's a genjutsu?

They both moved they're arms at the same time into a hand sign.

"Has such unpleasant eyes, right?" Kakashi asked, and I jumped. Alright, so he is somehow reading this guy's mind, through his eyes.

They both changed hand signs. Zabuza scoffed. Trying to brush it off. "What you're doing is just copying. Nothing original," Zabuza told Kakashi, like it was nothing.

"You can't beat me, you monkey!" they both said, and I smirked. Oh, Zabuza, you are so dead.

They both started to do hand signs at a quicker pace. "I'll make it do that you'll never open that copy mouth of your again!" Zabuza exclaimed. "That's..."

I looked towards where he was looking, and I saw nothing. My eyes narrowed. This is getting really complex. That's why my art is so great, nothing complex about it. It's just boom, your dead. Not any of their drawn out stuff. Well, you can draw it out if you made it that way, but it's quicker to just make it go boom!

"Water style! Giant Vortex jutsu!" Kakashi called out. What?! He did the jutsu before Zabuza... but how? That's impossible, right? Right?!

"What... what?!" Zabuza stuttered. Right what I was thinking.

One of my hands grabbed the bottom of my hair in confusion. As a circle of water rose from the water in front of Kakashi. It was spinning wildly, before the circle filled up with water, and shooting toward Zabuza in a flash.

Zabuza yelled something, but the water was too loud to hear. He shouted in pain when he was hit with the water.

Some of the water headed towards us, and hit us. I raise my arms to protect my face. I braced myself to stop me from falling.

I could hear trees falling from the force of the water, yelling from my team, except for Kakashi. I hate water! I like the earth and air. That's it! Lightning and water suck!

My hand flew to my scope, when I heard Kunai hit something and the water stopped. I looked around and I saw Kakashi in a tree, crouched, and Zabuza against said tree, kunai in him.

"This is the end," Kakashi repeated. That was the third time some said that. Lovely.

The water started to pull back into the ocean. I sighed. No more water, please. Zabuza looked up at Kakashi in shock.

"Why?" He muttered; just loud enough for me to hear. "Can you see the future?" he asked.

"Yeah," Kakashi raised a kunai, "You're going to die."

I smirked. But then out of nowhere, senbon(sp?) needles flew out, and hit Zabuza in the neck. Killing him instantly.

Tazuna, Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura all gasped. My scope zeroed in on the chakra. It was the boy from before. Heh.

Zabuza fell to the ground, stomach first. Everyone looked at the boy.

"Hehe, it was true. He did die," The boy told us, and I narrowed my eyes at him. If he was a good guy, then why did he run away and hide from me before, and not just stay still? Something's fishy here...

I saw Naruto climb out of the water and look at the boy, before looking at Zabuza. Shock written all over his face.

I ran over to Naruto, and I hugged him. He stumbled back. He looked at me and I smiled; before I hit him over the head.

"You should have climb out of the water. You could have been hurt," I scolded him, and he covered his head.

"Emi!" he whined, before looking back at the dead body of Zabuza.

I looked back too, in time to see Kakashi jump to Zabuza's body and check his pulse. We waited for his verdict.

"He really is dead," Kakashi confirmed, and I pouted.

"Darn, and I really wanted to use him as my next art project," I joked, trying to still the tense atmosphere.

I did a hand sign, and I made the explosives come off of him. The boy watched me carefully. I opened my pouch, and then explosives all jumped in, turning back into clay. I pouted at the fact I didn't get to use them.

I looked up the boy and I smirked. As he bowed his head. "Thank you very much. I was looking for a chance to kill Zabuza," he explained.

"That mask. If I remember correctly, you must be a hunter-nin from the Village Hidden in the Mist," Kakashi told the boy, and I nodded my head.

"You are very well informed," Naruto then moved from my side, and moved in front of Tazuna, Sasuke and Sakura, ready for another fight. I sighed and shook my head at him. Before walking to his side.

"A hunter-nin?" Naruto asked everyone. I snickered, patting his back.

"Calm down, will you?" I asked, and he looked at me, as I looked up at the hunter-nin.

"You don't know what a hunter-nin is? You should have learned it in the academy," Sakura stated, like a know it all.

"But Sakura, this is Naruto. He slept in most classes," I said, like it explained everything, which it really did. "Hunter-nin are those who assassinate exiled ninja like Zabuza or my brother, who have gone against the village they were born in. the first time I met one, Deidara flew us away," I explained, and Naruto nodded his head. "They do it to conceal any secret of their village, or because they see a rouge nin, and go! You are rouge, I kill you now!" I joked, and Naruto chuckled at my words.

"That's common sense Naruto! You should study more," Sakura bossed him, and I glared at her.

"Oi, Naruto learns with experiencing things, not by books and facts," I snapped, and she flinched.

She sighed. "Normal Emiko is back," She muttered to herself.

"Yes, I am a member of the pursing ninja unit that hunt exiled ninja," He told us and I rolled my eyes.

Naruto suddenly ran forward, towards the hunter-nin. He looked at the body of Zabuza and the hunter-nin. Glaring up at the hunter-nin. I ran to Naruto's side, wincing at the pain in my ribs.

"Who the hell are you?!" Naruto screeched up at the ninja, and I slapped a hand on my forehead. Is he asking for another fight? "Who are you?!" He shouted again.

I saw Kakashi stand up, and looked us. "Calm down, Naruto. He's not an enemy," My eye twitched.

We both turned and faced our sensei. "That's not what I'm asking! But... Zabuza was killed!" He exclaimed, his right arm going out to the side. Almost hitting me.

"Oi, carefuly with that arm, yah!" I yelled, and I he ignored me. I rolled my eyes at him for that.

Kakashi walked towards us. "He... he was so strong, but he was killed so easily by a kid that's not that different from me!" Naruto shouted, and I frowned. Crossing my arms. "We... we look like idiots! I can't accept this!"

Kakashi stood in front of us, and looked down at Naruto.

"I understand how you can't believe it. But this is real," Kakashi suddenly pulled is hand out of his pocket, and ruffled Naruto's hair with his hand. "In this world, there are kids who are younger than you, and stronger than me," he finished.

"Plus, Naruto. Zabuza couldn't move to dodge those needles. The hunter-nin had an advantage that we didn't. Like when I killed those rouges when I was young. I had the element of surprise on my side, and so did he," I explained, trying to bring up his spirits. A sad Nauto doesn't work.

I looked up at the hunter-nin as he disappeared within a swirl of wind and leaf's. My scope found his chakra forming near Zabuza's body.

I looked over at him, as he picked Zabuza up. Putting him on his back. He looked at us. My eyes narrowed.

"Your friends right, I did have the element of surprise," he stated, and the continued. "Your battle ends here for now. I must go dispose of his corpse. It's a body filled with secrets, if you'll excuse me." with a hand sign, he was gone with the wind.

"He disappeared..." Naruto muttered in shock. I sighed. Something is not right here.

I saw Kakashi pull his forehead protector over his sharingan. Naruto ran from my side, to where the hunter-nin was. Hitting my rib in the process. I whimpered in pain, about to fall over, but Kakashi grabbed the back of my shirt to keep me standing, looking at Naruto.

"He's not around here anymore," Kakashi said, and he looked at me, as I brushed his hand off my shirt, and I walked to Naruto as he fell onto his knees. And stared to punch the ground in frustration.

I frowned at him. "What was that?! What were we?!" Naruto shouted as he kept punching at the ground. I frowned at him, he is going to hurt himself if he keeps going like this.

"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!" He shouted over and over, as he punched the ground. Kakashi walking over to us.

"Alright! Stop sulking, Naruto!" I snapped, and he looked at me as Kakashi grabbed his hand, stopping him from punching the ground. "And be careful where you fling your arms when you ran, you hit me, un," I growled out. He froze.

"Sorry, Emiko..." he muttered, and I shook my head, sighing.

"It's alright, it was an injury you hit, that's what was the bad thing," I explained, and his eyes widened.

"Naruto," Naruto looked at Kakashi, and so did I. "Things like this happen when you're a ninja. If you don't like it, make it up next time. As Emiko said, stop sulking."

I snickered at Kakashi's words, slightly hurting my ribs. But I've grown used to the pain by now. Kakashi let go of Naruto's arm and Naruto leaned forward. Looking down still.

Kakashi faced his back to us, as I grabbed the back of Naruto jacket, pulling him up. Wincing a little. "Get up, lazy bum," I ordered him, and he looked at me with saddened eyes. I frowned. "Everything will be fine. You'll get stronger. We'll get stronger, alright?" he nodded his head, with a small smile.

"Our mission hasn't ended yet," Kakashi called out. "We need to take Tazuna to his house," Oh yeah! The mission. Forgot about that. heh heh.

Tazuna laughed, pulling on his hat. "Sorry about that everyone! Just rest at my house!" he exclaimed, and I chuckled at his upbeat attitude.

"Alright, let's cheer up and go!" Kakashi ordered us all, and I snickered.

"Right! Cheer up! Think of the happiest thing you can, and smile!" I then started to run a bit. But I froze in pain. My body finally catching up with my injuries. I knelled on the ground, gripping at my gut, and ribs.

I heard something hit the ground behind me. I looked back, and I saw Kakashi had fallen too.

"Sensei, Emi!" Naruto shouted, Naruto ran to my side and helped me stand up. We walked to Kakashi's side.

"What? What happened?" Sakura asked, and I winced as I jolted my injury.

My hand moved to my scope, and I saw that his chakra levels were down. I sighed in relief. "Kakashi sensei?" Naruto muttered, before shouting his name, making me wince at the loudness.

"Oi! Naruto, shhhh. His passed out from over use of chakra. Like I did the day of the bell test," I explained to him, and he looked at me. Seeing if I could do anything. I sighed.

My hand went to my pouch on my hip, my hand mouths turning up. I made them eat as much clay as I could. Before pulling my hand out.

I opened my hand and the bird flew out of my hand mouth, sat on the ground and grew. I smirked.

"Naruto, help me on," I ordered him.

Naruto walked as close as he could to the bird, before putting his hands on my sides. I saw Sasuke standing behind Naruto, hovering. Making sure Naruto didn't slip up.

Naruto picked me up; making me wince once, before I scrambled onto my bird. I straddled the bird around the neck. Before I made it pick Kakashi up with his tail. (AN, like what Deidara did with Gaara!)

I smirked down at my team and Tazuna, saluting them. "Tazuna, you lead the way. I'll follow from above," I called down to him, as I took off into the sky.

I did a flip in the air, as I was flying directly above them. Towards Tazuna's house!
