When my mother saw holes in my jeans

She either patched then or threw them away

Nowadays holey jeans have become the style

Of current youthful denim wearables

Where they are called used or distressed

A trend that emerged from Punk Rock

And the grunge youth movement

Which was rebelling against the establishment

Does anyone who wears these holey jeans

Realize what they really mean

In the cultural sense

Or are they just wasting their money

On a fad that will fade away

To a Buzz Feed
