Recolor + Cell shading /December 12th of 2016/
So first of, if you check my Instagram in well aware there's only one watermark only because it's not as easy to steals someone's art regarding the username, and it's smack dab in the middle so it'll be hard to crop out something so yeah
Anyways, I've been lacking in skill in my art because I haven't been drawing as much
I decided to draw since I was bored in class and it was SSR or basically study hall- and I could draw
So I got the inspiration to do cell shading from LavenderTowne @ YouTube on their "COLOR THIS, NOT THAT (Coloring Tips and Mistakes to Avoid)" video which talked about coloring tips of course but also on ways of shading in a short summary, and with my current art style that's developing into a more anime/manga, or I'd say, modern Japanese animation style, since in anime the shading is more of sharper shapes than soft ones, I thought it'd be more appropriate to do cell shading, and once I heard of what blend option to use I was quite surprised that my art work looked more put together.
For the white bubbles, it was something I used to do in my pixel art creations which I think I was quite good at, but I recently found myself forgetting how I did the shading and the aspect of drawing in pixels. I forgot where I saw the idea of adding white bubbles across the art, mainly in the hair, but doing it again is a nice charm.
Although this recolor is from a piece I did so recent, I think since I'm teaching myself more and more from the experience I've seen from other artists helped me to see how to do this stuff.
I still find the the left eye (physically on the girl, it's the right eye to who looks at it) quite off putting, but I've never practiced with that eye most, but I think I'll practice with it in the future or even today.
