Women wore their hair up in large plumes

With the front arranged in curls

Court dress in France bore fruit

In intricate Rococo style

With elaborate hoop skirts and panniers

Over tight corsets with bone stays and petticoats

Elaborate colorful decorations prevailed

Imagine having to wear this now

Uncomfortable with no way to sit

Reminding women to stand

While the King was at court
