Depressed and sorrowful eyes

They are not full of surprise

You wear them as a disguise

Because of too many goodbyes

It is easy to chastise

Easy to despise

Difficult to compromise

Logic only defies

The ways that are unwise

Only when hatred dies

And days of love arise

Will we be wise
