Dies Natalis Solis Invicti
Dies Natalis Solis Invicti
The Sun god is light
On this sacred night
We see in bulbs so bright
The seeds of childish delight
But the reality is not quite
What we thought was right
The Son of God comes tonight
To be the incarnate invite
To a much better life of might
Over the darkness of plight
In a world without ugly spite
Where there is no need to fight
And everything is alright
The title is the Roman feast that the Emperor Aurelian moved to December 25th to compete with the Christian feast of Jesus' birth.
