Orange Pupper(adoptable!) + Furry Tag (you all knew this was coming)
First things first, a smol pupper (I think it started out as a Dobermen?) with orange-y bits
Yes it's an adoptable, all you need is name, gender, and how you'll use them :>
And yes, the stomach, tail, and neck... er, lack of, are all actual fruity orange bits, so I don't think you'll be able to use this pup in realistic roleplays. 030
Then again as lineless, because it just looks cool:
AAAAAAND THE FURRY TAG
For the very few of you who haven't guessed by now, I'm a total furry, though I'm personally against the sexual side of the fandom. :P
If you have a problem with that, that's fine, just don't spread hate around here, please.
nowwwwww, the tag itself, which I got from the YouTuber Rainy Chaos :3
________
1: Why are you a furry?
I mean is that even a question
Animals are cool bro
And anthros are pretty dang cool too
YOU CANT GO WRONG
(Seriously tho I've always loved animals and wanted to be one so this is like the next best thing to actually morphing into one at will :0)
2: What do you have in common with your fursona?
Welllll everything I guess, I haven't gotten around to giving Cheesecake a personality of her own since I'm scared I'm going to start losing the connection with her (I really truly love her, and I don't want to have her become someone I can't associate as well with, which has happened in the past with Stag and Half).
Buuuut for when I do, she'll definitely be an awkward turd who has conflicting dreams of being "popular" (and mostly loved) and pursuing what she desperately wants to in life :>
Oh, I'm sorry, did you think these would be short? Nah.
3: How long have you been a furry?
Erhm, I don't really remember when I first became a furry, only that it happened. It depends on what you qualify as being a furry; I only got a Fur Affinity a few weeks ago, and I only started saving for a fursuit this past school year, but I've always been drawn to being an animal in general 030
4: What was your first exposure to the furry fandom?
Welllll, funnily enough I first heard about them through random internet thingies, and how furries were absolutely disgusting because of the 5% of the fandom that draws NSFW stuff with them. Note the sarcasm. But I soon learned what a fursona was, and created my own.
Actually, now that I think about it, that was probably back towards the beginning of sixth grade, because I remembering drawing a random glowey blue wolf on the Pokemon art academy and asking if anyone knew what a fursona was :>
Shall we reminisce on old art?
Joy. Now let's keep the trend of never drawing or looking at this again.
5: Who knows that you are a furry?
The Internet. *confetti memes*
Umm, besides you people, kinda only the irl friends who check my account here/on tumblr.
Still working up the courage to tell my parents about it so I can get permission to buy a fursuit(or more likely a partial) of Cheesecake later on.
actually, I might be able to commission my bro's friend, I think he makes fursuits... :0
6: How do people usually respond when you tell them you are a furry?
Well, I've generally only told people who I know are cool with it, so I haven't gotten any negativity yet. That's also why I'm dreading telling other people I know irl, since I really don't take rejection of any kind well. I've most definitely considered waiting till I have a place of my own to actually show and buy stuff from the fandoms I'm in, but then again I'm worried that the societal norm will have suppressed those parts of me by then if I don't open up. :P
7: Do you think the stereotypes about the fandom are accurate?
Not at all. As I mentioned before, like 5% of the fandom are actually into NSFW or even BDSM stuff, and despite the idea that "they run around acting feral and trying to bite people and stuff" they actually are a great support group for the varying people in the fandom. While fursuiting or having a fursona can provide an alter ego to slip behind and not be judged for your race/gender/beauty/etc., almost all furries know that what they do is just that, and not an actual transformation into a creature or anything.
I think that a lot of the hate for the furries tends to stem from the stereotypes, not to mention the general negativity towards those who stray from the norm, so I myself find it pretty important to point out to people that no, not all furries are feral monsters who spend their time drawing A-rated art and push for legalizing animal/human sexual relationships. Sure there are a few, but there's always some of those people in every pocket of society and subculture.
8: Do you believe that you are entirely human or consider yourself a human?
Yeah, of course. Just because I'm fascinated with animals and how they work, move, etc, doesn't mean I consider myself one. I mean, if you roleplay as a demon or whatever else you might do, does that mean you identify as one? Not at all.
9: Do you have a fursuit?
;~;
10: Have you attended any furry conventions?
Again, since I don't have a fursuit and haven't told my parents about me being a furry, that would be a no. I doubt I'll be able to until I'm over eighteen, since my parents are pretty uneasy about me going too far away or meeting a lot of new people at a time. I suppose it's for a good reason, though the illogical side of me hates it. :>
11: Do you hate anything about the fandom?
Eyup. Like I said before, the people who only do NSFW stuff with it. I mean, I get that that's appealing to some people, but it gives the rest of us a bad reputation that we did nothing to deserve and have to do everything to overcome. It just makes a fun hobby of being a furry difficult and tedious in the face of all the hate for that one specific (and tiny) section of the fandom.
12: Is there anything you would like to say to young or new members of the fandom?
I think I qualify as both, so... uh, I guess don't let people outside the fandom tell you that what you're doing is disgusting or anything like that, and remember to be kind to your fellow furries and spread a good image of the fandom as best as you can. :3 Just don't lose sight of yourself; if you're not sure about doing something related to the fandom, then don't do it, simple as that. Just because you like furries doesn't mean you have to go to Cons or do certain things. You can and should still have limits and be safe around other people and things you don't know.
Aaaaand that's it folks! Sorry if I bored you with this, it just seemed like a cool thing to do. 030 you can do it if you'd like, it's not the kind of tag to make other people do though. Only if you feel the need or the want. :>
*clenches fist* feel the want
